Certainly it was closer to the home side so your view was better than mine. However I wonder if the crowding of the Ref by Morton players , made it look worse. It didn't prevent the player continuing so maybe a yellow was about right.

I've not seen any Oakley incident later so hard to comment much as the Ref appeared to see no incident in the Mullen/ McGregor situation.

The challenge on him was not particularly heavy, and I accept that Crawford may have done as you say but we've all seen miracle recoveries in the modern game.

I actually enjoyed the game and it certainly wasn't dull

The morton players gathering around the referee didn't make the challenge look worse. It was a horrific challenge and very late. Cant say for certain bit o woukdnt be surprised of it was pre- meditated and Airdrie's way of statimg their intent for the game. I'm surprised Crawford continued and escaped without a serious head injury. Taylor Sinclair should have walked but the referee was so incompetent he allowed the player to stay on the pitch.

  2. Deserved victory albeit it a hairy last 10 minutes. I don't mind Airdrie being physical and aggressive however the match officials have to do their job. Taylor Sinclair should have seen red early on as his foul on Crawford was assault. This was evened out by the referee not awarding anything for mullens foul early in the second half.

Thought both of our goals were great and could have had another couple with quitongo hitting the bar, one being cleared off the line....

Airdrie fans giving Quitongo a hard time for documented past events are  scum.

Another 3 points and onwards to Raith.

  3. Similar to a few weeks ago against Dunfermline I think we owe Airdrie here as they've had our number for the majority for the 3 games so far.  That said it's not going to be an easy game. Airdrie play very good football and have players that can hurt opposing teams. We've succeeded in making Cappielow a fortress again and should be looking to win this. Morton win by the odd goal

I just watched the highlights as well as being at the game. I'm surprised some are getting heated about it. It was a deserved 0-0 and I reckon that probably suited both teams. It was a potential banana skin for Morton and we wanted to get at least a point to keep our improvement going. Job done for both sides.

Deserved 0-0 despite the away team having 61% possession and 9 attempts on goal of which 5 were on target?

Are you having a fucking laugh?

Yesterday was the archetypal game where both teams deserve a 0-0, neither has done anything to shift that dial and the refereeing performance made no difference to the result whatsoever, but the idea that Morton were the team trying to spill that over into a riot is fucking mental. Ferrie just about cut Muirhead in half, Bannon and Tizzard could probably have whipped machetes out and started claiming portions of Oakley's legs with how much they were getting away with, Paton could have had two bookings for diving in any given 10 minute portion of the game.

Full credit to him for finding a way to get results with the squad he's inherited, this is most definitely praise rather than criticism, but aside from persisting with a shape and getting his players to maintain it the noticeable transformation in Queen's Park under Davidson is that they used to only start claiming bodies and diving about like lunatics when they went 1-0 down having lost their heads and now they do it from kick-off as the actual game plan, turning the game into the massive scrap that suits them from the start. With the possible exception of Raith no one else in the division can so obviously set out to maim their opponents and get away with it by getting on the right side of the ref, total respect for a manager who has identified what his squad is actually good at and turned it up to eleven.

A very sensible post almost red dotted to death by the wee Hampden luvvies.

Aye, it did. If the ref had stood up to the playground thuggery antics in the same manner the QP players courageously did, then there may have been the chance of some football breaking out.

As it stands, am happier to be watching our players under CD each week than ever having to endure Doug's dugs!

🤣. Yet we played the better football and had clear cut chances? Whereas our keeper didn't have a single save to make? You're a deluded wee soul.

Also wish Paton was as courageous as his brave comrades and actually stood up to the 'playground thuggery' rather than spend most of his day on his arse or crying to the ref.

Fair's fair: these "tears and snotters" are technically pre-match; but imagine getting this huffy when people (not limited to Queen's fans) lightly rip the pish out of you for having asked, effectively, "Is there anywhere to park at Hampden?"

