Pretty sure Rhys stated in a DTV interview that it would be around 8 weeks and no doubt he'll need phased back gradually so it's unlikely we'll get 90 mins from him pre-xmas. A very important player but even more important we don't rush him back to early.

I hope his return does spark Justin back to what he showed at the start of the season as there is no doubt his performances have dropped considerably.

He should be back for the Falkirk game.

One thing I thought when watching the game yesterday is that for all his faults, we perhaps miss an Agnew type player in midfield. We seem to play every game like we’re 3-0 up and need to score five to win the league which leaves us ridiculously open all the time. The main difference in personnel and style to last season is the lack of someone who literally just sits in front of the defence, recycles possession and doesn’t move beyond the halfway line. Yesterday looked like more of a 2 with Telfer and McMaster but even when McCabe is playing as the holding midfielder he’s a bit more aggressive. If we’re going to have the full backs bombing down the wings and so many attacking players going forward, sometimes having someone who just sits and keeps things in check isn’t a bad thing.

Most folk I spoke to after the game were of a similar opinion. We keep shuffling the back line but our problems are further forward. We've got a load of good attacking options but lack a defensive midfielder. Teams are getting a free run on our defence. We need someone in the middle of the park to break up play.

You could make some team out of that lot. Eoghan Stokes and Patrick Pyott, what a strikeforce!

To be honest, there aren’t many names on there that seem realistic that I’d want, although admittedly I don’t know too much about the non-Scottish guys from the Championship clubs. For positions that we’re looking to strengthen, Dunfermline seem keen on Robbie Crawford and Jamie Hamilton has signed for Hamilton again. Other than the long running Charlie Telfer saga and Leon Jones, who McCabe presumably doesn’t fancy, not much else jumps out as being great signings. I’m expecting another couple of young players on loan and maybe a permanent signing too but I do think it’ll mostly be younger players who will fit into our high energy, pressing team.

I think you're right but I do worry about the depth of squad in defence. Through suspensions and injuries it's not that uncommon for teams to have 3 or 4 defenders missing at the same time, I just don't know how we would cope in that sort of situation.

Last season in defence we started with Fordyce, Watson, Kerr, Lyons, Walker, Quitongo and Wardrop. With the likes of McCabe, McGill, Ritchie and MacDonald who could cover. We still had problems.

Other than McCabe there's not really anybody further forward that sticks out as being able to cover at the back if needed.

We're really relying on our defence to stay injury and suspension free.

What is the script with the KKK incident in 2006? Was it in reference to something? Really struggling to wrap my head around something so blatantly offensive and racist at a Scottish League One football match.

A really stupid joke that went badly wrong.

There had been a fancy dress party the night before and some of the folk decided to wear their costumes on the bus down to Gretna the next day. A few folk were dressed as KKK. A couple of them were white and one was coloured.

There had been a few photos taken before the game. Including some Asian tourists, a wedding party etc.. The cops were laughing with the coloured lad wearing the costume but told them not to wear the costumes to the game.

The Daily Star got a hold of a photo of some other lads wearing the masks on the bus and then made up some story about the folk wearing the costumes at the game to target some coloured lad who was on the bench from Gretna.

It was stupid but they didn't do what the Daily Star claimed.

Looking like it's going to be a decent day on Saturday. Any suggestions for a pub with outdoor seating/beer garden? Preferably near White Sands Bus Stance.

Coach and Horses and/or New Bazaar are both on the Sands and normally have outdoor seating. The Bazaar is generally a "Queens Bar" so I'd imagine there will be a few fans in for a drink as well. There is a pub at the bottom of the Vennel called Riverside Tap which has a decent beer garden. It is pricey though but if you like your craft beer it's probably worth a drink or two.

    Thanks a lot 👍
