Maybe not the right thread now but up until a month or so ago I'd have said all hip hop/rap. I'd have said I cannot get past the misogyny and glorification of violence and such.
And lo, since Xmas, I've been listening to NWA and see it in a whole different light; the music and sampling, the conviction in the delivery lamenting the social zeitgeist...just a shame a lot of the content is horrific. I'm now listening to early Nas and can't believe I've found this music at my age as I'd basically conceded I was never going to find anything else that absorbs me and takes me somewhere else.
This was on Sky Atlantic but maybe now on Netflix. Has lots of good stuff on how NWA came about.
Bought Straight Outta Compton on vinyl when it came out ( I was about 10 or 11) and still remember the goosebumps within the first 15 seconds
Back on track.. ska, two tone, British punk. Never really done it for me.

Good news about MWH being available and they’ll assess Chris Hamilton on Saturday morning.

Hopefully the ref will chop off two out of every three goals Thistle score.

First time we had a minute’s applause was in the 4th minute of a game against Airdrie many years back. It was to remember Norrie McCathie. They duly scored (in front of the Norrie McCathie stand) and their players rightly enjoyed their goal as Pars fans sheepishly looked around for the protocol.
What @DumbartonBuddescribes sounds ideal.

Banksy, Alloy and Jihad were registered as Scottish baby names last year.
I can't help but think Jihad Palestine McNeill Francis Walfrid O'Malley would be a very Green Brigade name.
One kid was called Oakley. Obviously the parents have never been to Oakley. Unless said child was conceived in the bus shelter next to Oakley Juniors.
Oakley waged a permanent jihad on The Toon when I was a lad.

Clarke a bit one dimensional. Wardley gets the knockdown by just going for it.

How fuckin hard is it to say “Frazer”?
Good mix of styles anyway.

Dillian Whyte doing a good job waving the Ipswich Town flag.
Clarke looking in better shape than of late.

Not watched the highlights, listened to commentary or read anything about it but it was definitely a penalty. Well done ref.

The Stable. BBC/iplayer
4 part documentary following boxing trainer Shane McGuigan’s gym.
Brilliant.
A few subjects that could have been glossed over are tackled honestly. The talking heads are used sparingly and generally add good context.

The Hampden free kick has to be the favourite to win but I loved KRH’s. He’s so composed.

Bit weird to promote the women’s game and defend it against that JB w**k but then have a guest with a fairly recent criminal record for terrorising and stalking an ex partner.

I've never seen that.
Might watch later.
Love it for spotting all the faces. Yer man from Casualty. Brick Top from Snatch. Piers Brosnan. Cracking theme tune too. Very menacing.

Exactly. We have to take it that the complaint is Stuart suggesting that we have to consider the possibility Gough wasn’t 100% a hater of black people has offended some Rangers fan. Whatever their intentions were, that’s what the BBC have endorsed.

Rangers fans taking offence to a joke that Gough “may not be against apartheid”. Gough was an advocate of forging closer sporting links with the apartheid regime of the time.

Anyone know this tune? I'd Shazam it if it wasn't on the same device.
Have emailed the lads to ask.
