Fucking amazing thread. Always viewed with trepidation after messy night out in The Garage mind.

Yeah fair play to Taylor. Under stacks of pressure but to finish with a 164 sums the man up. Phenomenon.
As for Mardle, I don't mind him usually but he's a pain in the arse when Taylor is on. Trying too hard to be Sid maybe.

I still think that Part needs to lose some weight though. He lost a lot of weight at the end of 2008, but since he lost to Sheperd at the 2010 Worlds he has put it back on, and more.
It must be a hindrance for him on the stage, and I would argue that's partly the reason why he played poorly in both Blackpool and Germany for the Euro's
I didn't know if it was just a change of shirt colour but aye, his boobies were quite impressive tonight.
Great to see him win though, Lewis should have finished it off but Part was never going to throw the towel in. Top lad and hopefully he can have a good run.

Sometimes Anderson will turn up and hit a 105+ average and other times he will be utter stinking and go out of tournaments early he's always been like that and I don't see much changing. People are being too dismissive of him to win a major though he has plenty of time and of course the talent to do it.
He sold his pub to concentrate fully on his darts so I don't think it's a case of him not being bothered with darts or that he doesn't really like it. He just seems to me that he won't let a defeat get to him in the way that it would other people but I think that's just his nature and realises there is more important things in life than arras. It's kind of like when your football team gets beat at the weekend you will have some fans that it will put them in a mood all weekend and others who forget about it after 5 minutes of full time, it doesn't make them any less passionate.
Regarding Huybrechts being a top 16 player he has a long way to go and everyone in the top 64 of the PDC should be aiming for the top 16 such is the talent in depth these days.
Great post. In Scotland we are far too down on our sportsmen. Anderson is obviously a loose cannon but he's a genuinely world class player at his game. We don't have many of that standard and we're too quick to get a kick in when they are down.

Hope Wade wins. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it but I don't like Newton at all. Maybe its his face. Or that his nickname is "The Warrior" and yet he doesn't walk on to Joe Walsh.

Wade is rightly the favourite. Nicholson did well yesterday but how often have we seen a player beat Taylor in a major and then lose the next match?
I fancy Hylton to get to the final.

Will be good to watch some proper tournament darts now that the Premier League is out of the way.
Always an entertaining weekend.

It was absolutely embarrassing to watch! I'll admit to laughing my head off at Lewis getting soaked at the start but when the coins started to fly on you just lost all interest in the match, and so did the players.
A real shame but you can always count on a group of pissed up neds to take things too far

Got all the achievements on Dragon Age: Origins, with the new one coming out next week.
First time I've done this with a game, rather chuffed but also saddened at how much of my life I've spent doing it...

Was a wee bit underwhelmed to begin with but a few episodes down the line and enjoying it.
van Alden has the potential to become a ludicrously creepy character.

Anderson has been amazing again. Great match so far.

He's toiling big time.
This match will be of real encouragement to guys like Whitlock, Wade, van Barneveld.

Anyone here play/know any 5 a-side leagues that I can maybe get a few of the boys together to join? If so then how do you go about entering a team? Looking for a league that plays midweek if possible.
Currently play up at Townhead in Glasgow but the only league spots they have are at the weekend and a lot of the boys play for teams then.
Any help would be smashing!
Cheers
Me and a few mates just joined a Thursday night league at Goals in Shawlands a few weeks ago, but not sure if there still looking for teams. Maybe worth getting in touch?

A wee mini-revival from Klaasen to bring it back to 15-8, but nae danger in the end for the Wizard. Through he is.

10-5 Whitlock at the break, and Klaasen's momentum has gone. His checkouts at the start were unreal but you have to fancy The Wizard now.

Steve Beaton is so fucking cool. Another quality evening of top tungsten tension. I've missed it

If you took your feline friend to London, he could be a fat cat in the city, and all the socialists could have a good green eye session.
Only you could take the fun out of stories about morbidally obese felines...

Good the crowd have been a bit more "respectful" this week. Don't understand what King has done to merit the ridiculous abuse in recent weeks or what drives people who go just to boo all night. King in the sombrero was truly ludicrous however.

Komodo vs. Cobra, on "Syfy" the other night when I couldn't sleep.
10/10, of course.

Fiver says his Granny named him.
He stabbed his granny?

Good night of darts tonight.
As an aside, how cool is Mervyn King's dad?
