Can't see us bringing in another goalie. Hemming was signed as No1 even with Carson here. We carried just Carson and Urminsky last season -

We have also freed the wage of a player who doesn't want to play for us. Could have let him go for nothing with a payoff and Dundee pick him up for free. When there is only one suitor, you can't be too picky about where they end up. -

Fling half the money at Strain to sign a 1 year extension and a gentelmans agreement to leave when a 7 figure fee arrives. -

Reality is, first and foremost we need a left back and a forward is in the pipeline. Before the window closes, if anyone unexpectedly leaves, such as Baccus, Strain or Ohara, then we will no doubt be needing to fill those voids too. I think Gogic's versatility helps cover at the back if used primarily as a midfielder. -

Agree. A player who has stated he 'doesn't want to be there', it is better for squad morale that such player is moved on. He was a huge asset imo before all of this happened, though its time to look forward. A transfer fee give us an opportunity to maybe strengthen our hold on other areas of the park we need looked at. I can't personally see us bringing in another goalie. Hemming was brought in to replace Carson and Urminsky played backup last season and should continue to do so this season. -

For me, Strain is as valuable as it was keeping Lewis Morgan beyond the summer transfer window and fortunately getting him back in on loan for the rest of the season when he moved to Celtic. I don't think he would sign an extension with us, though if there was any glimmer of hope of extending his contract with a wage increase and having a gentlemen's agreement he can be sold for 'X' amount next summer, that would be the perfect scenario. I do however think it's a flip between him going before this window closes or in the next window. -

That wasn't far off what Hibs were offering us a couple of summer transfer windows ago for McGrath and we accepted it only for it to fall through. -

I have a season ticket and I'm usually there in attendance, though Im spending time with the kids before the season starts and still treating it as pre-season. I'd imagine there are many others in the same boat or are on holiday. Football is always a big commitment at the weekends. -

I guess after previous seasons finishes prior to last, it shows anything can happen. It should also keeps focus elsewhere, but I think as fans we know the club want to build on last season and makes us a regular competitor for top six. You don't spend nearly 150k on a player to avoid relegation. -

Taylor is a better player than Dunn imo. -

He also stays in Dundee, so it makes perfect sense for the move in terms of logistics and game time. No complaints about his time with us and wish him all the best. -

There was Motherwell on Saturday. Played two 16 year olds in midfield and won by a couple of goals and a clean sheet. May not have been their strongest starting lineup, though we're able to compete against a lower league club and get the 3 points -

It's a bit concerning if we have used budget without the necessary cover elsewhere on the park. Seems focus is up top though we can't even focus on getting a player in, for a position we are clearly short on. Tanser has never had a good run of fitness and in the games he has played he maybe gets pass marks for only half of them. We need to get that area of the park filled. Also, if strain continues his great form, what solid backup do we currently have in the squad other than Marcus Fraser or flynn? -

Yeah, its been glossed over here as some things really do need to be kept behind closed doors. You don't have a blinder of season like he did, sign an extension a few months beforehand then say you want out,. At least it's been confirmed that he will be leaving one way or another. -

It makes you wonder how accurate this is. With all due respect to the likes of St Johnstone, how did they receive more than us? Was it not only Wotherspoon they had at the WC with Canada and he made 1 sub appearance? -

Doidge had a really good start at Hibs and at the time he was surplus to requirements I was slightly surprised. Since that moment I haven't really seen a return of form that would suggest we would be getting the same player. Though having said that.... look at the transformation in Curtis Main under Robinson after a disappointing spell at Aberdeen and back down south. If we ARE interested, could a change environment and style of plat benefit him? Possibly -

I'd count around 20 senior players there, although Carson may be gone soon. Wouldn't surprise me if we only bring in a couple more. He will rotate the young boys he is talking about too. There may be 7 they identify that will be in and around the squad though not possibly all at once. -

A years loan deal with option to buy may be best option
