So is Nelms saying two other clubs changed their position from what was agreed previously? So that means those clubs weren’t ICT or Thistle as they had been clear that they were voting no? I’m confused.

Are Dundee fans still pretending that their vote on a single issue - ie whether to finish the league now or not, is somehow an incredible bargaining chip in securing something that the people they're negotiating with don't have the power to give them. Nelms and co appear to be trying to play 4D chess on a dartboard.
I don’t have enough info to make up any sort of sound analysis. It’s a shambles though, that much is clear.0 -
I can’t keep up with this. What’s happening now? Nelms is too nice to be doing anything underhand. Bet he’s fighting the good cause. Leave him alone abody!

Got to be far more to this. Got to be.

Definitely seems like there was collusion at play between the Championship clubs. Would be interesting to see how Dundee and Inverness were incentivised by Thistle for their original No vote.

But we need the OF pound!!!!!
Eta: But seriously, we'd be left with a team having a free week and that'd create all sort of problems come end of the season.
Top six, bottom eight?0 -
Scott Gardiner is an egotistical fanny. Alarming stuff that he’s anywhere near a football club again.

Right what’s going on?

They lost Dundee’s vote which was apparently a no vote? Who knows what to believe.

Comfortable win. Defence looks solid. Can’t remember Hazard having anything to do other then one save in the first half and their shot off the post. Ayr are a good side but I thought it was comfy tonight tbh.
McDaid was so disciplined defensively but was able to contribute in attack, really impressed with him. Byrne looked sharp too and got stuck in. And Nelson ran himself into the ground. Good balance about the team just now. Hopefully can keep it going against Dunfermline.0 -
In terms of actual naturally formed small rivalries, I'd say that Hamilton Accies are more relevant to the Dundee support than St Johnstone are. St Johnstone are just such a boring, inoffensive club.
I remember being astonished when I found out that St.Johnstone v Dundee was regarded as a derby and the extent to which their fans see Dundee as their main rivalry.
I actually don’t mind St. Johnstone [emoji23]0 -
Thistle were atrocious and we weren’t that much better but comfortable win in the end.
Hemmings was the difference.
Brian Graham will score goals as he has done for previous clubs but he’s technically abysmal.
Got to fear for Thistle.
McPake plunders on.1 -
What's even more frightening is that you are one point ahead of us and are pretty much the same size club with a hideous wage bill. When will you get it?
When will I get that we’re absolutely terrible? I think if you read my posts you’ll see that I ‘get it’. I’m still convinced we’ll finish above Dunfermline though.0 -
The scary thing about this is that Dunfermline will still be fighting to avoid the drop. If we don’t sack McPake we will be too.
How are we still in a play-off spot? This league is horrific.0 -
Don’t think we have a higher than Dundee or Inverness either
Definitely not higher than Dundee but would imagine it’ll be higher than ICT’s.0 -
Will be interesting to see how Wighton does for you. I was totally underwhelmed when he was linked to come back to us but apparently there is a player in there somewhere, we just never saw it. Neither did Raith or Hearts.
We saw it in flashes I think. He was tremendous against Motherwell at Dens a few seasons ago, always stands out as probably his best game for us. But I agree, he’s got a lot to prove. Potentially a fantastic signing for Arbroath.2 -
Horrendous that I’ve got to this stage but I’d take a humping to get rid of McPake. I’m uncomfortable in saying that because I don’t like to see people out of a job, but from a selfish fan point of view he really needs to go.

Have you heard anything?
Just murmurs on social media, nothing to get our hopes up unfortunately.1 -
Statement in the morning?

Only McPake can explain why Hamilton plays every week. Worst goalkeeper I’ve ever seen at Dens and think he’ll struggle to play at any professional level after Dundee. Harsh but true.

Your current team will compete with bottom end teams, that’s it though. If Neilson wants top six you’ll need almost an entire new team IMO.
