Don't see where you're getting that from what I said. Like everyone else I was sickened by our display against Airdrie and I may well have sacked him on the spot that night. Thinking about it though, the fact that we didn't have the money to do it and ultimately it would have meant yet another new manager coming in, having to bring in his own squad etc etc, I would have given him his last season. Hopefully, what we've seen so far this term continues (and maybe even gets better) thus proving that keeping him was the correct decision. Time will tell.

A good friend of mine said the other day that we’ve tried the “sacking managers time and time again, the only thing we haven’t tried is actually sticking by one.”

I totally agree that the airdrie game was horrific, it was my worst feeling ever watching Falkirk, but I’m so glad we stuck by him.

Some folk on here really have some bizarre opinions, however they are just opinions and the good thing is no one really gives a toss what they think.

    Mon the bairns.

Not necessarily, I would suggest that there are many fans genuinely concerned with fear, anxiety and worry with the club pleading for investment.
If what the recent posters are pitching in with are true, (meeting the 400k funding issue, replacing the existing pitch, and future concerts) It would be good for the BOD to give a simple statement that the funding black hole is now covered and some potential additional revenue streams are being investigated, with further news to follow. Can imagine the level of abuse Deans and co would have got if they were in place under the same circumstances.

Will that be the same ones that probably still haven’t subscribed to the FSS?

Enjoying some sun until the results came in. Haven’t even bothered listening to the managers post match interview nor the highlights. It doesn’t take much to work out we are brutally short in defence albeit Donaldson missing was a blow. Williamson starting is baffling after such a long time out, and if I’m reading most posts correctly, we’ve continued with one up front. McGlynn and the feel good factor over, at very best we will make the playoffs.
Not sure if true but hearing after the Edinburgh game we’re in a bit more financial trouble than what’s been released publicly. Looking forward to the AGM.

I don’t know a thing about the clubs financial situation, but why is anyone surprised if it is worse than we thought! It’s not like we weren’t warned, but lots of you on here didn’t like it when the directors told it like it was. If you feel strongly enough to post on here then surly you’d want the club to be successful/survive. I read some posters on here taking an FSS membership, then cancelling it after a bad result, then taking it back out again after a good result. Furfucksake!

For me I don’t honestly think there’s many wishing ill or failure with anyone regardless of player, coach, manager, or anyone connected with the club. The point that many are making with the forward players brought in, is the similarities of poor signings the club has made in the past few seasons.
Yes I believe M&S have steadied the ship defensively, but as we seen on Saturday, it’s upfront where surgery is critically needed.

Does that not make you sick to your stomach that there’s even one so called fan that “wishes ill or failure” on anything to do with FFC?

True, we had heard of neither Lyle Taylor or Rumarn Burrell but there the similarity ends.

Lyle Taylor had been banging them in for Concord Rangers when he was 19 -20. Can't see anything akin to that in Rumarn Burrell's playing past.

Anyhow, I hope that he has been signed to go straight into the first team and that he bags himself a hat-trick on Saturday. We can't afford another project signing, either literally or figuratively.

    C'mon Rumarn!

Who the f**k are Concord Rangers?

We have had a few fans on here coming out with "in McGlynn we trust" or words to that effect. Well, he needs to start earning that trust now. He presumably knew what our squad was like and and what their contract situations were before he signed up. I am assuming that he also knew what his playing budget was going to be. He now needs to use his experience and contacts to wheel and deal and get shot of the dross and bring in better.

While the league isn't won or lost in July, it could well be lost in August / September.

    Over to you, Mr. McGlynn.

Dear god, are you actually mental?

Three things that are going to define this summer:

    1) Who he brings in

    2) How many of the “currently contracted” players he can get a tune out of and wants to keep.

    3) How many of the “currently contracted” players he can get permanently out the door, and how many he can get loaned out as a minimum.

    Pretty sure that’s 4 things!

In ten hours till we finish another disastrous season in the depths of Scottish football.

