Nicki Minaji looks like a trannie.
Doesn't get on my nerves, just an observation.

Managed 6K round Larkhall on saturday morning.
My furthest yet, but what's with this bloody weather.
What happened to our wet, miserable summer, much better for running in.

Back on topic, at the moment, Scotrail ticket examiners and Vigin media customer services.

There's no need to be obtuse. It's a shop, that's all. You've already established that it's YOUR CORNER shop that is run by members of another ethnic group. What if it was run by British-born white people? Would you call it a white person's shop? No.
I call my local shop Javeed's which happens to be on a bend rather than a corner.
The bend shop just doesn't sound right.

Might be the best (closest) one to you Deky.
Cheers mate.
I'll maybe give it a go on Saturday.
See what Friday night brings first but I'll register anyway.

What are these parkrun things?
My 10K is looming fast and I need a wee bit extra motivation.
Doing 2 and a half miles three times a week before work and about 3-4 miles on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
Can't seem to get past that.

Does anyone know about a run in Carnwath at the end of July.
I'm sure i read somewhere it was under threat but locals had tried to organise it, as it's one of the oldest in Scotland.
Think it's about 3 and a alf miles.

sorry I was just being stupid
It's cool, a saw what team you supported and worked that out
They are surprisingly good trainners though.

That's okay sitting in the house.
What will they be like when you go out running in them?
Been using them for a month now and they're fine.

I got a pair of running trainners out of Aldi, comfortable and not one blister.

I managed 2.2 miles this morning in 25 minutes.
Would have been quicker but i had to keep stopping to relight my fag.

Having just spent the last year gradually building up my stamina, I can say well done.
What helped me when I got to the stage where my body was suggesting I walk a while, I would set myself a series of mini-targets - "I want to still be running at that lamp-post" then "I want to still be running at that bus stop" etc. Even if that next target is only 100m away, you'll be amazed at how much distance achieving these mini-targets will add.
Cheers.
I'm trying that, but I'm still a bit of a quitter.
Getting there though.

I've just started running after signing up for the 10K in September.
Not really at the stage of timing runs yet, still trying to finish without being sick.
Managed 2 and a half miles without stopping on Sunday, so getting better.
Made it round Strathclyde park in 40 minutes, walking and running.
Will be trying to go right round without stopping this weekend sometime.

Where does the Habs come form in Montreal Canadiens, is it French?

So the Flames didn't make the playoffs, the curse of my support strikes again.
Who can I jinx in the playoffs?
Sabres perhaps as I like Buffalo chicken wings.

Detroit, Hockeytown is where it will happen, we're comin back for our Stanley Cup
That shirt alone's enough reason to hate Detroit, bloddy Accies

I might pop along to a game or two.
Braehead's a cracking wee arena.

They can't be that shit surely
I was meaning the actual towns are twinned, shithole to shithole.
I know, people in glass houses and all that

I'm an Airdrie fan. Used to supporting teams that aren't exactly liked.
Is there a reason why everyone hates them in particular?
Aye, Philly's twined with Airdrie

I ended up supporting the Flames because I've been to Calgary (Banff) twice.
And a reason for you to support them is that I'm a Motherwell fan and so are you...
It's a better eason than Bluetooners
Flames it is, until I decide otherwise.
I've never been to America or Canada and don't really have any family links either, so I'm simply blindly picking a team.Im in the exact same position Deky
Watched a lot of hockey since we moved here in May but still haven't found "my" team
Loved watching the Olympics but probably more the world juniors in January
Uncle was from IL and always had me supporting the Bulls, Bears, Cubs & Blackhawks but not seen much of them this year.
Have Avalanche, Ducks & Leafs jerseys from previous holidays but dont really have an affinity with either teams
Mrs Simplyton has opted for the Penguins because Sidney is a "lovely boy" but im still undecided.
At the moment im leaning towards Chicago but hoping to see a bit more of them on the box.
I sort of follow the Redskins in NFL due to blatant Claret and Amber rip off and the Twins in MLB, sadly for no better reason than I'm a Gemini Sad but true.
Not much of a Basketball fan so not bothered bout NBA.
