Aye I'm about done with McKechnie as well tbh. Just hasn't improved at all. Doherty isn't good enough. I'll he content if Todd stays but I won't be gutted if he leaves. McGuffie is probably the best technical player we have/had. If Murphy can find a role for him I'd be happy for him to stay. IMO playing just off the striker is where he'd do well. One of the few players who held on to the ball last season when there was nothing on.

That's 3 going I won't lose sleep over. I'd have been happy with Botterill staying and even being our No.1. tbh. I assume that means the following have been offered contracts then. Todd, Connelly, McGuffie, Cowie, Mimnaugh, Ross, Gibson, Johnstone, Currie If Mimnaugh can stay fit I really want him to stay. Would be happy enough for the other first team regulars to remain as well. And obviously really hoping Gibson signs. You'd imagine the other young lads will stay as well. That'd be 15 if they all signed. So we'd need another GK and 4 more players. Though, as we've discussed I really hope the 20 squad doesn't include those youngsters or we're not going up next season. ETA - I really hope we're trying to negotiate Doherty's release. I'd say Hutchinson as well but guven Murphy liked to use Goss as a target man I think he might have plans for Hutchinson.

He was out of his depth in the Championship so a year in L1 will be a sensible option for him. Reading the comments he's clearly a different player to the one ourselves and Falkirk had. But I think one more good year at L1 should be what he's aiming for.

Well done, Sons. Happy to be sharing a league with yourselves again, though at a level I'd rather we weren't at. Be nice to get the QoS/Sons love-in up and running again.

You've probably hit the nail on the head there. As I said, he was fine for us near the end of the season and we were playing with a back 3 - though we did that for a while right enough. In a back 2 he wasn't as good. He looked at his best for us playing in front of the midfield.

Hopefully Queens can bring in a new manager after Bartley then...

I really don't have any ill feeling towards Gibson. It was a shite way for him to depart but overall he was a great player for us. I think Murphy could get it tighter from Annan fans. Probably good that the Annan dugouts are away from the stands.

No surprise really. Be some laugh if Annan finish above us.

McCall helping out his old side nicely with these signings. Glad to see the back of McKay. He was fine nearer the end of the season but for the most part he's been pretty shite. Too powderpuff to be a good CB IMO and bullied a lot. Ok defensively with his headers but his marking usually poor. He should be fine at L2 though and he might look less stupid with his rolled down socks if he looks like he's decent. Docherty signing means one less diving wee p***k at Annan next season.