Watched some of the RR game last night, thought it was half decent, but frightening & embarrassing that I’d take (RR) starting eleven over anyone we have at the club, maybe barring one or two.

Absolutely critical that the board get the new manager spot on. To the players who have cheated the supporters of this club, if you have any morals, leave the jerseys on you’re way out…….

I hope to f**k they take you with them.

It's now a position of what am I doing on a Saturday that means I don't go to the football, rather than what can't I do because I am going.

The club, team, performances and enjoyment have all tailed away so dramatically that it's at the point that going is a last resort.

After 36yrs of going to see the team and dragging the kids along when they were young, it's now case of being dragged along by them now and that's even starting to fall away as they arrange for other things to do rather than watch this tripe.

Gone are the days of 'it's my club, follow them through thick and thin and the highs and lows'. I can see the club implode and fold at this rate, I really can

If they get rid of him I’ll still go to every single game I can, if they keep him I’ll still go to every single game I can. I can see why there are people that will be pissed off and go and visit the garden centre but that’s not for me. This is honestly not a dig at you personally, but if the people on here do decide to stop going, please boycott this forum too so we can make it good again and not like OneF.

Our fans are no worse than any other clubs FFS. Having seen how the fans backed him when he was here why the feck would he be bothered about getting it tight. He's at partick fighting out for promotion from the champ so theres absolutely feck all chance he'd come back anyway so I've no idea why he'd even be asked having knocked us back a season or so ago already.

In that case what's the point in bringing players in in Jan Feb if the seasons about over by the time they 'settle' in . When you need improvement you need to bring in players that will make a difference now not with 3 or 4 weeks to go especially if it's short term contracts or loan deals. 6 weeks is a long time and we still are seeing zero improvement and i'd wager anyway that we'll be just the same level in another 6 weeks.  Decent managers can make a difference straight away simply by organising and motivating better.

Have you ever read back any of your posts?

  11. Have any of you ever known someone that was accused of rape but you know didn’t actually do it?
    I do!

He pulled a younger girl than he was, took her home and spent the night with her, the alcohol wore off and she got the “aww naws “ and ran out screaming. The house was like an episode of CSI and he got taken away in a white boiler suit. The PF threw it out but what a time he had, life changing.

Now I’m not for a nano second saying DGW didn’t do it as i wasn’t there and I don’t know him, the co accused or the girl but I think you should get all your ducks in a row before he’s burnt at the stake.

Up in the granite city with a few die hard bairns tonight who have spent most of their working life’s up here. Last time I stayed for a game up here, we won and a certain right back had the game of his life as such a young age.

Last time I stayed there for a game was when Lambie left and Collins took the team. That wasn’t yesterday.

Am I alone in feeling that I'm really going to struggle to go back and watch the team?   I've stayed away for the past 3 weeks to see what happens re DGW signing.

Let's face it if we did in fact bid for him, we are every bit as bad as Raith!  Again if, how can I look fans of the biggot brothers in the eye at work and claim to support a "family club"

Remember Mccracken saying on Falkirk tv that we wouldn't be signing him?  How hard would it be for someone from the club to either confirm or deny.

You really are a no righter!  Away and watch the shire ya banger.

I'm not convinced he was anything special at alloa. Different situation trying to stay in a league than trying to win one.

You’re one of these guys that people refer to as a “know all.” How the f**k do you know he wasn’t that special there, do you get free tickets for the Rec too?

  15. 25 minutes ago, Shadwell Dog said:

We couldn't get the right players in under Holt so we sacked him. If we can't get the right players in with the new strategy then we are no better off. We need players. We need to get them by hook or by crook. Managers who get them in succeed those that don't get fired that's modern day football I'm afraid.

Do you really believe that or are you just at it?  Dear God!

We'd be lucky to get a bag of footballs in a swap for Wilson. In fact we would probably have to offer him plus cash to get the deal done.

Do you have any idea how much of a dickhead you sound with comments like that? The lad is back in our squad so give him a break furfucksake.
