Defence is where i give Saints the advantage, they defend well as a team, they are a well drilled unit who can play as you say on their day, we have managed 1 cleansheet in all competitions since December, despite us scoring a lot more goals we have failed to score in a susbstantial amount of games too, where as you have over double our cleansheets

Saints w15 d7 l14 gf45 ga37 pts 52

I pray that the United players and staff are treating Saints with the same level of respect as your good self Sir!
In your dreams , think most Utd fans if being honest see Saints as favs due to the recent head to heads, would be silly to ignore, we havent even scored in the last three meetings and even our 4-0 win flattered us bigtime that day, plus Banks was in goal for you lot and gifted the 3rd to us
Saints simply have our style sussed out, even if we play well that wont change, anywaywith it being the Final, teams rarely play their best stuff anyway
I actually think the most important thing from a Utd point of view is we match Saints for energy, workrate and most importantly desire on the day, those things are probably what will decide the outcome

The 2600 tickets United are getting this afternoon are concession tickets in the South East corner. Some are priced at £25 because of the restricted view.
We will then receive more tickets on Tuesday - no idea where.
Could the SFA make this harder work if they tried?!
Total incompetence from the start by the SFA
Why would they want to see any empty seats across from the Camera (even Upper tier), the Main Stand could have been left empty unless the rest of the stadium was sold out and it was needed
Also on Saints allocation, they should have sold Jock Stein and North Lower only, once those were filled then move onto JS Upper, thay way you were guaranteed the 3 bottom tiers that will be visible on tv packed out 50/50

It must help the ticket sales when both teams think they have a genuine chance of winning combined with it being bigot brothers free.
Whats the story with freebee tickets for the SFA and sponsors? I read it's 10000 but that seems excessive. Those will add a few more to the attendance total too.
Must be the closest to 50/50 Cup Final on paper i can remember

Only once we sell out the Main Stand.
and our half of North Upper

Over 24k tickets sold
I'm pretty sure Tangerine sections are just showing our allocation and not that we have sold out those sections already (i'm assuming North Upper and Main Stand are still available), the areas coloured Tangerine must hold closer to 30k if not more

Wish Utd would give us a daily update on ticket sales like the Saints, can't be that difficult
Cheers United

Over 24000, good effort, still a chance for us to top the 28500 at Hampden in 2010

Hence why they should not have sold Jock Stein Upper before their half of North Lower

Empty seats in the North Stand.
I wonder if this is because everyone wanted the cheaper concession seats behind the goals?
It wouldn't surprise me to see this replicated as St Johnstone have been selling predominantly the stand behind the goal too.
Edit: I can't believe the SFA actually gave Dundee that many seats. We got diddled against the *** for tickets in 94.
The first 2 sections on the pic are actually buns in the dee end aswell, hence the line of stewards
Aleast in 1994 there was the reason of Hampdens limited 38k capacity, still a joke we only got 13k
As for our final, they should have let both us and saints sell lower tiers only first, so behind the goal and north lower would be filled by now (surely whats best for tv purposes), then move onto upper tiers, use main stand only if needed

Surely Utd will get as many concession tickets as they want in the upper north now? Would be utterly bizarre if they made them £35 as well.
Given it's the SFA then it's likely it will be £35 for all
Hearing we have sold out our half of the North Lower and are now selling Main stand, another idiotic decision from the SFA, making us sell Main stand tickets before North Upper

£35, those two teams aren't worth £35. Going with a 2-0 Saints win, do they get to keep United this time ?
Remind us all of the funs recent record against Saints, and just how many years/visits is it since you beat them in Perth now?
Oh and 74-45

People were queueing at Tanny at 6am, pretty dumb when there will be thousands of unsold tickets on the day. Two small provincial clubs will be lucky to fill two thirds of park head.
Dundee half of the North stand from their first final in 40 years in the cheats v cheats final of 2003, the self proclaimed sleeping giant managed to take a whopping 18/19k to a once in a lifetime game

