  1. I dont think Lawler and Shatner are that close. Obviously they have worked together in the past so that went towards Shatner being selected. FWIW Lawler wanted the long time Memphis wrestling commentator to induct him. Vince denied him, as noone outwith the Memphis region would know who the guy was
  2. Certainly. This is the man who thinks he is the greatest man in the wrestling industry. The best in ring performer in the Hart family, just not given the chance to show it. I can imagine another Hart family meltdown when its released.
  3. Nash has to be my guilty pleasure in wrestling. He is far from the best in the ring or on the mic yet for some unknown reason is great. With him being a free agent and close to Vince, i would either like: 1. a surprise rumble entrance 2. him being revealed as GM or 3. Hall of fame next year with the living legend Scott Hall I will be buying Dustin's book along with Jericho's and what promises to be the biggest ego trip of a book ever: Bruce Hart
  4. Nash has been twittering about the Royal Rumble. If Big Kev was a surprise entrant i would be over joyed
  5. I got it too and watched the biography part last night. Whilst enjoyable i feel that they left some parts out which should have been included and it seemed to be speeded along to extent. Obviously his matches with Benoit were always going to mean a big jump in the story. As i said it was enjoyable but i wish they would give more insight to the man rather than giving us some dross matches on the set
  6. Rumours Val Venis is coming back as FCW coach/ part time wrestler. Hopefully this is true, always liked Venis and he is a very solid worker, who i would imagine be a great hand to the FCW trainees
  7. Dont know about anyone else but i could have listened to Rollerball Rocco, Walsh and McManus all night. Superb hour of chat only wished it had been longer. Might be alone hear but i used to love watching World of Sport on the wrestling channel. Apart from the famous names such as Big Daddy and Haystacks as well as the names further up you occasionally seen matches with the very young Davey Boy (Young David) Dynamite Kid, Finlay, "Cowboy" Bret Hart, William (Steve) Regal and the teenage Owen Hart. Mick McManus was a super heel. I have seen some of his matches and the old Granny's pure hated him, swinging their handbags as he made his way to and from the ring. My mum also told me last night that some her older relatives used to go crazy at his cheating antics while wathcing on tv, this in a time where everyone thought what they were seeing was real. Great story from Rocco last night about Davey Boy and Dynamite hiding at the back of the van when crossing the border into Scotland as they had forgot their passports. One thing is for sure they would not have pulled a rib on Dynamite like that 10 years later, or they would have got their "Fookin' ed kicked in"
  8. Just a heads up about a show on sky tonight, most likely clashing with Raw. Time our Lives, a discussion show is featuring World of Sport tonight and Gary Newbon will be interviewing Mick McManus, Rollerball Rocco and Banger Walsh about the good old days. Its on a 10pm on SS1. Actually really looking forward to this
  9. Good call! I like the sounds of that tbh and would not disappointed at all if that is how it panned out
  10. That what be awesome imo. Im sick of Cena, to the extent i cant be bothered watching WWE when he is on the the screen. If they had him help Barrett then he turned heel to remain in Nexus it would be awesome, if only to see the kids in the crowd cry. FWIW it wont happen. Barrett will win the title and Cena will no doubt defeat him at the Rumble or we have a mega chase and Cena wins the Rumble to face Barrett at WM. Predictable boring Super Cena TBH i just wish Cena would GTF!!
  11. A pleasant surprise to see Blossom in tonights episode. A character i had forgotten about until her and Alan pulled up in the car. Wonder where Jules is? Did he die?
