  1. I wonder what will happen first - the £200m redevelopment or the tidal barrage in the Solway...

FWIW - and assuming there's some degree of concrete in today's announcement - then I would like to think that the second of the two new stands planned would be at the Terregles Street end. The Summerville End should be given listed status and preserved for as long as it's viable, IMO.

  2. I agree that the Black Eyed Peas monstrosity can get to puff. For a flavour of the month pop song, playing it repeatedly a whole 5 years after its release is too far.

Ditto The Fratellis' Chelsea Dagger and The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army. Fine songs and all that, but battered to death by over-repetition at nearly every single sporting event.

I don't mind really what's used, so long as it's an original idea and nearly exclusively used by us. Some cheesy listening track would make a fine full-time choon.

  3. Willie Gros is not a good footballer. He's strong and has a very powerful strike, but that's about it. Was a bit too fond of the Killie nightlife and that cost him any chance he had of making it. Was always a big lad, so can only imagine what shape he'll be in after a year out the game.

    No probs there.

No Queens player has ever gotten into bother whilst on a night out in Dumfries... :whistle

  4. Don't jaffa cakes go hard when they go off? Just sayin.

Rookie error. I'm a strictly Tunnock's Wafers man only, so should never have let myself comment on matters clearly outwith my field of knowledge. There's definitely some conjecture on whether or not the Jaffa is indeed a cake or a biscuit, but there's simply no doubt it goes hard - not soft - with age.

My profuse apologies for making a dreadful faux pas. :oops
