Shocking HobNob it was only just over a week since I was cheering the Pars on

I'll be cheering you on when you play Airdrie 🤝

Fwiw Championship/league one titles don't particularly bother me, it's something that I've seen Dunfermline win, that we'll probably win again at some point, likewise it's only a matter of time for Falkirk to win the championship again. I also supported Raith against Rangers in the challenge Cup final so I'm not totally full of bitterness.

    Go on - explain.

I know my club doesn't have an immediate rival in the same way, but I still can't imagine despising anyone as I do the OF.  I even include the Gretna of early this century in that.

    I hate the old firm.

I hate seing our rivals (Falkirk and to a much lesser extent, Raith) do well. I can respect Falkirk fans, if they'd been born twenty miles east they might have been Pars fans, they are just guys following a fellow middling Scottish football club because it's where they're from or it's who they're Dad supported, I'll have far more in common with a Falkirk fan than an Old Firm fan, however...

Agreed, Dunfermline are our big rivals but I do have a respect for the club and the fans and love our games against them. Whereas I despise everything about the OF and take great pleasure in their failures.

When Dunfermline played Celtic in the three national Cup finals between 04-07 who did you support? Maybe I'm just petty, but despite me despising everything about Rangers I was still happier when they beat you in one.

The drama I've got is that if Falkirk, or Raith for example win a national title they'd quite rightly use it as a "Get it up ye" point against Dunfermline, you beat them in a derby game the retort can be "Aye, but I've seen my team win the Scottish cup" that's game set and match eh?

Whereas if the old firm beat Falkirk in a final it's just another day for them.

Again, it might just be me being petty, but it's how I see it.

Edit - I've just seen I've used the word hate a few times there, that's more than just a bit excessive.

I get what youo mean, but the point, such as it was, was that you don't score 4 with just 2 shots on target.

xG might say 6-6, if you believe in such things, but there has to be a correction applied for the Airdrie factor.

SoT is an absolutely daft way to a judge how many goals should have been scored.

It's some feat for any team to go unbeaten through a whole league season so on that basis I'm sure Dunfermline fans would have classed that side last year as legends.

For me, absolutely not. But it's a personal thing. Can't really disparage someone else for holding a team in high regard.

The word legend gets chucked about a bit too easily for my liking in any case.

Because McLean was refusing to give a freekick for Jakubiak tugging his shirt as he tried to kick it. Then watched as he obstructed him trying to release it for another 15 seconds. If he was applying the rules properly Jakubiak could have been booked four times already.

Jakubaik didn't move for 15 seconds, what rule does he violate? He's entitled to stand at the edge of the box? Mullen could've retreated a metre into his box if he was concerned about hitting Jak.

Strapp off for Waters looks on the face of it, an odd sub.

Lovely header, could be a huge goal.

Not a lot of great football in that first half, a lot of physical battles which the ref has let go for the most part other than the bookings for both teams which were all pretty clear cut

Aye, no idea why Power is such an angry individual, you could see the foul/booking coming from a mile away as three different Morton players had a pop at KRH.

The booing at various points from the Morton fans would indicate they're not happy at something, presumably the referee I suppose.

It was the type of game I was expecting really, I think in open play we've looked a bit better, good pressing from Jak and Kane has led to allot of direct football which Bene and MFW have dealt with pretty well, however Morton still look threatening from Set pieces, Strapp mixing it up by occasionally going short is smart play.

  7. If you're phoning up a ticket office and abusing the staff on the other end you're a c**t imo.

Not getting involved with the petty nature of the whole incident, but there's heehaw the poor bugger on the other end of the phone will do about it.

90% of that statement from the United CEO is just empty words and pish, with gibberish being an accurate summation. However this part.

"“The way Raith Rovers have responded to this, it’s actually starting to stoke hysteria between people and that has resulted in members of our ticket office staff being verbally abused by Rovers supporters."

Is probably fair, from the initial statement, to the tweet shared above, to the Interviews by Barrowman it's just stoking those tensions up needlessly.

Tl;Dr, don't be a dick and abuse office staff eh?

I really used to like Stewart. Not afraid to give his opinion and not afraid to be critical of people that normally get an easy ride but his shtick of being absolutely fucking desperate to berate officials in every situation is grating.

Couldn't agree more, used to really like him.

He's now an absolute fucking belter whenever he does the Scottish Championship.

Talking of Derbys….when did Falkirk move to Fife…?

Always thought that was a daft argument, it's closer than say East Fife is to EEP, as far as I'm aware there's absolutely no rivalry between Dunfermline and East Fife.

Not the same county but when was that the pre-requisite for something to be called a derby? Surely it's to do with distance, and in that regard TFS is apparently 5 miles further from EEP than what Starks is.

I'll leave it upto individuals to debate what they consider to be the bigger game, it'll very much depend when they grew up I'd imagine.
