As well as Whitlock played throughout the tournament, it was massively disappointing to see him happy to finish second.
First lesson he needs to learn if he's going to win the Championship.

He'll be ecstatic to get that far because of the ridiculous draw he came through to make it. Jenkins? Wade? van Barneveld? Unbelievable. He'll come back next year, and have loftier ambitions.

I'm not a fan of Taylor but you just have to admire what he does.
That's three or four times now where Whitlock has been sitting on a double after some stunning darts but Taylor's pulled out a giant finish. How?

I agree. Whitlock has been in excellent form throughout the tournament, and I'd say that the fact he knocked out Jenkins, Wade, Osborne and van Barneveld shows just how much he deserves his spot in the final.
Whitlock was the better player last night as well and even though Barney raised his game from his previous couple of matches he deserved to crash out.

Still not sure why they've decided to bring back the 3rd/4th play-off ... it all seems a little, well, pointless.

Barney's body language as he walks on for this doesn't give me great hope. Hope he tries his best and helps make it a good match but I've got my doubts.

Whitlock last night was amazing, what a match it was. He held his nerve when most players bottle would have crashed, just fantastic. Still can't see him giving Taylor a close match tonight I'm afraid. Hope he can get a couple of sets at least to keep it vaguely interesting.

Taylor is just too good.
Its good to watch a high standard of darts but the sport needs someone to seriously challenge him. Maybe Whitlock could in the final but I'm not holding my breath.
