  1. Very good opener for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offence. The level of penalties is as ridiculous as ever but hopefully get that tidied up for next week. Atlanta looked BAD. Pretty tough opening schedule for the Eagles so it was really important to get a win today.

Odd thing to say in week 1 but new punter looks the business!

  2. Almost forgot about it, only realised after the game on Thursday night kicked off. No major damage done so in for more punishment this year.

The new layout is absolutely awful, is there any way to go back to the old layout at all?

Also noted a distinct lack of imagination with the team names this year, highly disappointing.

  3. Surprised Webb failed to last a round against Wardley, had that down as a decent scrap.

Babic was as billed though will definitely get found out soon. They mentioned potentially fighting Takam next, don't see him getting through a fight like that yet although Takam is getting on a bit.

Not a big fan of Galahad but expect him to grind out a win. Rumours of him being pretty weight drained so may get scrappy in the later rounds

  4. I gave BJS three rounds on the bounce and the rest to Canelo. Strongly suspect the finish would have come in the next regardless of the eye. Eye must be bad for him to quit on the stool.

  5. I don't pay much attention to boxing but saw Saunders doing an interview there where he continually told the interviewer his breath smelled like shit before answering every question. Really embarrassing and shows him as a complete arsehole. I hope he loses badly.
Nothing new for BJS, he is a complete tool.
  6. Thought the Parker fight could have gone either way, I had it very similar to the Sky guys. Didn't think Chisora did enough to win any of the last 5 rounds.

One thing is for sure, having watched most of his fights since the Hughie Fury fight, there is no way that Parker is anywhere close to good enough to win a world title again, unless he flukes a shot at a surrendered belt.

Had Taylor by 2 in the girls fight, great fight though - enjoyed it.

Hopefully we get the big fight confirmed in the next week or so, if it drags out any longer you'd need to seriously question the chances of it happening this year.

  7. Opening day is brilliant.
Watching the Phillies and Braves go to extra innings with this nonsense man starting on second base rule is rubbish. The DRS of baseball.
Must admit I don't have a problem with this rule at all. I do, however, have major issues with the three batter rule and I'm not fond of the 7 inning double headers either.

I was originally completely against the NL DH until last year when my position changed completely. Now pitchers are hitting again I'm back to square one - the tactical aspect and having pitchers that can handle the bat really does make a difference and keeps things interesting.
  8. Reason number 242 to dislike the Scottish golf app. Yesterday I played in a 9 hole stableford competition using the app to keep score. In very testing conditions I played well but didn’t score well (not helped by two 3 putts and a lost ball) and I was expecting to awake this morning to see my handicap deservedly increased. Not only has my handicap not changed but the round hasn’t been registered. I asked my 2 playing partners if they had experienced the same issue, which they have not. Their rounds has been registered and counted towards their handicap index.  Has anyone on here experienced an issue like this?
Haven't had that but the app is extremely temperamental. Certainly 2 of the 3 competitions I played in March we had to submit on cards due to the app crashing midway through.

What is the feedback at your club with the new handicap system? Doesn't seem to be very well received by most of my group.
  9. Credit where it's due, further improvement from Okolie - he's come a long way from where he was only three fights ago.

Controlled the whole fight from start to finish, wasn't really a contest at any stage. Glowacki did look completely finished but, to be fair, Okolie didn't let him into the fight at all.

  10. Lee isn't far from earning a world title shot, he's done very well to climb the ladder so quickly and I don't think taking on a risky fight with very little rewards is a good idea at this stage. The Farooq rematch will always be there and given that Farooq's reputation will only grow from now (assuming they can get him properly active again) then I'd be in no rush to arrange the rematch.

As for tonight, I say I'm not watching Okolie again after every fight but he was much improved last time out and having heard a very frank and honest interview from Shane McGuigan during the week I'm pretty intrigued to see how he fairs against a credible opponent. There is alot to be said for inactivity but if Glowacki is in good shape and is coming to win then it should be a very tough fight. The bookies have Okolie at 1/5, can't believe he's so short given it wouldn't really be a surprise if Glowacki won - surely?

  11. I'm a support worker and one of my new clients is a chap of around 80 who loves Neighbours. I haven't seen it since about 1988. Amazed to see so many of the cast from that era still in it. Clive the doctor, Melanie with the weird laugh, Des from Daphne and Des, Paul Robinson and most sadly of all, Plain Jane Superbrain. The years have not been kind.

Not sure why they brought back so many from that era. Clive is a decent supporting character (I'm just glad Dr Karl is no longer the only doctor at the hospital, he's not as young as he used to be) but Jane is pointless, Des is even more pointless (thankfully only makes fleeting appearances) and I can't for the life of me comprehend the point of Melanie.

The script writing is as bad as ever but I still can't help watching every day.
  12. Kelly started well but Ava had a game plan to get past the fast start, up the pressure and grow into the fight. It worked about as well as he could have expected. A few rounds too early for my bet but a good win. Looks like Kelly may need to go up in weight, either that or he just has no engine to have a successful career in boxing.

Having heard Davies jr interview before the fight I thought there was a good chance he would lose. Wasn't remotely surprised by that at all.

Marku looked decent enough, probably caught with too many shots but reasonable performance. Actually thought his knockdown was at least partially due to a tangle of legs and he was a bit unfortunate. If Kelly stays at welter you wonder if there is a fight to be made there, albeit probably a bit of a risk for Kelly.