Aaah I'm glad you acknowledged that you answered in a completely different context however ill play your wee game.....or effectively did i ask 'wheres the best place to park on a matchday at Hampden?'

Quite incredible reading Morton fans slating Calum Ferries performance today. One particular fucking idiot holding a performance from over a year ago over him. Your own lord and saviour Dougie Imrie praising him in his post match interview, maybe when you calm down and watch the highlights you'll realise how good he is. PFA Championship keeper of the year last season, voted for by the other players in the league. They have a better idea than anyone on this forum, myself included.

We were absolutely dire today so that's a good point for us. Very poor going forward and kind of solid at the back, managing one way or another to keep Morton out.

It wasn't pretty at all, and both teams had examples of over the top tackling, embarrassingly trying to win fouls and general arsehole behaviour, but two months ago we'd have been scudded on a day like today. The difference that Davidson, his recruits and his mentality has made cannot be understated.

I think we've found the tears and snotters that Spidersmad was talking about.

It was an at times grim spectacle from a QP point of view especially in the total lack of any creativity for most of that second half. At least we had the grit and determination to dig in and salvage a point, something which I doubt we would have done under Veldman. There's still a helluva lot of work to do to fashion a side which can draw clear of the relegation zone.

Says it all when the highlight of my matchday has been the tears and snotters of some of the Morton supporters on here. Keep it coming, lads!

Where's the tears and snotters luv?

Yeah we got away with that today but the total shift in mindset nowadays (especially defensively) under Davidson is incomparable to Veldman and to some extent, Coyle. We look horrible one the eye at times going forward (virtually zero attacking intent today) but we battled hard and kept going even when we were massively under the cosh 2nd half. We lose that game 10/10 times under Veldman. If you’re not going to win the game, make sure you don’t lose it either

If there’s any doubts as to whether Cal Ferrie is a bombscare goalie, I think today proved what a fantastic keeper he is at this level. The best keeper in the league no doubts and I’m sure he’ll probably move on to bigger things in the summer being out of contract. Quite outrageous saves in the 2nd half

Morton were really decent imo. They have their way of playing but it works and it works well. No denying they’re physical but they can play the ball on the deck effectively also. The entire 2nd half had an air of inevitability about Morton scoring but thankfully wasn’t the case

A good point which keeps things ticking over to Dundee United next week. A big ask but the players should be going in to it with an element of belief. Dundee United are no great shakes

'Outrageous' is just a step too far. He had a good game  though. Can't argue with that.

As for being the best keeper in the league please see Ryan Mullen

  11. First half was a hard watch. Second half much better from us and we dominated although I thought those amateur p***ks looked dangerous on the break. Had a fair number of chances and I'd like to see the highlights as I wonder if us not scoring was down to good goalkeeping or a lack of composure. Says a lot when the home teams goalkeeper gets motm (he's still a midden). Referee absolutely stinking and although i enjoyed Jai's tussle with their left back I think he was lucky to escape unpunished with what looked like a studs to the chest. Again it will be interesting to see that one back.

Expected more from the boy Paton today but he spent most of his time on the deck or arguing with the Referee. Playing at Hampden with allegedly over 2000 fans in attendance is a total shambles. Difficult to build any kind of atmosphere. If I was a QP fan I'd be desperate for the club to get the lesser hampden debacle sorted and get back to playing there ASAP.

Would have taken a point before ko but 2 points dropped with those missed chances.

What else can someone say, Car Park at Asda in Toryglen and enjoy your walk, and lets hope you don’t have plantar faciatis .

Maybe Cathcart road, in any given legal parking space, and you can get a steak pie from the best chippy?

Or if your a lazy geezer as your question would suggest, right in the car park, oot side the main stand, row seven, space 14, just reserved for you, courtesy of the pie and bovril booking system

Not familiar with the area, being told a Car park right outside the stadium was open on matchdays would have been fine.

Don't think it's a difficult one to answer but i suppose some folk can't do that without trying to be a smart arse. Thanks for replying though.
