  1. It's OK, Westhill folk will be walking to games, the rest of us can negotiate it fine.
  2. That I'm afraid is complete and utter bollocks. it was reduced (once again) by the mad nutter of Sheddocksley - Steve Delaney - a lycra warrior who would have us all on bikes given a chance. I wrote to every single city councillor on 20th Feb 2015 about the change. Delenay replied: Steve Delaney <SDelaney@aberdeencity.gov.uk> To: fatshaft@yahoo.com 20 Feb 2015 at 21:07 Good Evening, The Road Traffic Order giving effect to this speed reduction was agreed unanimously by the Communities, Housing & Infrastructure Committee on 4th September 2014. It’s fair to say I’ve been campaigning for a reduction to 40mph from the Sheddocksley roundabout to what was the Westhill roundabout for the past three years. This was supported by the vast majority of my constituents from a road safety point of view. The most recent proposal (which only affects the section from the Kingswells roundabout to Westhill) went through due process, having been out to public consultation twice and back to committee twice. I fully accept you take a different view on the speed reduction on this route and respect your opinion, whilst disagreeing with it. The Road Traffic Order has already been passed and is now in force. Regards Steve Delaney -------------------------------------------------------- Councillor Steve Delaney Ward 3, Kingswells/Sheddocksley/Summerhill Town House Aberdeen AB10 1FY 01224 694469 Home 01224 346614 Office www.delaney.org.uk www.facebook.com/CllrDelaney @Cllr Delaney
  3. in multiple directions. Of course there will be delays leaving, the delays getting away from Pittodrie are brutal, but then we've all got to get across or along King Street. As you know, Westhill won;t be like that
  4. king Street - 30mph A944 - 40mph (but as we know, there will be total gridlock during football games as NKS have said so)
  5. Correct. I can't get my head round anyone saying pittodrie is in a great location, it's always been horrific to get away from, and finding parking anywhere near can be a nightmare as well.
  6. I'll lay that bet, from my admittedly limited experience, its the opposite. Those happy with the mediocity & inadequacy of Pittodrie, are equally..........you know the rest
  7. Good stuff, can you clarify why this is in the stadium thread? There will be total and utter gridlock once the Wiggy Dome is complete, people won't even be able to get to the cinema, so the "dangerous roundabout" will be moot.
  8. f**k all a-dea with the roundabout. It's an oblongabout, the line of sight coming off the AWPR and looking east to see if you can exit is more than enough, just shite driving is the issue. Folk fae Westhill, fit div ye expect, they don;t even know what the inside lane is for.
  9. Doesn't matter how often this is repeated, there's a band of fans who don't grasp travel at all
  10. Nae doobt the name tag sown onto it was a giveaway, did you also have your mittens on string through your sleeves?
  11. Westhill Inn; Broadstraik; Shepherds Rest; 4 Mile & Key West edit: plus Village Hotel
  12. As a teenager of the 80s, I can only concur with your assessment there
  13. What's the issue there? Champions league is a heap o pish, never watch it.
  14. You keep posting without reading what's been said before, nor seemingly having a clue about our fan demographics. Half the fans come from outside the city *now*, with the ease of access, this is likely to leap considerably. Yes, some from the east end of the city won't be able to walk to kingsford, others will be that can't now. There's also currently 5 pubs in walking distance plus the stadium bar, and if the golf club and red star don't run shuttle buses too then they're bonkers. So no not "zero pubs nearby" You clearly have no idea about the location, please stop commenting,
  15. Following the outcome of the judicial review, AFC Chairman Stewart Milne commented, “The outcome of the judicial review is welcome news for the club, the Council and the wider region. We can now confidently complete phase one, the community sports hub and training facilities, and start moving towards delivery of phase two, AFC’s new stadium."
  16. Oh wise up you utter twat. Nobody with a functioning brain believes that. He's been at the helm for 25 years. Pittodrie is in Linksfield, not Bieldside. He'd be fucking aff his nut to chase such a cheap land bank for so long, having to put in so much effort. Of course the final nail in your stupidity is that he can;t even bid on the Pittodrie land. What a gype
