  1. Pricing in the professional game is another issue, £20 to watch championship level football is far to excessive for the standard you are watching.
  2. Probably you get a better standard of player at the top clubs as opposed the League 2 as they are playing for cups that means something to communities on a regular basis. That eye on the prize which gives a real sense of passion and fight for the jersey. That’s what the juniors is all about for me anyway.
  3. The point I was making is that Auchinleck are being accused of being unambitious by others and I can assure you they are far from that.
  4. Why is your question only “semi serious” Here is a serious reply. Auchinleck as a community have had great benefit of being part of the junior grade. There is a sense of pride of what has been achieved. Don’t think there is anything wrong with being loyal to a grade of football that is unique and has been embedded in an areas culture for years. The irony is that Auchinleck as a club are light years ahead of the majority of the aspirational clubs craving to leave junior football and a lot of the clubs who have already left. This is both on and off the pitch. Another point I make is that it’s unclear at the moment what route the club will take, and probably the feelings will be mixed between supporters and still up for debate over the next few weeks. I also think it’s ironic that the word “blinkered” is being used as that could be pointed at both sides of the debate.
  5. If you leave an association you don’t have the right to take it’s main competition with you... bit of arrogance with some posts already, also the flavour of this thread is that if anyone has the audacity to even suggest something maybe isn’t the best idea then they are personally insulted or clubs are “embarrassments” or worse. Bit of calm needed and respect shown to all whatever path they choose.
  6. Didn’t see Glenafton as confirmed anywhere. Thought their statement was very similar to Talbot.
  7. Think a bit more respect should be shown to any clubs who decide to stay in their current grade, we live in a world with freedom of choice. I’m sure clubs will also be consulting with fans before making some big decisions. Talbot and Glenafton getting some pelters for supporting a potential other outcome. Change is coming and could be exciting times ahead and opportunities for clubs irrespective of what they decide as it could also open doors for clubs at various levels.
  8. Spot on couldn’t agree more, but for some reason posters on this repetitive thread started to blame Talbot for the situation we have found ourselves in.
  9. Think the club have showed their class, and refusing to be drawn into mud slinging on social media.
  10. Teaching kids how to use capital letters properly.
  11. The ground improvements is down to hard work and fundraising the Scottish money is extras to take the ground to the next level like floodlights, pitch covers, new fencing, PA system etc
  12. 2 bottles of Curries Red Cola per player and the love of the club[emoji106]
  13. Credit where credits due, good post and suppose it comes across that all Glens fans are the same. I know that’s not the case and a lot of good junior fans and committee members who work hard to keep the club going. Just an element of the support that the club needs to deal with. A few clubs have elements to deal with we are no different at times when emotion gets the better of some people.
  14. Storm in a tea cup over some discontent with some fans over selling a player. Minority discontented but even them not calling for his head. Everyone has been behind Tucker from day 1.
  15. Bit extreme he does loads of work for the team, prefer him down the right
  16. Yes was in there for one, we were in the town centre before that
  17. Enjoyed my trip to Gayfield, very friendly locals and a good set up, glad the wind didn’t blow!!! This was a game too far to Talbot and the chance was missed on Saturday. You don’t get two opportunities like that against Championship teams. As always very proud of my team and proud of the size of the traveling support. All the best to the Lichties for the rest of the season.
  18. Is there a planned inspection before we head off?
  19. Sarcasm about decline of an industry, class patter!!
  20. Thought Talbot out worked Arbroath all over the park, never game them any time on the ball to get any fluency in their play. Talbot scored a great goal early on which probably resulted in us sitting back too much but we were very hard to break down. We created a few chances on the break in the second half and couldn’t see where Arbroath were getting an equaliser from and ultimately it took a penalty which some are saying was soft but it was the opposite side of the pitch for me so I’m not sure. Sore one in the end for Talbot who were on the brink of a great result against a team flying high in the Championship.
  21. From a Talbot fan this is a bit embarrassing, we got a player sent off and lost the game. Nothing will change let’s move on.
  22. Players get a game on merit, don’t think we have anything to complain about what those players have achieved.
  23. Talbot are a different animal to Bo’ness. The only prediction I make is that Talbot won’t disgrace themselves.
