I hope the Orbital green album makes an appearance. I only wanted to include one orbital choice and the brown album just shaded it. Green more than deserves a place too though.

Balls! I've been watching this like a hawk. At least my wallet can take a break seeing as I've been on Amazon ordering CD's since you started the countdown.

Number 1 on my list. I honestly thought this would be higher. This epitomises the word album. Very rarely have I bought an album that I would listen to from start to finish without skipping tracks. Halcyon is probably one of my favourite ever tracks. Listening to this is taking a journey through intelligent electronica of the 90's. anyone who hasn't heard it, get it listened to! As Colin mentioned, Lush and impact are simply outstanding pieces of music.

Yaassss! First of my list to make it in. This album is just a joyous nostalgia trip for me. I remember passing my driving test and tearing about in my dads motor blaring this out (on cassette!) at full volume. As you say, it's unashamedly pop, yet I struggle to think of tunes that make me want to dance more.

That orb album is fantastic, was on my shortlist but was cut for another 2 albums from that era. I hope at least one of them makes it.

I'm loving your write ups Colin. Looking forward to seeing what you say about some of my picks.

Hopefully the 90s will dominate. Easily my favourite era of dance music.

Another cracker that didn't make my list. Saw him live in the Glasgow art school in about 2000. It was absolutely mental. When I saw chicane on the list my heart sunk thinking it was all going to be Ibiza/commercial shite. I'm really getting into it now.

I completely forgot about Hebert. Probably wouldn't have made the top ten but just gave Desire a listen on youtube. Cracking tune.

I haven't updated the last few entrants, but it's quite top heavy - I think there were about 10 albums that were getting loads of points, and then it started to spread quite thinly.
If you voted something as your number 1 there's a great chance it'll be featured in some way. (Which means I might need some help getting a wee spiel about some of those choices!).
The total number of albums voted for was quite remarkable though, I'll see how the list pans out and then decide how to present it, just in case we end up with like 10 albums tied for the same place.
I think if you look at the different age groups and the vast number of sub genres available to choose from, there was always going to be a large spread. All my choices were either techno or electro but when you factor in house, trance, hardcore, grime, hip hop, dub etc, there's a massive amount to pick from. A top 10 DJ mix album would be a cracker too, i would have included a few of those had it been allowed.

After browsing the 'Dance Songs' thread earlier I ended up linked to DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ poll results. I haven't paid much attention to such things in the past few years but it's amazing how all these Euro trance-chancers have come to prominence.
[moaning old clubber] The times have truly changed when Armin Van fucking Burrin of all people is regarded as the number one DJ in the world by people who vote in these polls. That c**t's not fit to carry a former poll winner like Sasha's record bag. You kids don't know you're born, back in the day, etc etc [\moaning old clubber].
^^ This, I don't think I've got an Album released after the year 2000 on my list. Pesky kids!

Sent mine in too, struggled a bit due to most of my favourite tracks being 12" singles but still reckon I found 10 decent albums. Ask me again tomorrow and I'll give you a totally different list.

Anybody seen Lawsons twitter? Doesn't look like he's happy, offering his boots for sale.

Even the first one in Inverness that season was only 5,846. And that was on a roasting Saturday in August.
ETA: Which will be the game where we tore them to shreds and comfortably won 3-1.
The portland club was still on the go then, it'll be a sell out now they've not got a big team

Really? The TCS holds 7,918 - I'd have thought you'd be able to get a ticket so long as you got in earlier enough. Especially as the last derby between the two (albeit in the first division) was only attended by 5,411.
Was that the 3-0 in Inverness? It was also played midweek on a champions league night. Probably have an effect on attendance figures.

Not too shabby. I finish at 2 on a friday. I'll have time to get even more pished than usual.

The ignore function! I should have registered a long time ago. I have a feeling my ignore list is going to be pretty lengthy.
Or the "Shite Filter" as it should be known!

Please don't quote him. It renders the highly favourable ignore function redundant and also makes my eyes bleed.

I know "Pete the Jakey" and if previous form is anything to go by then it's very possible he's using an alias or two. EDIT, if it is an alias he's even taken to liking his own posts.

Have we had a Barry Wilson rumour yet?

It's a sad day when there's multiple accounts on OTB. Used to be a really good forum.

Not quite a speyside but have recently been drinking a 1972 Millburn which i'd very similar character wise to a Speyside. Incredible dram, absolutely lovely.

Confirmed that Flynn has joined Falkirk. Good luck to the big fella, he's got a lot of potential and I hope he does well for himself (although Pressley is a c**t).
Does that not mean that we're due compensation?

I've always loved Detroit techno, but I've never really got into Carl Craig, I've always felt like I should like him but for some reason I just don't get it. I've got a massive vinyl collection full of drexcyia, UR, aux 88, Rolando etc, but Carl Craig just seemed to pass me by.
