Surely tae fack even our Board can see how inept Ray is. Do they have the balls to pay him off?

    Well played Airdrie.

Hopefully, you done us a favour.

Enjoy your win and a few sherries. :)

If I were a bairns fan I'd be hitting something stronger than sherry tonight...

When we played Apollon Limassol, their team was full of players from S.America, Iberia and the Balkans.

Think there is serious money in the top few clubs there.

I remember Anorthosis Famagusta having a cracking team

Solihull brought a stronger squad to Kelty Hearts in the last round. Shame on them chucking it from 3-1 up, even worse, they put a defender on in place of a striker while 3-2 up and promptly shit the bed against Grogzda.🤧

They thought they'd breeze it with their direct physical style of play, giants against midgets. It worked for an hour by which time they should have been out of sight, but when they tired the Colts energy and slick play had them on the ropes long before the end.  No sympathy, football was the winner.

Tbf they rested 9 players from Saturday tonight... played 2nd-string.

Someone on the Rangers forum has done his homework:

"Boot, Williams, Yussuf, Carter, Reckord all played in their 0-0 draw against Blackpool last season.

Bigirimana was obv at Motherwell last season

Howe, Hancox, Hawkridge also all played in their 0-0 away draw against Notts County earlier in the season (random game i picked - feel free to choose other games and take a look for yourselves)

Don't believe the reserve side pish that Moors fan posted, this was a strong team that they put out. At least 2/3rds are first teamers with the others on the periphery."

Similarly, I read that Rangers Colts were missing players out on loan

I think Solihull had a couple of new signings in this week (one today) and a couple of loan players, all from league clubs., even their second string should be too strong for a Colts team. After all, the Colts don't normally survive the early rounds against our 2nd division sides. I was at the Kelty Solihull match, they were mostly very tall, fit  and athletic, but short on skill. I thought the Colts might beat them football wise if they could stand the physical challenge. It seems they finished the stronger side.

ETA the Solihull manager said he was taking the match seriously and was putting out a side he hoped would see them through.

  6. The English 5th tier is  a full time league with several massive clubs; Solihull are in the top half and  only managed to beat Kelty Hearts on penalties and now have failed to beat Ranger's youth team. So much for those who say our league sides would struggle in the English lower leagues.

And what a piss-poor deflection that was.

Well spotted the whole gate was 2900ish and East Fife accounted for 754 of that, ergo the home support was 2150 which is actually 500-600 up on our average home gate (the average for East Fife at home last season was 698 just in case you didn't know). Those figures show that your point was valid in that the home support was up by over 30%.

On the other hand the return zinger (whatever the f**k that is) shows that East Fife's travelling support was indeed not only greater than the average home gate but also up over 800% on their away norm. Here's a tip: If you're going to shift focus by pointing out we have some fair-weather fans then I suggest you'd be better making sure your own arse is better covered first, or to put it in layman's terms people who live in glass houses.....

Perhaps in reality it really only goes to show that there are more East Fife fans who are willing to come out and treat this as a meaningful derby, fair fucks to them for it!

I would imagine both ends had more than a few Pars/Cowden fans from round the region who's teams were both playing away attracted by the big top of the table derby.

No 7 is Chris Johnston - cracking creative midfielder, and a real handful for your left back.

Still baffled as to why McKinnon took Longridge was subbed.  He must have been carrying an injury.  If not, McKinnon is clueless.

I thought he was OK in his time with us but generally he was disliked by the support. I think he's better than that headless chicken McManus.

We've a history as long as the Forth Bridge of letting good players go on the cheap - Micky Cameron, the trio to Millwall, , the other trio to Livingston which included Big Marv, Nacho Novo to Dundee -  nearly all were sold on later for big money. I'm sure there are others.

The trio to Millwall was not exactly cheap. Ffs.

Cheap? We got F*** ALL for them.
