  1. He was never our captain tbf but this is a really big move for Grant and hopefully the change of scenery will do him some good it was really sad to see just how much he had regressed last season. Before his injury he was as dominant a centre back as you could get at this level and I’d imagine was destined for a move away that summer but since he came back he’s not been close to the same player. His distribution from the back has always been horrific though. You should never ask him to pass the ball out from the back. But he seems like a throughly nice guy, gives his all and he’s got a cracking smile. And of course he’s a massive upgrade on that fat c**t Gasparotto.
  2. Willo Flood and Ross Forbes already signed up on 2 year contracts to line up alongside James Craigen and Alex Harris in midfield. The c***s moaning about the lack of signings so far, it’s still the start of June ffs, just need to remember what kind of utter shite would already be signed up if Houstie was still here. In Don Paul we trust.
  3. Cammy Bell is a good championship ‘keeper. Is he good enough to be a first choice in the Preeemiership? Naw. Is he better than Robbie Thomson? Aye. With Hartley using the examples of Samson and Alexander the other night it does look like he’s looking for an experienced ‘keeper at this level and whilst I still hope we can get someone better in we could certainly do far worse.
  4. Some c**t asked as well why the new strip was being released so late. I ken Kieran Cozary was somewhere in the background and he did step up to answer but honestly to ask your first team manager about that sort of trivial pish.
  5. Agree that Hartley spoke really well tonight and he managed to answer the Loy/Harris questions really well. Obviously he was never going to come out and say he wanted rid of them but that he’ll sit down with them in a few weeks to discuss what’s best for them and for us. Looks like he’ll try and punt both. Also talking about having a meeting set up with Jakubiak and his agent next week. Also came out and said that he wants him back and the player wants to come back as well so unless Watford have got other plans for him looks more likely than not he’ll be back. He also beautifully dealt with the absolute mouth breather trying to dig him out for the comments he made during his first press conference about aiming for the play offs. That auld c**t going on and on about the set pieces though holy shit.
  6. I think I can remember him playing there for a good few games right when he was first breaking through in the first-team so that would’ve been season 2010/11. For some reason I can remember him playing and scoring from there away to Patrick Thistle in a midweek game. I’d play wide left for most of the 2012/13 season and always thought he played well there. As has been pointed out however he’s definitely never a full-back.
  7. Kevin O’Haras fault imo. Aye quite like that from Hartley. Doesn’t want to keep a player at the club if they don’t want to be here. Just hoping that Harris is no wanting to stay for a final year.
  8. Obviously we would all like to keep Sibbs but if he wishes to move on then absolutely fair play to him he owes the club nothing. He’s played almost 300 games for the club over the last 7 years and he’s perfectly entitled to go looking for more money for himself if that is indeed what is happening here.
  9. It was MK Dons Neilson went to but apart from that aye you’re spot on. No chance you can call Neilson a failure at Hearts. Shepps obviously just shitting himself at the prospect of double sessions.
  10. I genuinely can’t think of Durnan ever playing right-back. Sam Stanton is a cracking player so he definitely would. Scott Fraser is fucking shite however.
  11. With McKee there is definitely talent there and we have seen flashes of it during his time here. He’s got a decent strike on him and when he wants can make good driving runs from the middle of the park. However he is such a massive shitebag. He doesn’t make a tackle and his pressing game is non existent. Through the season he’s changed from a box to box midfielder to a plodding central midfielder that stays behind the ball and plays 6 yard passes. If he could get back to the player we saw at the end of last season and the cup games then I’d definitely be up for keeping him but the player we’ve seen for the vast majority of the season should be punted as soon as possible.
  12. The thought of us potentially having a midfield containing Harris, McKee and Welsh next season is giving me the absolute fear.
  13. Praying that the midfielder is Sean Welsh tbh.
  14. Scott Shepherd [emoji23]. He’s fucking shite and will never be good enough.
  15. Bet he couldn’t sign that 2 year contract quick enough last year. Horrendous piece of business from Houston and let’s just hope we don’t have to see him in a Falkirk too again. Alex Harris - Juniors
  16. Robbie Mutch Cameron Blues Luca Gasparotto Paul Watson Tony Gallacher James Craigen Mark Kerr Sean Welsh Alex Harris Rory Loy Scott Shepherd The fucking state of that btw. This season really can’t finish quickly enough. Garbage.
  17. I actually think completely the opposite here. Defensively there’s not a lot between Watson, Muirhead and Grant. They’re all capable of putting together a decent run of games but equally having complete howlers. However because Muirhead can cover at right-back and his fantastic penalties makes him a much better option to keep.
  18. Jordan McGhee and Tom Taiwo are the only 2 that deserve any credit for the first half of the season. As for the second half you can add Louis Longridge, Craig Sibbald and Alex Jakubiak into the mix. I’d probably just edge it to Jordan McGhee. f**k knows just how awful our defence would’ve been without him this season.
  19. Aye that’s how I’d go as well. Harsh to drop Jakubiak however Nelsons work-rate will be needed up top and as poor as he’s been recently you can’t drop Longridge his ability to take the ball under pressure could be vital at times. Also really fancy that midfield 3 to do the business and go and dominate. However Morelos and Cummings especially against our defence does give me the fear.
  20. Jason Lee, Colin McMenamin, Davide Xausa, Derek Colquhoun, Andy Rogers and Ian Macsween were our striking option for that Ochilview season. Quite possibly the worst set of strikers we’ve ever assembled. Grim. Though to be fair to Jason Lee 8 in 29 games for a target man asked to try and play football wasn’t too bad a record. We also had Danny McBreen in that promotion season. From that first lot of shite to him, Pedro, Andy Thomson and Darryl Duffy quite a turnaround. Duffy really should’ve made more with his career he was class in his 18 months with us. If he’d have stayed with us for the full first season in the SPL he’d have got at least 20 league goals imo. We were absolutely fantastic that season. That was when it all clicked for Pedro and there were games where he was genuinely unplayable. That season was probably the best under Yogi imo. We had Latapy playing a bit part role and our midfield 3 of Thomson, Cregg and Arfield were brilliant together and we also had Arnaua in there as well. I actually think the departure of Steven Thomson and replacing him with Kevin McBride in the January was where it all started going wrong. We only won 4 league games after that.
  21. Whilst I completely agree with the second paragraph, Ibrox as an away fan is fucking grim, it could’ve been a lot tougher. Celtic, Aberdeen, Killie and Hearts would all have been tougher draws at the moment imo. Whilst we still will more than likely get beat and Cummings will definitely score as usual with our defence being shite. However I fancy us to cause them problems and really think our midfield 3 can go and dominate, really looking forward to Tom Taiwo absolutely bodying whatever jobbers they have got in midfield these days.
  22. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/john-hughes-reveals-would-manage-11995346 Yogi touting himself for the Scotland job. The c**t is absolutely deluded. Particularly enjoyed this comment. In addition to the money he spent in charge of us he bought Anthony Stokes for £500k at Hibs.
