Sorry maybe I haven't worded it well but as far as I'm aware it's only the forward coming on loan from West Ham .

CB Diamond won't like the ITK patter but we have 2 more players to come in. The previously mentioned forward from West Ham. He's apparently big and fast. He'll be at the club in September. The other player is a left sided midfielder who can also play at full back.

I don't get the team full of youngsters with minimum experience. We've kept the nucleus of the team that were challenging for the title last season. Nearly all the regulars from last season are still there. Obviously Miller & Smith are gone and to a lesser extent the likes of Roberts & Weddburn who drifted in and out of the side. The rest of the guys who we've got rid off only played a handful of games. You could nearly put out a full team who played 20+ games last season. Fair enough we've brought in a number of young (and hopefully promising) players but there is only a couple of positions to fill. Anyone else that gets a game on top of that is because they've displaced a regular from last season.

Although on paper its a squad of 21 a few of them are young players you wouldn't expect to be getting much game time. I wouldn't be surprised if at least couple of them were sent out on loan for a bit of experience.

Also Justin Fashanu, Allen McKnight and Tony Weldon. Frank MacAvenie played a couple of friendlies for Airdrie under MacDonald. There has been a couple of others but I can't remember who.

I’ve heard rumours from a couple of folk saying we’re taking a forward on loan from West Ham. The rumour mill seem to have been pretty spot on with our signings so far.

lol Scott has always followed Airdrie. I know him from getting buses to games, going back 20+years.

My mate who no longer posts on here sent this: "I am off P+B and never using it again The guy asking about Sammy Conn... he was signed as a left sided box to box midfielder but he filled in at left back regularly. In his last year with us he performed well as a makeshift centrehalf or striker!"

I was a youngster during his years at the club so maybe someone a bit older might correct me on this but I don't really remember him having a specific position for us. He seemed to get shuffled about to different positions depending on who we were playing. Can remember him in midfield but played up front in some big games and even filled in defence on the odd ocassion. Definitely would describe him as hard. Would probably add a bit of a nutter at times as well. Haha Had a fair few suspensions.

Might have been me. I've had a couple of West Ham & Airdrie flags over the years. Usually had to replace them after a few too many beers on my travels and they've been left somewhere random. Most folk usually remember meeting me by my mixed up accent, which apparently sounds English/Scottish/South African/Aussie. lol There are quite a lot of Airdrie fans who follow West Ham. Think for a number of the older ones it goes back to the Sandy Clark transfer and subsequent friendly between the clubs.

Whatever anyone think of Harry, he's a character. I don’t know how much involvement he’d actually have in the day to day stuff but his mere involvement raises the Clubs profile and should add some entertainment. I’m not sure if it’s Mark or Willie McKay that’s supposed to be involved. But either way they have no shortage of talent on their books. If they’re using us as a way to showcase they’re new prospects to sell on you’d expect/hope it would be a better quality of player coming to the Club. P.S. don’t know if anyone noticed on the Airdrieonians Facebook page Mark McKay joined the other week.

Papers don’t always ask the right questions. Everyone has a price but apparently the Board are really enjoying running the Club. They’re ambitious and see us getting back into the top tier within the next few years. As such wouldn’t be looking to give up control of the Club. Redknapp & McKay might not be looking to buy the Club but doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t different deal to be done. I think there will be a few more twists and turns in this story.

Airdrie Community Trust is the one affiliated to the Club. Diamonds in the Community is made up folk who were part of the old Supporters Trust. I think the Supporters Trust is still running as well but with a different committee? Both the ACT & DITC have fans on the committees. Just disappointing it's all came to this. A club our size and we've got all these factions.

The Podcast was an interesting listen. I wonder how many people signed up for the 1924 Club.

I get the feeling it's all about confidence with Ally Roy. He started off well enough putting in some decent performances and scoring a few goals. Then he missed the penatly up at Montrose and his season just seem to fall apart apart.
