  1. It's only fair that Canning gets credit as well as the players for keeping us up. Annan was hard to forgive. Celtic? Well, this season has also seen Celtic 6 Dundee 0 and Celtic 7 Motherwell 0. These results happen, at least we redeemed ourselves in the next meeting.

Next season could be horrible but it would be more bearable if we were playing some of the young lads rather than foreign duds like Diaby. But the knives will still be out for Canning with every defeat as Alex Neil would never have lost that match (and I'm someone who shouted for him to go at the Well game when he inexplicably left Brophy on the bench). Still, Norwich fans will tell you that Neil has had some baffling team selections this season too.

  2. The remark earlier "no one forced them to crush the fans" is one I've heard whenever this topic has come up since 1989. It just staggers me. Is it so difficult to put yourself in that position? To imagine being swept along by a crowd, desperate to get in in time for kick off? Many will have been there for two years running. It wouldn't have entered their heads that, once inside it would be carnage.

  3. Some very ignorant views around page 100. I hope they were watching last night's definitive documentary.

The fans, whether they'd had six pints or were stone cold sober, whether they arrived late or were in place at half one, had every right to expect that there would be enough room for everybody to be accommodated. That the much smaller Forest support should be given the larger end was a huge error, even allowing for the local geography explanation.

Duckenfield, if he hadn't frozen, should have insisted the kick off be delayed and ordered his men to block off the tunnel entrance. Motson noticed the room on either side about 2.45.

  4. The actual reason I took interest in sevco was because of how it will benefit Accies in the top flight. Dress it up however you want but Accies will be better off with Sevco in the league than without.

Aye sure whatever. When Wings exposed your bile I checked your twitter and your "Rangers" obsession was clear. Funnily enough no mention of the club where you get a freebie season ticket.
  5. On my journey to and from Kilmarnock, about 40 minutes drive, there was not one word on the game I was going to watch/had just watched. Just as I pulled into my driveway, Off the Ball were about to go to Chick for comments on the game. Stuck on channel 0116 on the tv only to find it was rugby on that frequency. Quite an achievement for them.

  6. He's a fantastic shot stopper but shy when it comes to coming off his line. His tiny frame might be an issue too. For all that though he was and still is well loved by Accies fans. If we lose McGovern it was Cerny the majority of us wanted. Good signing!

Got to disagree. I thought he was excellent on crosses. Some fans expect their keeper to get every ball thrown into the six yard box. He's a decent height too, he maybe looked wee next to a man mountain like Mark McLaughlin. I always say Cerny was never glaringly at fault for a single goal during his time with Accies. Sure, he maybe could have done better with a few but he never chucked one in. And he was kept very busy! If McGovern goes, I'm very jealous but big Michael is easily as good.

  7. Only having read the three above comments, my take is that Inverness just about deserved it but Falkirk take great credit for their second half performance. Collum was poor but called the big decisions correctly. The lino at the Falkirk end got a couple of things wrong but goal was a good one. No penalty. A foot outside the box and no intent. Wouldn't blame McDonald for the first, he had to come out as the guy was in (great pass) but obviously a nightmare for him for the winner. Always liked that keeper and felt that he was more deserving of a national call up than the likes of Fox and Bell. Couldn't have picked out James Vincent in a line up before yesterday but that was an amazing run from him. Must admit seeing Falkirk winning would have rankled after we owned them last season but one good thing would have been the winning side being full of Scots, mostly young ones. For all that Inverness deserve a lot of praise, only having three Scots in your starting line up is a bit poor. As if their fans care, eh?
