Was nice to have an Airdrie player to shout at with justification, they've been slipping from their position as the premier pantomime villains in Scottish football. Don't think I've ever seen them play without a diamond on their shirt before today though even including away kits.
We deserved it on the basis of the second half but Kenny Miller is going to be a difficult player to take to.

One of Airdrie's legends. I remember his bravery in those days and have a distant memory of us beating Motherwell with his shot stopping. I always thought he was given a free transfer by Hibs due to his injuries and was surprised to learn a fee was involved. Sad day for his family and condolences to them.
I think I was at that Motherwell game at Fir Park. Laurie Leslie was unbeatable that day. In particular I remember a header by Charlie Aitken Motherwell’a right half (#4) from a corner on the main stand side at the away end which was heading for the top left hand postage stamp like a bullet when Laurie managed to get fingertips to it and put it round the post. He made innumerable saves that day. I can’t remember if we won or drew but we certainly didn’t lose - all because of him.
Incredible goalkeeper so sad to hear of his passing.

Couldn’t make it today. Good result but how did the team play? Any improvement or were we hanging on at the end again by dropping too deep?

Hard fought victory today. Very flat in 1st half. More urgency in 2nd. Didn’t think it was a pen. Big Nat brought something different to our game plan (if we had one?). The man can make a pass which we didn’t do nearly enough of especially 1st half.
Hope Andy Ryan rumours which I heard again at the game are true. If so would improve our title chances significantly.
Good 3 points eventually.
