First question at the meeting, "can we afford Michael Tidser"? Always good to start with a little joviality to break the ice.

These guys will not be sure if that's a bluff, or a double bluff coming from a Pars man. I say don't buy season tickets, shirts and don't protest either. Then once the current board are on their knees, make your offer to buy. Oh sorry, just been watching Suits. The only truly effective way of getting rid of club owners etc is by starving them of cash. Fans who protest and happily buy tickets and replica shirts are totally missing the point.
Get your banners out, have a protest outside the ground. Be peacefully hostile. Call yourselves Seaside Rebellion.

A big team like the Pars should maybe get into a bit of gazumping and do a bit of shopping whilst the play offs are going on instead of leaving it late like last summer. At least there are not many players we'll be gutted to lose.Hard to say either way.
If I was him though I'd be looking at all options available and if a better offer came up ( wether that's cash and/or a team in a higher league ).. I'd take it.
Depends how ambitious he is.
The players you want for winning League 1 are at Ayr United and Partick. Doubt they'd want to go to Falkirk though.0 -
That's my tenner on for Falkirk to stay up via the play-offs, consolation of being a millionaire if it happens.
In Zimbabwe.

I'd choose Falkirk and Morton. The former are overdue a spell among the diddies, and it's always party time when Morton go down. Can't think why.
Really not looking good for QoS now, though.
You like the idea of one manager doing enough to relegate two clubs in a season? Some feat.0 -
Mr Spence scored in 31 minutes.

Why leave it? It's NW only. It brings a bit of atmoshpere to the ground you boring git.
Not sure about the atmoshpere, Sir Sean, but it’s a spectacle. If it’s good enough for Barca...
...or Barsha as you’d call them.

I see my attempt at humour here is lost, but that is no take on me.
You’re a bit touchy.0 -
Agreed we are hunting high and low for a goalscorer.
Stop crying wolf, Bruce is the man given that he got in the swing of things right away.
He’ll scare the living daylights out of these Championship defences.
I’ll get ma hat an be awa before Skyline Drifter gets here...

I think most of the guys that left (Morris, Aird, Clark, McManus) it was a case of them wanting to go, as they were being offered more money elsewhere. I doubt AJ wanted to punt any of those four. Cardle is the only one we probably could have kept that we seemed to decide to not renew.
Not sure how you can say Talbot's been a miss, since he's ended up playing part-time at Cowden and we have a much better player in that position now, in Jackson Longridge. Also, despite the flack Devine, Ashcroft and Devine have taken, our defensive record really isn't that poor. They're being put under so much pressure because the team isn't scoring enough.
Two Devines? Was he cloned before the window shut?
What a thought.0 -

Callum will be a player, no doubt one of these ones that you’ll see scoring every other week, saying why did we let him go. How many times have we looked at the scorers in the other games where half the scorers used to play with us, but weren’t deemed good enough. I think he’d do well alongside Anderson from what I’ve seen. A player like Anderson needs watching and that may give whoever else is there more room.

Are you thinking right down or play offs down?
The R word should be banned from this thread.
The path of the Pars man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the playing budgets and the tyranny of Falkirk. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity buckets and good will write offs, shepherds the weak into the valley of East End, for he is truly an additional keeper and the finder of lost defenders. Aberdeen will send a striker down upon thee and with great vengeance and furious anger silence those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Hamish French when I lay My vengeance upon you.

Higginbotham would be an excellent signing for any Championship team that figures out how to use him.
