  1. It gets worse, Gary Bollan has gone from not listed to 4th favourite after someone posted saying it was strange he wasn't included in the betting...
  2. With 2 games in hand on the teams below. They are 4 points off the promotion play offs with a game in hand. I'd also say just not being the relegation zone should be viewed as a success at Albion Rovers.
  3. You may well be correct but I think it's more likely you are just being overly precious. I think the main point of the post was to further highlight Locke's failings and show that even our 'impressive start' wasn't actually that impressive rather than any sort of sly dig at Dunfermline.
  4. What an utterly bizarre thing to get bent out of shape about. As has already been pointed out, the line up we faced at the start of the season is very different to the starting line up Dunfermline have had since they've started performing better. Whether they're new signings or not is irrelevant. The point being made was we beat Dunfermline when they were far weaker than they are now. Really not seeing why you've taken such issue with that.
  5. Can see it now. A day of refreshing the twitter page at increasingly less hopeful 30 minute intervals to no news before a pumping off Morton in the freezing cold with under 1000 hardy souls watching Skacel/Stevenson upfront... Prove me wrong please.
  6. Good question. I thought he'd applied but I can't remember where I read that so may be rubbish!
  7. I get what you're saying but he wouldn't have applied for the job last time if that was an issue surely?
  8. Would be kind of in keeping with the shambles of the last 6 months or so though wouldn't it?
  9. If you're being generous you could add Osei, Coustrain and Thorsen. If you're not then I'm sure Lennox trained with Killie and he also tried to sign M'Voto at Killie, so it would just be McManus really. John McGlynn had an unimaginative signing policy at times but we got all the benefits you'd expect from that with players he knew would fit in our system and do a job for us. Locke seems to have brought in players he's had before but worryingly has no idea how to get the best out of them
  10. Yeah, that's definitely a fair point. Not sure if Vaughan himself would have been happy to drop a level though.
  11. I actually don't blame the board regarding Vaughan. Whilst it was clearly a stupid decision, and I hope most of the board agree, if they aren't going to sack the manager they have to back him. They shouldn't be interfering with who the manager keeps and gets rid of if they think he's the right man for the job.
  12. I'm not sure how much of a difference falling attendances will make this season. I'd imagine a large percentage of our home support are season ticket holders so the loss of income from attendances probably won't outweigh the cost of sacking him. Will definitely hit them in the summer though when season ticket sales plummet and by that point you've probably added a few more fans to the stay away list who find other things to do on a Saturday. He has to go for me, no hope in him turning things around. New manager would still be left with Locke's bloated squad until the summer but there is still enough quality in the team to be doing much, much better.
  13. Am i right in saying we've already lost as many home league games this year as we did in the whole of 2016?
  14. After all the doom and gloom the last few weeks that is actually very good news. Bene has been excellent this season, bar a couple of recent blips. M'Voto next please.
  15. Except for the 10 million pounds worth of loans/debts, obviously.
  16. Whilst I agree his form had dipped, when was the last time he started a game? This would be understandable if his replacements were on fire but we're scoring and creating very little. He was definitely due another shot in the first team ahead of McManus and old man Skacel.
  17. Wonder who we're sending to Livi for Dale Carrick? He's all we're missing for a full house on Gary Locke bingo.
  18. Whilst I don't disagree Mark Stewart is our best striker currently, that says more about how poor our other strikers have been rather than how good he is. If he is still viewed as our best striker at the end of the season, I think it's a safe bet we won't have made the play offs.
  19. I agree with your main point that Osei must be pushing to get more involved in the first team with his goals. Vaughan has been poor since he came back from injury but he was out for a year, he was never going to come back as the same player quickly. Also pretty sure he scored a couple of goals in his outing for the development team the other week so the same as Osei. It's not too long ago he was being hailed as a messiah, the truth of his ability is bang in the middle between that opinion and the one he has suddenly turned to shite. We need to be patient with him coming back and hopefully his form will pick up. An injury and surgery at that important stage of his career has a lot more of an impact that people think. He needs to show more in his sub appearances than he did against Hibs if he's to get himself back in the team though.
  20. I would say so. He always said it would take 5 years from when it was first put in place for us to start reaping the rewards and getting a steady stream of talent from it.
  21. Bryce's lack of footballing ability cost him a lot more than his attitude.
