  1. Think his deal was up. Imagine he would have wanted to stay with us long as poss as it's down hill from here for him Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  2. Liking your thinking He would certainly be capable of emergency cover in the sticks similar to a certain Paul Mathers who is apparently still registered to play for St Mirren. Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  3. You don't think a player who has been playing consistently for a top 4/5 team for last 5 years could go straight into our team? Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  4. Yeah but the likelihood is we will be having a clear out in the summer and will need defensive cover and as I said earlier signing some like him is almost like signing two players due to him being able to play in a number of positions. He has been a consistent performer for years and doesn't seem to be to injury prone. Everyone has differing opinions but I think he would be a decent enough signing if the money was right. Are we realistically going to be challenging them next year? I think we are still maybe a couple of seasons away from pushing into 4/5 position. Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  5. I agree if the wage was right I think he could be a very shrewd signing. Can play in number of positions and appears to be a decent leader and has bags of experience. Don't think he is a rabid Arab iirc he applauded the dundee fans after the league cup game in September. Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  6. Does schenks contract not expire we end of month Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  7. Fair enough As I said as long as the wages aren't ridiculous I think he is a good signing. We have all stated throughout the season that we need more cover at the back. I suppose a lot would depend on what happens with dyer, irvine and the Bulgarian at the end of the season but having someone as versatile as Dillon is almost like having two players due to the number of positions he can cover. And while I know more often than not that he has played rb and filled in at ch/lb at times. He has been a consistent member of a team regularly finishing in the top half of the table. 8. I think he is certainly more consistent than Konrad and could argue he is more consistent than McPake. I certainly think if the wages aren't ridiculous he could certainly add to our squad considering he can play anywhere across the back four or in midfield if required. I like Cammy Kerr but think it is far to early to say if he has the potential to make it at this level and while I thought McGinn has a good start to the season he has been very poor in recent games he has been involved in. Dillon would add much needed experience to our defence. Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  9. He probably is but at his age and the fact the op said he wants to remain in the city I would imagine might be willing to reduce wages Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  10. End of the day he is still a decent player who is very experienced at this level. And can he not play anywhere across the back four?. Couldn't care less if he has played for united he could add something to our squad. Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  11. Certainly think Dillon would do a job for us for a year and also seems like a decent enough guy Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  12. No I know this but let's not pretend that Davidson has suddenly transformed our team and is the reason for our upturn in fortunes. I think McGowans return had much more to do with that. Think there was a comparison earlier between Davidson and McPake win/loss records this year. And obviously they compare more in Davidsons favour due to the fact he has only played a handful of games and the majority of those being against the weaker sides in the league. I know we have also lost to weaker teams without Davidson. I have nothing against him I just simply think he is a very limited player who is not good enough for this level and if he plays for a prolonged period I think he will become a liability particularly against the better sides. I have no issue with him being a squad player as he can come In now and again and do a job but if we are looking to progress in this league I don't think he should be a consistent starter in our side. 13. What's that got to do with Davidson points/games ratio Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  14. Davidson has been in winning sides this year because barring Aberdeen he had played against the poorer sides. That will change very quickly if he is in the team the next 5 or 6 weeks Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  15. Davidson has done ok but apart from Aberdeen he has only played centre half against the weakest sides in league. He is ok to come in now and again but he would struggle with a prolonged run in team especially against stronger sides. He just isn't good enough for this level. 16. Boyd has scored 2 in 18 league games this year so hardly prolific. Hoping we don't sign sick of dens being a graveyard for over paid has beens Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  17. Wouldn't surprise me Another has been looking for one last deal and we would be stupid enough to give him one Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  18. They were training at Riverside at Dundee uni pitches I think Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  19. Hopefully it ain't that boy because if it is Hartley needs his fucking head tested. We do not need anymore strikers. He needs to get a no nonsense hammer throwing centre half signed up pronto. Konrad needs dropping, every week that goes by he becomes more and more of a liability. Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  20. Won't be a popular opinion on here but think Hartley was right to loan out Wighton. He wasn't getting enough opportunities in the first team and exposure to first team football will aid his development. I do feel though that certain sections of our support are bigging this boy up way to much and it will do him good to get some game time away from the expectation of the dundee team. He has great potential but that's all it is at the moment. He did play well against Thistle but couple of other games when he came on he was easily pushed off the ball and seemed to dwell on the ball a few times. He clearly has a lot of developing to do as any 17 year old does and think we will see a big improvement in him if he can get a run in the Brechin side. The boy clearly has bags of ability as development games have shown but he has a lot of learning to do in terms of first team competitive football and a dundee side first season back in premier league going through a rough patch probably isn't the best place to do it. 21. Any ideas what he was doing to be lifted in the first place Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  22. That is possibly a good shout help him get his confidence back
  23. Shame for Peaso was really impressed how he led the line against celtic luckily it's an area we have half decent depth
  24. Should boyle be given a start after playing well and causing problems when he came on sat or is he more effective coming off bench
  25. I agree with you on Ferry also think he works very hard and always shows for the ball.