  12. There are several instances like this during ppv's where JR jokes about Lawler and HKM family tie. Honky despises Lawler, as i said mainly due to his ego. HTM used to work for Lawler and was one of his biggest draws in menphis. Lawler would sign him off checks for £999.99 and make comments like "your not worth a grand a night" HTM believes Lawler treats him badly to try and prove a point to the lads in the locker room that he does not favour family over them and to mainly boost his own ego. Whilst Honky believes you take care of your family and look out for them in the buisness, Lawler overlooks them to benefit him. Im sure on a raw or even a ppv, both are on commentry at the same time and loads of snidey comments are made between the two
  13. Raven and Honky have a shoot interrview where they go through the list above, giving their opinion as to whether the stories are true or false. Regarding JBL and GMS: GMS was in the locker room bragging about forcing himself on to women and how he was some sort of studd and babe magnet. JBL over heard this and nailed GMS forcing him into the showering area, he then proceeded to "soap him up" whilst shouting "now you know how it feels". Regarding Lawler witnessing this, i really dont know. What i do know is Lawler often grassed on GMS for turning up late and other such stupid things in order to get him trouble. Honky says Lawler would never act fatherly in the locker room to GMS and that Lawler is only interested in himself and not helping his family (honky and lawler are cousins and honky despises him)
  14. Used to like Kat and Alfie in eastenders. Cant get used to them being back in it yet though
  15. I hate Cena, his promo's sicken me and his matches are awful. I was actually mad when he won the tag match at summerslam. I usally turn over when his spots are on raw. That saying i know the one man who could and would beat the little p***k clean. Hulk Hogan!! As sad as it sounds i would mark for Cena v Hogan (Hogan retirement match)
  16. Not as good as Kimbo's. Kim is actually an awful character, great chebs though. I wish Sam would just leave. Hope Minty gets a decent ride out of her first though
  17. Glenda will be next. Big Chaz, Jim and Patrick were loving Kim's diddies. Dont blame them really but Chaz was drooling and looking desperate. Scene of the night was the return of Tracy, working in the chippy. Took me about 30 seconds to realise it was her though
  18. With Bravo getting closed down im more bothered about where Dog the Bounty Hunter will end up:o I would be amazed if TNA ends up on sky sports though. Vince wont stand for Sky showing the opposition, especially with TNA's decent viewing figures in this country. I would imagine extreme sports, espn or even virgin might pick it up
  19. I dont think i have seen or heard an interview where Big Show does not come across as a class act. Having also read on other forums fans have said he is a real class act at signings where others can be short and snappy and act like they dont want to be there.
  20. Who was looking after baby Kamil? All the Masoods were in the Vic apart from him. Glenda turning up was a weird one, almost as if she had been hiding in the bushes waiting for a reason to show face.
  21. No the man in question, i believe was an extra. His shoulder caught fire and he fell into the seats. I take it now Sayeed will be accepted as gay after the families "near death" experience?
  22. Another bottle of Whiskey gobbled down in 5 seconds by Phil, great stuff. Was hoping Peggy was going to burn to death, especially with her pathetic tea towel escapades. What a way to leave the show that would have been. Did anyone notice when the pub was being evacuated a man fell to the floor and his shirt was on fire? what happened to this man? Why save Sayeed, Zainab and Fat Pat whilst another man burns? Lucky Sam was nowhere near the Vic though or her puss would have melted in the heat:lol:
  23. Been off work this week so have watched some of my old DVD's to fill the time. Royal Rumble 92 has to be one of my favourite events of all time. Heenan is just gold in this event. From the complete ripping of Jamison to the Rumble match itself. Just fantastic. "It's a skirt not a kilt" when piper is attacking Flair "It's a kilt not a skirt" when piper moves on to someone else only to reverse it again when Piper returns to Flair seconds later. I dont think there will ever be a rumble as good as this one. On a side not Sgt Slaughters elimanation is funny but sick at the same time. Canadian Stampede. Just an awesome event and probably my favourite ppv. Good lower card matches that mean something whilst the main event is brilliant. To think we are now without Davey, Owen and Pillman is sad. Also worked my way through some of Randy Savage DVD for the second time. Mainly the WCW stuff with the guilty pleasure of Wrestlemania 7 match with Warrior which has to be one of the best story telling matches of all time. Back to the present day and im currently watching NXT 3. Complete and utter rubbish and not enough Goldust
  24. Kept dozing off during raw last night. The Miz/Danielson stuff was good. Wonder where there going with Jericho though, we all knwo he might be leaving but i would not be surprised at all by a face turn