Despite what the idiotic pundits and media have been saying, no doubt the Saintees are the favs for this, based on recent head to heads alone
Won the last 3 meetings without conceding, scoring 6 with 5 for Stevie May, and possibilty of finishing above us, probably will if our players show the same effort in the remaining games, big mistake if they do then expect to switch it on for the Final
Also sounds like we are getting an opportunity to sell the north stand. Dont know why they just didnt give us behind the goal and North stand (bottom tiers only) and Saints behind other goal (bottom tier) and main stand and then open the top if needed.
SFA never do anything the easy way.
Never any common sense with that lot, like you say, should have been North stand and behind the goal lower tiers only till filled, then onto upper tiers and only if those looked like filling aswell (unlikely as those three stands hold 53000 combined) then onto the main stand behind the camera

Saw this on Utd mad and am seething at the moment IF it's true
As I understand it...
Both teams getting behind goals with United in area Cally Fans were for LC Final...tickets in here are for Family Section at 28 and 10 quid.
We are also allocated the old main stand...not sure if we get the lot or if it is to be segregated...the ane yi see Rod Stewart Greetin in on Champs League Nights...tickets in here for all age groups are 35 quid...ie no concessions.
If we sell that we then move onto North Stand (old jungle) again at 35 quid with no concessions.
Fed have wrote to Club and issued press release stating our thoughts on the prices...especially the lack of concession tickets available.Assuming it's true
Main stand (behind camera) before the North (just the most visible stand on camera), £35 for all ages in Main and North (just stupid at them prices), are they trying to prove the half empty stadium predictions from the sevconians true??
Surely the sensible solution would be allow us to sell behind a goal and north lowers (over 20k easily) and Saints behind the other goal (lower & upper), then allow us to move onto upper tiers once sold, sections of main stand at either end for either support if needed be after that, or even give Saints a part of the north and us the rest if it if the demand is there from them

So they are leaving the top tier of the best stand empty whilst selling tickets for the shitey main stand and the restricted views?
More excellent planning from the SFA.
I don't think restricted views are being used (if you mean areas like the usual away end)

Bit of a joke really this, so the vast majority of our support will be seperated by the length of the pitch
I'm hoping none of our fans bother buying Main Stand tickets unless they have to, that being because we have managed to sell out the two ends

Outwith Old firm Finals this must be the closest two SCup Finalists have been league position and pts wise since Rangers/Aberdeen in 1993 and United/Motherwell 1991
in 1993 Rangers 1st 9pts ahead of 2nd place Aberdeen, 1991 Motherwell 6th 8 pts behind 4th place United, although was 2pts per win those seasons so this one is even closer

I must have a completely different sense of humour from everyone here!
Thought the first two were average, maybe bordering on shite, but thought that was a lot funnier!
Agree, last nights was the best so far, probably better than most in the last series too

Granny you are quite right. Once Houston gets his MBA like you and me ( and Cockwomble) he can run Scottish Football!
I am sure he is only speaking as a Rangers fan, not the manager of your lot. And of course he couldn't be speaking as another over earning Scottish football personality who doesnt want to have his earnings reduced on a new contract to levels consistent with any new financial reality that United have to embrace. Could he?
We'll just give him a decent boo and some offensive insults from the main stand at Dens on Saturday!
Led to believe he was a Celtic man growing up.

slightly off topic, but United have sold out their allocation for the pre season friendly v Dundee @ Dens
Think the allocation is 4200-4500, it's no big deal, we always do and this is the 3rd time we have done for a friendly since they went down.

Maybe we can ditch the pessimism now guys. Newco are heading for the Third Division - at best.
I hope your right.
They seem hell bent on getting them into the SFL 1, which is even more unacceptable than them entering the SPL.
0 -
Basically they are saying to the hvns that they can act in whatever manner they like, cheat for atleast a decade, form as newco and you'll be let back into the 2nd tier of Scottish football because you are Rangers and you are an exception to the rule but we'd punt any other club who acted the same right down to the 3rd without a second thought.
What is this crap about them being 'relegated' to the 1st Division, are they serious?? how can they be relegated??
The whole scenario is an absolute disgrace and every bit WORSE THAN if they had been voted into the SPL.

This made me laugh out loud

With conessions of course, i didn't mean to seem unfair to Saints, if they can have 28/10 behind the goal they should have been able to do something like 35/15 stand side
The SFA should have been making certain the 3 lower tiers were filled first and 50/50 then moved onto the upper tiers at fair prices for all areas
