  1. Another good comeback win. Big performances from Seiuli, Wilson, Thompson and McLean.
It'll be strange if Glasgow get to the playoffs as we haven't seen a full strength team since last January.
There's no playoffs this season, it's straight to the final. Whoever finishes third is in the Champions Cup next season, that's why tonight was so important.
  2. On Skinner and SHC Toonie claiming that some players not selected as being based in England if they are not in the Match day 23 they would have to return to their clubs, so not ideal with the Covid bubbles etc however he has picked the likes of Dell, McGuigan, Craig who wont likely be in the 23.
Maybe he thinks Exeter are a bit un-clean?
Johnson and Hutchinson was lack of game time
Cheers. In typical terrace gossip style, I had hoped it was a “falling out”, but recent history actually makes that quite a plausible explanation.
    Didn't he actually specify Exeter?
  3. Mate of mine been laid off from Rolls Royce. Unsure if he could have been furloughed as he's technically a contractor supplied by an agency. Anyone else in a similar position?
He can't be furloughed by RR but the agency could put him on furlough if he's PAYE. If he's self-employed then he's on his own.

One of my colleagues went to the Scotland-Italy rugby game in Rome and has been told by our Occupational Health to self-isolate for two weeks.

Seems like an overreaction. Have there been any confirmed cases in Rome yet?

One of mine was in Venice and was sent home to self-isolate for two weeks (does he have to stay in a separate room from his missus?) and I thought that was an over-reaction. Rome is just ridiculous.

I found the SPOTY thing tough viewing too. His speech is so slurred, and he holds his hands conspicuously. There’s no way I could sit through the BBC documentary. This next year is going to be absolutely horrendous, even from a distance. His kids must be going through hell.

Having watched the documentary I was expecting those but his inability to hold the trophy himself was the killer for me. Horrible, horrible illness.

Warriors made it through into the quarter finals last season with 19 points. They need to win at least 2 more games and probably need to pick up a couple of bonus points too. Can only hope that for starters La Rochelle think they have no chance and send a reserve team next week.

The problem is that they'll do the same for all their remaining games, no real help to us.

You still can't prove he was speeding though as this can't be proven from the naked eye. As mentioned, unless your camera is calibrated and can prove what speed the other guy is doing then you wouldn't be able to rely on this as an argument.

Guess I'll be getting the chap at the door any time now, then...

    Alternatively, 1) the wee jobby may have considered my advice and not bothered taking the 'video' to the polis after all. For whatever reason;

or even 2) the wee jobby took it to the polis and they chased him.

Actually, in most (if not all) cases, they don't. No calibration you see.

The challenge was 'prove he was speeding', not 'prove he could be prosecuted for speeding' though. To a reasonable man it would be apparent from the 'video' what was happening.

  11. 19 hours ago, Ron Aldo said:

    a) Prove he was speeding. b) It isn't illegal to undertake and you still have a duty to check its clear if you're crossing a lane.

Glad you agree you're the bad driver in this case though.

    a) I don't need to, his 'video'  does that for me;

    b) it isn't per se but it's very often classed as dangerous driving and, again, his 'video' would demonstrate that.

Still waiting for the knock at my door two months later.

If he's already established in the lane that you were changing into then I'm afraid that makes you the bad driver in this case.

Despite the facts that a) he was speeding and b) he was attempting to undertake? If you think either or both of those are acceptable then, yes, I'm the bad driver. In your view, anyway.

  13. Younger driver v useless old codger story.

A couple of months ago I was in the outside lane coming up to lights at red when they changed so I carried on. After passing the last of the traffic in the inside lane, doing 30mph, I indicated left and moved over. At this point a younger driver fires his horn and flashes his lights at me, then follows me 2 miles down the road, does a U-turn at a pedestrian crossing when I pull in to go the shop, stops opposite me on the other side of the road in the outside lane and starts telling me he's reporting me to the Polis and has the video. Good luck explaining to them why you were trying to undertake me at excessive speed, then, I says, and walks away.

Still waiting for the knock on the door.

This was news to me, but Picard will be on Amazon Prime.

News to me, too, but good news - Virgin have just made Amazon Prime available on their box, no more Firestick faffing about to watch the likes of this.

The Great Hack. Documentary about Cambridge Analytica and its influence over the 2016 US Election and Brexit, among other things. Mandatory viewing and genuinely fucking terrifying stuff.

If anyone has been following Politics and News over the last couple of years avoid The Great Hack.

Been looking forward to this for weeks but a complete and utter waste of time.

Such a wasted opportunity. Left thinking “I know all this” and “So what”.

Can’t see the point of it. A Channel 4 Doc would have been more explosive than this. Don’t believe the hype.

    Anyone else?

It's in the same boat as old c***s who ( I think) were taught to stop at a roundabout, then look to see if they can go.  Instead of doing the normal thing and looking on approach and then going if it's clear.  The amount of times I've nearly rammed someones arse because of this must be in the 100s over the years.

Fucking go you stupid old fud!

That's not an old c**t thing, I qualify as an old c**t and I was never taught that.   It's just a c**t thing, old or young.
