Your awfully sure West Calder going to finish third and get promoted to second division. Edinburgh College are still 3rd on goal difference. Just saying lol
Well said Pumphyman, you beat me too it. Good old HibeeJibee must have something against the STUDENTS. By all accounts it looks like West Calder are self destructing. Come on all CLASSMATES sharpen those pencils and get promotion to Division 2.

Strongest has nothing to do with joining the East of Scotland. Their set up already looks better than many existing clubs, anyway they could always potentially buy their way to the top, just like Manchester City, good luck to the new club.

Sounds like Nitten could do with club legend Graeme 'Louis' Armstrong back in control.

Am sure the facilities will go down a treat with the amateurs in Division 2 next season. Worst playing squad they ever had and sinking like a rock. But all is fine as long as a cuppla regulars on this forum think it’s aw good no wrong can be said about the mighty Nitten Star. Living on past glory. No Nitten fans left to even comment on the sad state of affairs the club is in. If you ask a local they will tell you they dont set foot in the place. Bury yer heads aw you want it’s the truth.
Well Urban, get yerself on the committee and help make changes or are you quite happy to shout from the back benches?

Totally get why the guy is frustrated on the result issues,. Nitten Star should be a Premier League club at least but looks like they have lost their way recently, big club thou. Facilities are top class, good social club, tidy ground and hopefully groundsman Steve Thomas is still looking after the park, not cheap looking after a grass park. They will bounce back buddy head up.

Strange comment, from a non-West Lothian team supporter. Lots of really good grounds in WL to travel to, for watching matches.
Having visited West Lothian juniors grounds for many a years now , I can honestly say there are okay but some strange locals at times. Add in Harthill for next season and the memories come flooding back. As long as y've got thick skin and not let yourself get intimidated, you'll be fine.

This season, all Conference A & B teams are at Division 1 level. The bottom 7/8/9 of each Conference will be relegated into Division 2 next season. Conference X is becoming Division 3. Placing any current Conference A or B teams into Division 3 would mean a drop of 2 divisions, which would be inconsistent.
It's a little bit tough on the Conference X teams. but as LLL says, things will rectify themselves over the next 2-3 seasons.
I think the league got their restructure about right.
Utter pish, what a feeble excuse to defend the League. 9 in a league when you have an 18 team league Division 2 full of mince above you. What incentives are there , ok we'll wait 2/3 years, utter nonsense. Bunch of amateurs.

So are Edinburgh college basically a more modern Hamilton accies. Formed out of the college but over time became independent?
Edit- the club officials given on the EoS website all use college email addresses so there’s clearly some affiliation
Listen, the players don’t want to be call ‘students’ in every match reports every season. Yes they are College backed but have no policy in picking college students only. They already have a team that play in the Uni/college leagues and they have to be a student. This is an independent football club backed by the college open to all.

Why are they called Edinburgh College?
Why are Burntisland Shipyard called their name, don’t think there’s any riveters playing in the their team. Would you call the Civil Strollers Strollers the ‘Civil Servants’? It’s only a name.

HibbeeJibee, your doing a great job on the forums mate but with regards to Edinburgh College FC , please drop the ‘students’, ‘academics’ etc from your reports. ECFC are just a normal football club like others but unlike Heriot Uni, Edinburgh Univ. I don’t even think there is any players at the college. Rant over , cheers.

Genuinely, hope he’s ok.
However, nothing in the challenge. A coming together. Hence no booking.
Utter shite, poor reffing all season in this league. Head to head yes but when there’s an elbow involved , no way. There is footage of the incident.

I wish people would stop using the word ‘Students’. They may be playing under the banner ‘College’ but it’s an open football club, open to all. Good performance today from EC. EC have a good starting eleven, unfortunately unable to field that 11 in only 3 games this season due to long term injuries. Their getting there in a tough starter league.

Edinburgh College 3 v 6 Dalkeith Thistle , after extra time. Good cup tie with EC grabbing a last minute equaliser to make it 3 v 3 and take the tie into extra time. With covid problems nearly finished and 8 main players out with injury, EC were forced to field a few U20s boys to fulfil the tie. New boys EC haven’t been able to put out their strongest side since beginning of season , not ideal for a new club trying to find their feet in tough league.

Remember guys the U20's seasons change every year, maybe good one season then lose there older players the next. It's all about getting the youngsters ready for the big boy league's, not about winning/relegation etc.

Whitburn 4 v 0 Edinburgh College
A much better E.C performance against Whitburn compared to the first meeting, especially the 1st half 0 v 0. With E.C already 6 men out & including a few U20's and not including the 2 guys involved in an car accident on the M8 rushing thru for a 7.15pm kick off. Best to write this one off and move onto Saturday's Bathgate game and continue with their vast improvement.

Is it the case no spectators are allowed to watch these home matches just now due to covid rules?
Yeah but trying to rectify it for your visit on Saturday hopefully.

Edinburgh College 0 v 1 Livingston Utd, best performance of the season so far from EC. Didn’t deserve to lose to a 94min goal. Looks good for the future boys, it’s coming together.

Not sure of the details but as Edinburgh College has the lease on Marine Drive they may have other plans other than CCS's old pitch.
