Pantheon is cool. Don't bother queueing on the right with the idiots, go left and book a ticket with the machines and you'll get in straight away.

Or you could just do what we did and wander straight in off the street without paying anyone

I genuinely thought it was free, maybe it was that day!?, maybe Interpol are after us!?

  2. I got Revolut and Zing accounts but I've only transferred into the Revolut one so far as it seemed the easier App to use at first glance - the exchange rate keeps improving so I'm hanging on before buying some Euros

    Thanks for all the feedback

Stating the obvious but the bookies don't want us to win. They'll do anything to put the spanner in the works.

A few years ago I was on a run of winning £10k (Ladbrokes, I think). All of a sudden they closed my account. When I asked for an explanation, they cited that it was "for my own good".*

They're fine with taking our money, but they act all twitchy when the tables are turned.

Now I alternate between 12 sportsbooks. It tends not to grow suspicion and keeps me under the radar.

My favourite sportsbooks are SkyBet and BetMGM.

*I'm sure I still have a screencan. I'll post it if I find it.

I'm 'up' in all the bookies, I put low stakes on low odds and make full use of all their free offers

William Hill & Skybet closed my accounts.

I heard we were actually planning to play our games vs. Falkirk at Hampden this season so as to accommodate (most of) the Falkirk fans, but the whole situation with Rangers playing there and Queen's Park not having Lesser ready kind of scuppered that.

Airdrie, Falkirk & primacy of tenure

    *shudder*

  5. I'm reasonably upbeat about the last two games, thought we played some good stuff and there are clearly some decent players coming through - it's been better than I expected tbh

I've seen some utter dugshit over the years supporting Scotland, not even slightly panicked about our recent run - a poor WC qualifying campaign would see Clarke go but not narrow defeats when bottom seeds in the top tier.

See this stonewaller I keep reading about for Morten it's not on the highlights. The only incident I can think of is where a Morten player goes down in the box after Coll has taken the bal with a tackle but obviously that can't be this stonewaller that's being referred to

Aye, but a couple of neutrals were pissing themselves at the decision.

  7. I usually just use my debit card abroad, I know it'll rack up charges but I've kinda just accepted it - currency cards have tweaked my interest though and with a few trips lined up I thought I might give one a try.

    Are they worth it?

Zing & Revolut are being recommended by the moneysavingexpert site - anyone using them?

I’ll be going, can totally get the sentiment of those not going, as there and Ibrox are horrible especially when taking kids. I’d hate to miss out on seeing a historic Bairns victory.

I’ve seen us beat Rangers at Ibrox, Celtic at Ibrox and Hampden but I’ve never seen us win at Celtic Park, time to complete the set.

Good enough excuse to roll out the stat that a decent chunk of Falkirk fans have seen Falkirk beat Celtic at 5 different grounds ^_^

    I'm genuinely curious now.

What show(s) do you think are better than this?

    Mrs Brown's Boys :P

Like I say, perhaps the hype had me expecting something more.

I hate spoilers and other than an awareness that it was very much lauded I didn't know much about it, once the series had finished and I started reading reviews etc I was genuinely surprised to find it ranked top in quite a few lists.

Cue some more Paulie gifs ^_^

  10. Couldn't see a thread for this, apologies if there is.

There are a handful of early round games tonight but it was the new format that tweaked my interest and had me searching P&B for some chat - basically it'll be a single league of 36 sides playing a single tie each against 8 other teams, the top 8 qualify for the knock-out stage automatically with the next 16 playing an additional play-off round to determine who'll meet them.

Details here  New format for Champions League post-2024: Everything you need to know | UEFA Champions League | UEFA.com

Seems interesting and a bit shit at the same time

(FWIW I'm hoping to catch a couple of games in the latter stages should any Italian clubs qualify)
