I did a personal Nigel count, after being baffled by this reference. Turns out I know a few.ย  Primary school teacher/hippy, tough lad from the North End of Birkenhead, mate from the South West and two Sales guys.ย  In plain site and all that.ย  Obviously, XTC is the top Nigel reference.ย  As for Adam Wharton, standard practice.

Iโ€™ve been calling Englishmen Nigels for years. In my head every Englishman is called Nigel

Anthony Gordon is literally making an EPL career out of initiating contact in the box and conning penalties from their moron referees too.ย

Englandโ€™s whole gimmick under Southgate is to play for fouls in and around the box so Kane can stat pad and Maguire/Stones can throw themselves at free kicks fired into the box.

Theyโ€™re going to get an inordinate amount of free kicks tomorrow against Serbia.

Aw shite, I've just listened to Caledonia, Dignity & Dry The Rain in quick succession. Now I need to start drinking & it's too early.

God I forgot about Dry The Rain. Going to stick in on now.

Not disagreeing but if he is contractually entitled to X number of weeks off in the closed season, like the players then he is doing what is permitted. As for any statement other than advising the direction of playing staff and recruitment its not for him to appear and comment on the cluster f**k that others have created by employing him.

I know, but I'm fairly sure historically we would've heard from our managers 4 weeks before our first competitive game.ย  I'm optimistically taking the fact that we haven't heard from Ferguson at all as a positive.

Those season ticket prices seem wild for League 1 football although I understand the financial pressures that they're currently facing.

ยฃ70 cheaper for an over 65 to watch Premiership football in The Jailend than the North Stand in Inverness. The Jailend is only ยฃ10 dearer than the North Stand for an adult to watch football two divisions above.

Yeah, but your club could charge a fiver for season tickets as long as Global Energy run the show and it wouldn't make an iota of difference to County.

The exact same thing is happening in Inverness right now with businesses outraged that most cars are going to be barred from Academy Street when it is redeveloped, despite there currently being no parking on that street and two large multistorey car parks being less than 5 mins walk away.

For anyone unfamiliar with Academy Street, it is currently a gridlocked dump, with some of the highest exhaust emission readings in Scotland.

A simple re-calibration of the traffic lights would significantly reduce those readings IMO.
