  1. yes that's what i am suggesting. you don't believe that his physical transformation post wimbledon 2008 was suspicious? you don't find the fact that novak couldn't play in heat 12 months ago but is no blowing everyone off the court is supicious? why would PEDs be rife in cycling, athletics, football, baseball and gridiron but not tennis?
  2. if you're aff the PEDs you are novak 12 months ago. and if you get right on a good program you are novak today
  3. there's no men in the top 20 tennis players taking PEDs because there is no positive tests. and by that logic big jen capriati is clean. she had zero positive tests.
  4. you'll see it next to the sun headline about hacking milly dowler's phone. oh wait. novak has been a warrior thenk god he's no longer blind 20 months ago novak was considered a pussy. novak was close to passing out anytime the sun appeared from behind a cloud 'roger' glides around the ground. five sets aren't an issue. spanish guy plays a doubles match after a five setter. it's funny how spainards don't get tired. 1. look at any comments of murray, djokerr or nadal against testing 2. look at the lack of positives against jennifer capriati and mary pierce a decade ago. 3. look at the roided up women's players pulling out the olympics the same day the IOC said they would be tested as any other athlete pre greece 2004 wrestlers?????? quite a lot of guys
  5. so you think it is outwith the realms of possibility that top tennis players use PEDs? despite the fact that many of them are built like WWE wrestlers? when the women's game went steriod mental in the early 2000s it was pretty much uncommented on in the press despite the likes of mauresomo, pierce, capriati and davenport having muscles on their muscles. when drugs cheat greg rudeski is your bbc analyst you know that tennis is treated with far less scrutiny than cycling or athletics.
  6. andy was immense in the first set but as soon as a few doubts slipped in during the 2nd he was done. he has to sort his head. is anyone else suspicious of novak's incredibly improved levels of fitness this season? i find it strange that athletes on tour all year round regularly make such massive physical jumps (djokovic this year, murray after wimbledon 08) and it is barely commented on at all. i would bet my bottom dollar that all of the big four and plenty of players below them are on some kind of program. i don't care and i love watching them play but it seems quite insulting that we are supposed to believe the reason for the jump in form by djovokic is because he switched to a gluten free diet federer can play endlessly without showing any signs of fatigue, nadal was an absolute monster at 15 years old, murray went from a weakling to one of the strongest guys on tour in 12 months and now novak who used to be close to passing out every time the sun came out from behind a cloud is winning nearly 60 games in 6 months from the baseline and blowing his rivals off court. no one in the media seems to think this is all a bit odd
  7. japanese boy sits down well. it's an amazing book, i love the bit with the old psychic guy talking about his war experiences. his most recent book is out in a couple of months. i've got it preordered on amazon, cannot wait.
  8. i think they are worried that a full out sprint on a long straight road for the intermediate points will cause a pile up. usually when there is a big sprint at the end the people who aren't interested are happy to ride in easy and get the group time. in the middle of the stage you still have idiots like cav and renshaw going all out but the full peloton is behind them still taking care of their own business. inside 3km crashes don't matter but with over 100km to go they can have a huge effect.
  9. it looks like people who were ahead of the schleck/wiggins crash inside 3km but finished behind the 6 second group have been promoted to a 6 second finish. we haven't heard the last of this.
  10. it's early days for that yet. contador will take at least 40 secs out of schleck in the ITT and don't think he will lose a great deal to him tomorrow. if anything it means that saxo will have to start the attacks early, maybe in the massive central. there's no chance contador will give up, even if he is 3 mins down he would probably still be confident of making it up in stages 14 and 19 plus the ITT. since it looks like no one got hurt i don't think we could have asked for a better start.
  11. totally unfair but i'm happy. Anyone But Contador
  12. they've arrived at this because the bent as a 9 bob note spanish cycling federation cleared him. it's up to the national association to discipline riders and if they don't wada and the uci have to take them to CAS which is a long drawn out process. the ending there was chaos. i don't see how they can give the people who crashed inside the 3 the 6 second time but not people who finished in front of them. whatever happens someone is going to be pissed off.
  13. he shouldn't be racing the tour, it's a simple as that. he should have taken a year suspension then came back in 2012. if wins the tour then loses at CAS he'll ruin the result of 3 of the last 4 GT's, that is a hefty blow to a sport that struggles for credibilty.
  14. epic opening stage. i was out my chair when cancellera came through. hopefully that dick that caused the crash gets leathered at some point tonight. i was hoping the schlecks had got a wee advantage over bertie but it doesn't look like it. anything to avoid contador winning then being stripped. evans, kloden and van den broeck getting a wee GC boost should keep it interesting when they hit the first mountains.
  15. i'm liking this intermediate sprint. it's quality seeing the peloton go all out on a sprint on a random bit of road rather than a finish in a town.

  17. a really good book. i didn't really like the ending but it's a brilliant account of childhood and family life. i always thought he was a cock socket and still do to some extent but i read a good interview with him by paul kimmage in the sunday times a while ago and i had a lot of sympathy for him due to his childhood issues and the pyschological issues he is still suffering from because of it.
  18. what's the deal if you bet schleck then contador wins but gets stripped at CAS?
  19. are muslim weddings actually anything like the ones in eastenders? some drummer leads everyone down the street. then you jump into a community centre, then an mc boy comes out then everyone starts doing co-ordinated dance rountines? i have my doubts tbh, they seem about as authentically muslim as the guy who plays syed.
  20. he's beat nadal in melbourne and new york. the only times he's played federer and djokivic that i can recall have been the three finals.
  21. lolita by vladimir nabokov. everyone knows the basic outline of the story, creepy old guy pumps 12 year girl which does make for some repulsive reading. on the other hand humbert humbert despite being a pyschopathic paedophile is a very convivial first person narrator and the entire novel is an enjoyable and very funny read. humbert's nymphet obsession is always at the centre of the story but the most entertaining aspect is his sardonic, old world european take on post ww2 american heartlands. it's the first nabokov book i've read and i was extremely impressed, its remarkable that anyone can write so well in a second language.
