  1. Is he not more pointing out how the line tends to stop when it comes to the Royals? Perhaps I'm being rather charitable.
  2. Iirc in the 2-3 at the start of last season, in the second half did we not nullify Thomas etc by pressing really high and playing most of the half in QPs half? I might be completely misremembering as it was a year ago but we allowed Thomas the freedom of the pitch in the first half and he shredded us. If we're that bad in the fullback areas and they have known wide threats I don't know why we can't revert to that. I've a feeling though that was pre-Mullin and Chalmers and so you could sort of sacrifice Ashford and McKenzie to do all the pressing.
  3. The "women" you mean; unsure initially if they are actually women but then a few words later are subjectively normal.
  4. You can still go to the pubs and not to the game, and sit on pie and bovril flagging how much you're not going to the game.
  5. Same, I watched him sometimes for his articulate anti-Tory content. Edit: I'm sure he also saved a housing community in London from having their homes demolished and sold off to property developers not that long ago. Feel quite sick thinking it could all have been character polishing for when the inevitable came around.
  6. I'm not absolving Mathie of anything, but you (we) simply do not know if the stadium manager has full autonomy on these things. You can hypothesise about hierarchy and responsibilities all you want, unless you know precisely who has sign-off on what then you're yelling into the abyss until it emerges exactly what has happened. I didn't know about the 3rd party thing but again I have no idea if the police would advise on that or not, given the propensity for pyro in our recent past.
  7. No team has ever recovered from a poor start, football is famous for that.
  8. That's what I'm getting at but we don't know (well I don't anyway).
  9. You're stretching here. It's an outrageous (at best) thing to have happened last night and there should be repercussions undoubtedly, but we don't know if GM had anything to do with it. I have no idea the autonomy the stadium manager has for example, so you? Or if the police have put pressure on him to allow it (whether inside the ground or out is another thing as well).
  10. Dempsey could barely last an hour when he first arrived so I'm certainly not writing off the two new lads when they're hardly in the door 10 minutes.
  11. Hard to see how Bullen survives not beating QP next week, irrespective of any mitigating circumstances around the team needing patched up. You can still send a team out and try and be hard to beat first if you're looking for something to build on following a poor start.
  12. That and the evaporation of any sort of heart. I thought at half time it had the feel of a game where we'd stay on top but get picked off by a Thistle 2nd.
  13. Aye there's no doubt there. Very concerning how much we folded once the second went in.
  14. It's okay, you can say we're playing well. Your world isn't going to implode. I do agree that it's not clear how we're scoring, for all the good build up play.
  15. Why is it though that other sporting environments and dare I say entertainment venues don't suffer from the same level of perma-raging abusive stress bags that football grounds do? Perhaps, and stay with me here...there are people who don't go to games anymore, don't bring their kids, or women largely don't bother, not because of the price, or because of the quality of football, but because they simply cannot be fucked with the above?
  16. On the first bit, we don't actually know this yet, do we? We're 4 games into a league season. There is undoubtedly a bit of catching up to do, I don't deny that, given the injuries. And I'd definitely have preferred to have got better at fullback. But what were you really expecting? Him to tear into the players that are barely through the door? What sort of message does that send? It's counter productive at best, fucking stupid at worst. You have a point on the second bit but I'm hoping over time with McGeady and Murphy both at the club, two ex-international and top level footballers, they can help attract players further down the line.
  17. Neither clubs path to the top flight was linear so maybe go and have a wee look for yourself before you give yourself a heart attack.
  18. Why not? And who exactly would you have preferred given the window of acceptable signings is getting hilariously narrow on this thread?
  19. Despite what I said previously, I hope that snake and all round greaseball Declan Rice brings an empty suitcase (like he did to the WC) to Glasgow so he can be sent back down the road in it to hide his beamer of a red neck after being embarrassed by the current best midfield in world football.
  20. This is precisely where I am and yes it's dirty. Is this what happens when you're big time? (I know fine well come Tuesday afternoon I'll be feeling differently).
  21. He's not even remotely in the same category as those two ass hats. Ferguson for one was born and raised in Ireland. Wasn't even a football player until he gave up the Gaelic (football).
  22. Perhaps the biggest flag for me from the last two games is the chat about McGinty and the bench; subbed off on Saturday and apparently scunnered last night? Whatever you think about McGinty the footballer, I don't think anyone can really question his providing stability as captain as we transitioned out of the Hopkin/Duffy era. He's a good guy and pro and seems (seemed?) to have a strong relationship with Bullen. One to keep an eye on mibee, fck knows.
  23. I've no idea at this point. I know about the WWE backstage appearance but I haven't joined the dots if Regal was still in AEW at that time, and therefore, not around. Punk allegedly made amends with the Miz that night and chatted briefly to Trips so fck knows.
