  1. Bagged one last night against Modena though. 2 Derby wins in 5 days. Superb. Parma now the best side in the league over the last 5 games.
  2. Reggiana 0-2 Parma. Right back in the mix for the title now. Forza Crociati.
  3. No idea, tbh. Pretty cool though. The two evening games tonight were pretty eventful. Watched Lazio beat Fiorentina 3-1. Fiorentina missed a penalty at 2-0 and had a goal disallowed at 2-1. Genoa lead 3-1 against Palermo at one point - who'd won one game all season, only for them to score 2 goals in the final 2 minutes and win 4-3! Palermo off the bottom now, too. Was looking like it might be a dull weekend with just 4 goals in the first 4 games, but 27 were scored in the other 6. Mental. Parma are away to Reggiana tomorrow night in the first Derby dell'Enza for almost 20 years. Parma have sold out an initial allocation of about 2750, but were given a further 500 which will likely sell out as well. Reggiana could go top with a win, whilst a win for Parma would still leave them 6 points adrift. Lose the game and I'd imagine they're out of the running for the title. Didn't post it on here at the time, but Apolloni was given the boot about a month ago after a 4-1 dicking at home to Padova. Nevio Scala is gone as president as well. Stefano Morrone is in charge now, who retired as a player just last year having been with the club since 2007. 1 loss, 2 draws and a win in his 4 games so far. Can only see a comfortable Reggiana win, but looking forward to it anyway.
  4. Mertens 4th goal today: Also loved Papu Gomez's captains armband last night:
  5. Roma deserved a point there IMO. Although Juve could have scored more than the one goal they did.
  6. 2 games in Serie A so far this weekend. Milan drew 0-0 with Atalanta, despite plenty of good chances in the game for either side. Empoli beat Cagliari 2-0 with Cagliari missing a penalty this afternoon. Juve v Roma on in about half an hour.
  7. Napoli 2-0 Inter inside 5 minutes.
  8. 3-2 and Fiorentina well on top. Inter are shitting themselves and Joao Mario just missed a sitter.
  9. 3-1 HT. Fiorentina down to 10 just on half time too.
  10. 3-0 Inter after 19 minutes. Fiorentina are stinking at the back.
  11. Sassuolo nick a 1-1 draw at Napoli, both excellent goals, Sassuolo's especially. Napoli hit the post with about 20 seconds to go, too. Inter V Fiorentina up next.
  12. Candreva with an even better goal. All set up nicely now.
  13. Atalanta were superb in the second half, some run they are on. Plenty of goals across the board so far this weekend, 29 in 9 games and still a Milan derby to come.
  14. Started one save so far as Parma, and got sacked in mid-November with the club in the relegation play-off spots - they ended up getting relegated after I left. Rather than start a new save I thought I'd keep it going and just apply for available jobs and see if anything interesting came up. Applied with Mallorca and Real Zaragoza in the Spanish second tier, but failed to get either. Ended up getting the job with Dynamo Dresden in Bundesliga 2, at the end of February with one aim - avoid automatic relegation. They were sitting second bottom with 10 games to go and only a point off of the team above in 16th and a further point behind the team in 15th. Seemed a challenge but a doable one. First game was against Union Berlin who were the side directly above us. We lost 3-0. Then we lost 3-1 to Karlsruhe. The gap between us and the teams above was now 6 and 7 points. It wasn't looking good. I swapped some players around and just hoped for the best. We won 4 and drew 4 of our final 8 games, keeping 5 clean sheets and stayed up by 3 points. It seemed like I'd made a mistake for the next season though, by keeping faith with the majority of the team that had kept us up. Forgetting they were the reason we were sitting second bottom when I joined to start with - although I had found it difficult to attract players to the club, even on loan, despite having a couple of million to spend plus a decent wage budget to play with. We won 3 and lost 7 of our opening 10 games. I moved from a back 3 to a back 5 and took over full control of training, to see if it would make a difference. One reason we were struggling was a lack of goals. In the previous season since I took over, we only scored more than one goal in two of those ten games. 14 games in to this season, we'd only managed to do it twice again. We aren't conceding many though. We've just had five 0-0 draws in our last 8 games, and have kept 12 clean sheets in 27 league games, whilst having conceded less goals than any other side in the league. But since the change in tactics etc, we've lost two in 17 and are now siting 8th, but only two points off third (promotion play-off place), and 5 off of second, currently occupied by Hannover who we just beat. 7 games to go, and we're in with a real shout of promotion, which is fairly impressive, considering we're not actually very good - it is essentially our good defence that has us where we are, as we're still the second lowest scorers in the league. Thoroughly enjoying it, though. EDIT: As mentioned by others though, injuries are ridiculous. Had 4 key players ruled out for 6 weeks to 3 months, all in the space of 4 days just there.
  15. 4-0 Empoli at FT, mental. Even after the fourth went in with about a minute to go, Pescara could have scored three times.
  16. 2 goals in 11 games for Empoli, 3 in the first half today against Pescara.
