  1. Coles overselling the Demon and the Demon ain’t selling at all. Wasn’t a good start to the match.

Cudos to them for the rest though. Those high spots wouldn’t be for the feint hearted after someone’s injured the match before…

ETA, wasn’t keen on the finish.

I reckon they might try to beat honky tonk Man's record first.

The idea of Honky Tonk Man being sold to this generation of fans will be good for a laugh. Massive riddy for the rest of us, mind you.

  3. If anyone is looking for an advanced forward for SPL teams, have a look at Gilson Benchimol.

I loaned him into St.Mirren with an option to buy for 500k.

Never watched an entire episode but had the misfortune of seeing bits of it if I have been in other folks houses when it's on.

The funniest thing about it is the moronic judging panel and their laughable predictions - "Oh, is it Elton John?/ That sounds like it could be Alecia Keyes". Aye it's definitely going to be massive music stars as opposed to the usual bottom of the barrel D list celebrities that keep these shitty shows going. Fannies.

I feel sorry for some of them…a little bit.

You honestly think wossi wouldn’t rather be sitting on his own show, relaxing, interviewing heavyweight boxers on his couch rather than clapping along to Christopher Dean singing Mr. Brightside in a dickhead costume from the Chinese Disney world?

Giving him a quick look at the moment - more I see of him, the more I see why he makes sense at 6 instead of CB.

    - Played there during NYCFC's postseason run, which is probably when we were impressed with him.

    - Seems capable but inconsistent in the air, which he'll get away with at 6 but won't at CB

    - Is quite good at making himself available to receive the pass from the CB then passing it first time, either left or right - has two good feet.

    - Looks to be quite quick over five or ten yards - useful for a CB, but vital for a 6. Does a nice job of filling in spaces.

I've only really watched his actions from the MLS Cup Final vs Portland and a few other bits, so it's not really enough to make any definitive statements, but he just looks like quite a solid, capable player with not many flaws. Which explains his versatility - I think you can plug him into a couple of different positions in different systems and still get solid performances out of him. Nice squad player to have.

  6. Naturally disappointing to see a young talent like him leave. From a progression perspective, this could be a good move for him. If he received the same amount of playing time I’m the 2nd half of the season as he did in the first, he could quickly stagnate. It’s probably the best time to sell.

I predict that Rangers will reinvest part of the fee into a position where they anticipate losing a first team player in the summer. It’s almost inevitable regardless of qualification to the group stages of the Champions League.

  7. If you want to progress to the next round, obviously Borrusia Dortmund isn’t the draw any rational Rangers fan wanted.

Saying that, there are some positives.
This year is shaping up to be the closest league campaign in over a decade after Celtic’s dominance and Rangers having it all but wrapped up this time last season. Both top 2 teams with relatively new managers, frailties in defence & in squad depth.

In a season where there’s so many variables for who will win the league, (COVID being an unwelcome one), the one certainty is that the league champions gain automatic entry to the Champions League group stages. If that is Rangers, it’s almost certain that they will be 4th seeds or 3rd at best. Inevitably, you’re going to draw at least 1 team the size and quality of Dortmund in the group.

This tie is almost a free hit for Rangers. They’ll be able to get a taste of a cracking atmosphere both home & away (restrictions permitting). It’s a great prelude to what Rangers will hope to be a part of next year.

  8. Love this thread every year.

Currently doing a St. Mirren game wherein Ive kept Lewis Morgan and secured him until 2022. Long term is that I will sell him but apart from a %15 of whatever he goes for goes to the player, it'll be a nice fee. The problem is that I don't play with wingers, so he's having to settle as either an attacking midfielder or a wing back. The signings i've made have broadly been successful. Im sitting 4th after 28 games in the SPL after my league winning season in the 1st year. Kalvin Phillips became available on the cheap and I pounced. Gavin Reilly is a goalscoring machine for me also.

I thought that NotThePars had requoted my attempt to correct your original post.

If that is what he meant, then the above is not an answer to it.

I guess we won't know until a poll asking if an independence referendum within the next 2 years would be more favourable then. When I seen the poll my honest interpretation of it was 'do we want one or not'.

@ballymoneyyin did you reply to this?

"I am determined that Scotland will have the ability to reconsider the question of independence and to do so before the UK leaves the EU - if that is necessary to protect our country's interests."

Article 50 is to be triggered in March of 2017.
