  1. I think you'd struggle to find a Pars fan who disagrees with you. If a new Dunfermline-based football club re-appears then it should have a good shout of getting into the current league setup based on what we could bring in terms of support. No favours asked for or expected. A pyramid would be the fairest though - working up past the likes of Rosyth and Kelty would be the only truly fair way to go. I know you must be gagging to find the moral high ground but if the Pars go tits up you'll struggle to find a Par who doesn't want a 'phoenix' to earn its place in the league rather than have it granted on some vaguely associated past glory. We're not Sevco mk2.
  2. Even better would be to feed the Toblerone to the rest of his brood afterwards.
  3. If Masterton is visiting Dignitas I hope they forego the usual painless treatment and finish him off with a giant Toblerone to the rectum.
  4. Announcement now due at 11.30 from the Masterton & TPC camps. Probably to say there is no announcement and there will be more meetings and announcements due next week.
  5. I know it's a grim topic but if the Pars did vanish I'd encourage you boys to just get behind any new club - at least give it a go. Think of it like an old dog. If it dies, getting a puppy is the best way to just move on.
  6. I don't even think you need an allegedly in there. Remember, Purvis was going to join the board too Stephen Taylor is his accountant and when he saw the books Purvis had to step away. They helped out at the club but have kept well away from joining up as directors.
  7. I can't link to it just now but the herald has an article on it. I think you're also making the assumption that Masteton wants the club saved. East End is under the wing of East End Park Ltd (his company) - it doesn't belong to DAFC. Killing off the club would allow him to build more flats and recoup the kind of money he's never going to get from any buyout.
  8. The accountant on the steering group - the one guy who knows the books probably even better than Masterton - says there is zero prospect of administration. We either sort it out or it's immediate liquidation.
  9. More news from cloud cuckoo land... In The Sun - John Yorkston.... Chairman John Yorkston said: “We were informed by our solicitors of HMRC’s intentions in the afternoon. “We are in negotiations with several parties with a view to raising the money required to see us through this threat from HMRC.” No John, negotiations are get get bawbags like you and Masterton away tae f**k and save the club. I can't believe he's talking about it like everything is rosy and they just need to decide who will be the lucky party to put in enough cash to see us through to the next fiasco. In the same paper you have the real reality check - Andy Geggan living with his mum and still skint... http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/leaguedivision1/4840445/Going-full-time-with-Pars-was-a-dream-come-true-now-its-turned-into-a-NIGHTMARE.html I think it would take a miracle to leave us with any sort of club. Fortunately Leish does a nice line in miracles and great escapes so there's still hope but it really is grim grim grim.
  10. Gav, Gav, I hope you get buggered by a giant Toblerone.

  13. Blueberry and chipolata. The last thing the steering group want is liquidation - they wouldn't be having these talks otherwise. There's no prospect of administration - these guys either save the club or it's the end and there will be no club left to punish.
  14. His dog isn't fussy - he just smears it on and beckons Fido to lick it off his balls.
  15. Sadly (or not!) I think talk of us reappearing could be a bit presumptious. Rangers did little more than a bit of jiggery pokery to shrug off the potential tax bill whereas we could soon have no club, no ground etc. They've maybe given everyone a false impression of liquidation being some easy fix.
  16. A wee trip to Exit would certainly help loosen his grip on the club.
  17. I didn't see it mentioned on here but our VAT payments are unusually large as a VAT investigation last year had uncovered a sizeable underpayment. I can't honestly say I fell off my chair, choked with surprise or even raised an eyebrow at this.
  18. I think the steering group are well aware of what is owed but they are taking the stand that they want Masterton to 'blink' first. They have no intention of simply bailing out the club in its current form. The accountant on the steering group was the guy who stepped in when our former chief exec walked so he knows the books as well as anyone.
  19. Don't try and make sense of anything released by the DAFC ministy of information - it will only rot your brain.
  20. I see they'll have collection buckets for DAFC. Seems to go against Leish's wish not to see fans ploughing dosh in to the club (when talking about the share issue) only for the whole lot to vanish in the next week or so. If it puts food on the table of the staff & players then great but there's such mistrust that it throwing money DAFC's way leaves me a wee bit queasy.
  21. Not if we've not paid HMRC £134,000 by next Tuesday. Every cloud has a silver lining etc.
  22. Is it that OTT to suggest our top earners could be on (60% of) that kind of money? JJ says £500pw is the average in the squad. Back in November, the total wage bill for the club was quoted at £95k per month. Maybe someone with a better calculator than me could do the maths as there appears to be belter of a 'wage' somewhere in there for someone.
