I thought they ditched replays in the FA Cup or was that just a Covid thing?

That was just a one/two season thing due to covid scheduling I believe. Commentators were saying there is going to be a vote regarding scrapping them completely.

I’m for getting rid replays are shite.

No way should he be playing for Scotland, he’s been asked before and refused. I’d have Alan Rough back before I’d have him.

His career has gone south & now there’s speculation he will lower himself to pull on a Scotland jersey, get him so far to f**k & then slightly further.

Aye Mon the bag pipes and tatties and get yon dafty Che Adams oot anol since he turned us down a few times.

this post is entirely sarcastic btw.

Virtanen was sitting behind me alongside two other no-shows in Redfern (who I sympathise with) and Hamilton (who I don't). No sign of Tiehi with them and I certainly wouldn't be surprised if he leaves which is a shame as he's actually alright. Ngandu, I'm only surprised he hasn't already been released as he's 100% away.

Read elsewhere Virtanen has an Achilles injury so will be out for a bit. Good of the club to keep us in the loop.

Yeah I’m done with Jamie Hamilton as well now. When he reaches the lofty heights of signing for a Ross County or St Mirren in a few years I hope he’ll be proud of how he has influenced his career panning out.

173 Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody -- Hoo boy. Bad musical biopics tend to be really bad, and this one absolutely honks. Rather than find a narrative thread through Whitney's life, or focus on one pivotal moment, the movie blusters through her life from one IMPORTANT MOMENT to the next, with no connection to what came before or lead into what happens next. People, usually Stanley Tucci, burst into rooms to announce, Hey Whitney, they want you to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Hey Whitney, you're about to break The Beatles' record for consecutive number ones. Hey Whitney, Kevin Costner's on the phone. Naomi Ackie's portrayal of Whitney is so bereft of charisma and presence as she' mimes to genuine performances, and about the only interesting thing the movie gives us is the realization that the whole package needs to be in sync for it to work. Someone who looks a bit like Whitney, who moves a bit like Whitney, but who can't be Whitney just doesn't convince. And once you spot that Bobby Brown's gap between his teeth is pencilled in, you can't unsee it. 3/10

I went to see this on Boxing Day to get out the house for a bit and agree with this. As I was watching it I was thinking this seems to be going at 100mph and not in a good way.

These biopics all seem to follow the same pattern as well so I’m getting a bit bored with them, I don’t know if that’s because all musicians life’s are broadly similar but they all go along the lines off:-

humblish upbringing, get discovered, hit the top, drugs, friends/family/manager rinse them for money, redemption, death (if applicable).

  5. And they are going 7 points clear. Brighton look a gang.

Additionally sky sports advertising one of their upcoming games as being the first with ‘sky sports junior coverage’ sounds like worst thing ever.

  6. The Accies thread appears to be gone? Has Bateman chucked it/been emptied? Has the thread been moved to the league 1 forum already?

Anyway I genuinely think that result will see the end of Rankin at some point before new year. That result also probably condemns us to the play off spot at the very best, still being in touching distance of Arbroath is the only positive to look at.

  7. c**t on the road today - always seems to be on or around Glasgow road despite the average speed cameras being there. Undertook me at a ridiculous speed only to get stuck behind the many cars in front at the red traffic lights near to the police Scotland building, so naturally I went as close as I could get behind him and gave him horn blast and a wave.

When we actually get on to Glasgow road he is stuck behind 2 cars 1 in either lane and you could tell by the way he was driving he was getting ratty about this, so he uses a right turn only lane at traffic lights to overtake one of the cars nearly causing an accident as he swerved back in in front of them and speeds off to get stuck at more red lights all along this road.

People driving slow for no reason (I.e country roads or motorways) pisses me off but to have such little patience in Glasgow rush hour traffic is mind boggling, just chill out and put classic fm on or something.

So after a couple years of wanking furiously, I decided to join the world of online dating.

Matched with a girl who is from Grenada but lives in the UK, and we got onto the topic of surnames. When I said what my surname was, she sent a load of laughing emojis before telling me that was also her surname. Very naively I said "I am really surprised that is a Grenadian surname" to which she replied "It's from when the Scots invaded Grenada and gave all the slaves surnames"

I can fully admit I had no idea about this, and didn't know whether to apologise or not. I think my floundering and somewhat flustered reply amused her, as she wants to go for a drink at the end of the week. I will most likely relent from taking her to the Scottish Stores for a Tennants, but looking forward to it nonetheless.

Would be nice to hear what the outcome of this one was?…

It's the members voting on it...

The UK government need to get the finger out.

I dunno, a 9% offer really isn’t that bad tbh (it’s not still a pay cut so don’t wheel that line out). I’d also be very interested to see what percentage of Union voters are now actually for industrial action continuing as the support must be waining rapidly.

That game was the one where Foran play a midfield 4 of Vigurs, Tansey, Draper and Polwarth IIRC. The flattest midfield ever. Ugh.

I seem to recall he also threw the players under the bus in the post match interview as well.

How he wasn't emptied to try and save our season I'll never know.

Was he not given a ridiculous 3 year deal when he was appointed? Or some sort of extension like that during his terrible tenure.

The fact the Richie Foran managed Inverness took us to the last game of the season fighting it out to avoid automatic relegation was one of the many black marks for Martin Canning as manager.
