  1. I think the problem is that Tade was such a different type of player to Graham in the sense that when Tade picked the ball up outside the box he could beat a player or 2 with his pace and his "skill", then could find Baird waiting in the box for a shot or a rebound. Graham isn't as fast and struggles to beat a player with skill or speed which leaves Baird to do the hard work outside the box and deliver to Graham. The only problem there is so far is that he hasn't taken his chances and just doesn't look too sharp in front of the goal.

However i have full confidence in Mcglyns signings and i am sure he will develop into a good striker for us. It just might take a bit longer.

He got to his peak quicker than I expected! He'll get you a dozen goals. Personally I liked the big guy, but you have described him perfectly. Next step is fans frustration..

  2. Did he not have an unsuccessful trial at Morton a couple of years earlier?

Seems like fans of the clubs hes been at rate him reasonably, but the fact that he didnt have a club last season does seem a bit strange.

He had a trial period, didn't get a contract at that time and signed for Stenny. We signed him after that. I think we have had him 3 times now. As I say, he's ok.

  3. And what's the latest on Weatherston?

It looked like he'd be coming back a la McKenna, but I think I'm right in saying nothing's been confirmed. I heard today that McPherson thinks the money earmarked for Weatherston could be better spent, but I've no idea whether or not there's any truth in that at all.

Anybody heard anything on the player front?

Stewart Kean played at St Mirren. Think Ayr may beat you to it though.

  4. According to someone on the mad site mckenna's back. will wait and see if its true, would be funny though to see the ton fans in a rage

I think all the negatives from you guys about McKenna has put some of us off. I'm not annoyed that he wont be coming. The agreement he made with Moore should ensure that he does come here though. It wont say much for him if he backs out after making a verbal agreement.

There's plenty of time for us to get an alternative. It's great that you'll keep your player.

  5. There are a few looking for a job but can we afford them?

Said this every time we were looking for a manager, see who applies, make up a shortlist and pick the best one.

It's still a gamble and it may not work out but it's the only way IMO.

Gus MacPherson , Jimmy Nichol, Calderwood or Brian Reid are the obvious ones but there must be others out there.

I doubt that these guys are affordable. I think that you are looking internally or from lower down. Possibly a player coach would be better for you. I've got the feeling that you've missed out to Alloa over Hartley (as an example). Tough one guys. All the best.
