East Fife won the Scottish Third Division in Season 2007-08 on March 15th, with I think 7 games still to go, This gave us a points total of 74, 26 points ahead of second place Stranraer!!!
Seem to recall that we had a couple of games postponed earlier in the winter and if he had played them we would obviously have won it sooner - but then again I may have just dreamt that bit up!!!
eta
Think I did dream that up, I’m confusing it with when we won the League in 2015-16!!!

Wonder when Hamilton decided to stay at Arbroath and when it was announced as Dick did say during his speech at the Live Lounge that he was hopeful of announcing a signing this week, just wondering if it was Hamilton that he was hoping for!!!

Just to be fair to Calum Hambrook, the above are quotes from Linlithgow Rose fans when asked how’s he’s getting on!!!
Also assumed he had been injured but didn’t know about the illness and hospitalisation part, I think Saturday past was his first game back and he played well!!!

So you’ve ruined him then that’s what you’re saying???
Well you’ll probably get to keep him now!!!

Calum Hambrook???
What have you done to him???
It looks like he hasn't played since around March, is he injured or just been shite???

As far as I can see Hambrook has been involved in 7 games for Linlithgow since November and I doesn’t look like he’s been in their match day squad since March!!!

Think that Calum Hambrook is the 4th player signed up.
You are correct, but I think that the issue of whether or not the Campbell’s see him as part of their future plans is still valid!!!
He’s been at Linlithgow Rose since November and I have no idea how he is getting on there!!!

Now that the seasons done and dusted for us really, who we keeping for next year? I think (and probably hope) that we'll see a decent turn over in the squad. As far as I'm aware, Fash, Docherty and Healy are the only ones still on the books - not sure if anyone knows otherwise?
Otherwise, I'd probably keep Fleming for another season unless Dick has an improvement lined up - he's not perfect but not easy to find a decent keeper. Newton, Walls, McManus as well - Trouten has perhaps played his way into another year after a disappointing start to the season and I think Shepherd will depend on who the Campbells can bring in. Otherwise I wouldn't be overly inclined to keep the rest.
We have FOUR players contracted for next season, Calum Hambrook is also signed up, but whether or not the current coaching staff see him as part of their plans is another thing entirely!!!

Agree with keeping Walls, Newton and McManus, I have a feeling that the Campbell’s are also quite keen on Kieran Millar as well and personally I would be fine with him staying!!!
Dick has continually said since he arrived that he wants to bring “better players” in, so personally I can see quite a turnover in the current squad, starting in a couple of weeks and again I would be fine with that also!!!

Sure Dick mentioned last week at his inaugural Live Lounge speech that he is looking at bringing Rab Douglas in as Goalkeeping Coach!!!

It is nice but it is a pain in the arse to get to!!!

Also does anybody know why that coach came up to their keeper and told him to start punting the ball out the ground, they were 4-1 up, I think the game was won???

Nope, after waiting to see how we coped with the wind advantage in the second half, I think I can honestly say that we were just pish!!!
I thought that Bonnyrigg played the conditions just right in the first half and we’re deservedly ahead, we were outfought in every area of the pitch throughout the game, Blaney and Easton, who have both been outstanding during the unbeaten run were both unbelievably poor, Blaney’s two brainfarts in the first half out at the far corner flag were indicative of his general play and Easton was just not his usual commanding self and his continual long punts into the wind even brought the early arrival of Dick to the dug out, whenever we went wide with either Healy or Lyon we looked dangerous but it was rare that that avanue was used. Shepherd was his usual lively self but his and Trouten’s link up play was non existent.
It was a very bad day at the office and surely further evidence that that the Manager of the Month award is curse that just keeps giving!!!
it’s not over until it’s mathematically over but I think that result probably has ended our season!!!

Is this due to the wind, the manager of the month curse. Or both?
Bit of both, this wind is making a farce of our play but Bonnyrigg have had it to their advantage and are a team built for playing in conditions like this, we have it in the second half so we’ll see what we can do with it!!!

East Fife 1-0 Bonnyrigg Rose
Alan Trouten (8mins)

Docherty for Murdoch, but otherwise the same lineup as the last few weeks!!!

Dumbarton 1-2 Clyde
East Fife 3-1 Bonyrigg Rose
Peterhead 2-0 Forfar Athletic
Stenhousemuir 2-0 Elgin City
Spartans 1-1 Stranraer

Would expect the same lineup as the last few weeks, I don’t think there were any injuries last week and unless there is a surprise appearance from Fash we’ll go the same way as then!!!
I would class this as a “must win” for both sides, them to stay in the division and us to keep our chances of getting out of it alive!!!
eta
forgot Murdoch came off at half time last week!!!

Good news, I would hope that Walls and Newton follow soon!!!

It’s been a long time since we had a Manager winning one of these, is the Curse still a thing???
Could do without that kicking in now we’re in the final run-in!!!
