  1. Absolutely not a shadow of a doubt QP deserved to win that game last night, truth be told they looked like the only side on the park with something to play for.  Said to my mate at the game when we went 1-0 down, I'd take that with no injuries or suspensions and for a period on the park it looked like both sides agreed! Couple of poor errors leading to the goals, but 2 very good finishes all the same.

I'm not going to dissect the game too much as tbh I don't think we'll take much from it with so many changes, and it was nice to see the coaching staff looking a bit more relaxed during the game and able to actually just sit and watch a game without too much pressure of a result.

Not the best game we'll see, but good minutes in the legs for a few.

I shouldn't be surprised but I couldn't believe some of the comments about it. Anyone who went along not realising it was going to be a combination of bench warmers and starters trying to avoid injury must be living on Mars. As was pointed out countless times McCabe did exactly the same last year, and Murray the same (but more extreme) the year before.

And anyone who thinks we should have been going all out for the win last night with our best team and risk injuries/suspensions for a meaningless game doesn't deserve to have nice things.

    100% this.

I genuinely couldn't even get upset with Paton last night, actually found it quite funny, celebrating safety by running over to the fans of the makeshift squad that will be competing in the premiership playoffs a few days later to give the v's. 🤣.

Wonder if he'll be there supporting 😉😂

    I'll dive in.

20 years past in February there was the last time I spoke to my maw.

She sold the house, fucked off with a new man and lives in Montrose now, so at 17 I was literally just left.

Funnily enough when there was grandchildren involved (2008) there was an attempt made from her to reach out, obviously to play the loving grandmother. I can say for absolute certainty I will never speak to that woman again and I certainly wouldn't bat an eyelid if I got the phonecall telling me she was dead.

Saw this thread unread, thought, oh I'll have a bit of that. Turns out I already did last year.'

I've still no spoke to her btw just incase ye wondered.

This song was written about Nick Drake. They were best buddies and on the same record label. John Martyn (from Glasgow) genius.

Anyone on here lucky enough to have seen him live? If so, lucky, lucky people!

Love his stuff, for me personally "May you never" is first class and would rank near perfect also

Thanks looked at the wrong line, same logic applies...

Still have to pinch ourselves things were looking pretty bleak at Half time at Hampden against QP at New Year....

Me and ma mate I go to the games with always refer to that HT as a "sliding doors moment".  for long spells we were looking like favourites to be slugging it out at the bottom, 45 mins later, the rest they say is history.

  6. Gutted

    Devastated

    end of an era

    etc etc.

Absolutely gutted by this "conscious uncoupling", but like every other fan, I cannot wish him anything but the best.  Particular highlights for me are the Kelty goal, dragging us through against bohemians in the cup, overhead kick against Clyde, the Falkirk winner and for the wee man, CGal coming over and speaking to a few weans who had made the midweek trip up to inverness in the league cup at the beginning of the season.  A genuine modern day club legend, and I'm sure (without checking) his scoring record against East Fife (?) is frightening.

Best of luck Cal and Arbroath for next year, another score I'll need to keep a closer eye on.

  7. Fair do's to EK, regardless of budgets, signings, spendings and the poundland pep, you can only beat who is in front of you, and that they've done for the majority of the season.  Wouldn't mind EK making an appearance in L2, so good luck in the playoffs.

He is an absolutely cracking lad Gordon.

Genuinely down to earth nice fella. Find it hilarious when folk call him a fan of one of the OF. He’s a dyed in the wool Well fan who actually dislikes them both equally.

But aside the above is really Knowledgeable about football and good at his job. Wasted on that show in my opinion.

Coming from an Airdrie fan, I wholeheartedly agree. Imo the best presenter/anchor/host involved in Scottish football atm

When they get scudded in Europe they generally blame the standard of the Scottish League with no hint of self awareness at all.

    Or budgets.

That's always a favourite after a trouncing on the big stage.

    Everyday at work.

@++Ammo - Airdrie++ is the best thing to happen in my game and he really should leave his company and join mine so we could start a YouTube channel then retire off the subs after a decade.

    FFS 😂.

Went back to the start of this thread and had a read through. I actually didn't realise how common a thing this was. I knew it was a thing but I honestly didn't realise how normal a thing this seems to be.  I've been in and around my line of work for about 17 years (with 3 companies) and when I honestly look at how trusting current and previous employers are with me, I constantly can't understand it. I've always said technically wise, I know a shit lot of stuff, but transferring that to my hands doesn't always work 😂

Our line of work is filled with absolute cowboys mate, the fact you're comfortably still there, with absolutely no indication from the higher ups that they are in any way concerned about your performance, should be enough to realise, you're MORE than capable. You'll have some belting stories aswell am sure, but some of the folk in this industry I've worked with would genuinely frighten you in some of the site practices.
