  1. Trust me, once the wee bugger darling comes out, one is left wondering how the hell they ever fitted in there in the first place!
  2. Ha ha! I was 6 months pregnant with my first wee boy when my hubby came home to find me in floods of tears. I told him that we'd made a mistake and I didn't think I was ready to be a Mum. Poor man had to run when he made the 'bit late now' comment!
  3. Igor's just phoned me from a number that's not his own you know. Reach over and check his pockets.
  4. 3 weeks worth of man-flu in my household culminates in me getting a cold and an ear infection. anti-biotics, paracetemol and ibruprofen not working yet. I need sleep.
  5. Aw bless! You're post-plastered posts on here are fab! Although you might think you want to die right now, think of the fun I have reading about your antics on a sunday!!
  6. LIGHTWEIGHT. (although you probably won't get this till the morning coz your 4th can will have finished you off for the night)
  7. My wee ones first away game I took him to was just along the road at Cowdenbeath. I kid you not, when we were just passing the 'welcome to cowdenbeath' sign he said 'Mummy, what's that smell?'. It honestly had nothing to do with any provocation from us! My youngest son, who is a bit of a handful, used to come out with a puzzler till the penny dropped with me. I used to ask him 'what's my name?' and couldn't figure out what he was saying in return. took a while but he was saying 'bad'. Probably coz that's the word I used most when talking/screaming like a fish wife to him!
  8. My 5 year still says 'hostible' for hospital. He just can't get it! He also used to say 'milky-storey' instead of multi-storey. I don't like it when all the cutsie words go and they speak proper england!
  9. Liverpool Carling Academy on Saturday to see Echo and the Bunnymen. Can't wait! They always seem to give it that wee bit extra being on home turf. Going to the Royal Albert Hall to see them next Sept where they will be play on the 25th anniversary of their first performance there. Ocean Rain to be sang by Mac accompanied by a full string orchestra. I know already that I will sob my heart out! I get quite emotional when they play that!
  10. I was told that by the midwife. Hot sex, hot curry and a hot bath might help get things kick started. It's a pity that when your the size of a house and are comtemplating passing a pineapple through a pea shooter that you feel like none of that. My friend was told to drink some olive oil! All that did was make her throw up. Bide your time! Good things come to those who wait!
  11. Sky+ is broken. No satellite tv till Monday until new install. Gotta entertain the kids now! They're gutted and disgusted at the fact there are only 5 channels we can get. Cue Me telling them 'When I was wee' story that they couldn't care less about. It's gonna be a bumpy ride!!
  12. Pesky illness! I don't have blood pouring out my eyes so I WILL make it to Hampden on Saturday but what a bloody time to get my first attack in a year. S'no fair! Bring on the steroids!!
  13. The Flying Scotsman - 6/10 The book was at least an 8 but the film wisnae sae good.
  14. I heard someone the other night saying 'look, you're not listening to me so what's the point of this. You've had 3 chances now bye bye' The last bit is funny! I wouldn't have the guts to do that in a note! Too compliant, that's me (only in a work sense mind!)!
  15. Oh dear. Just speak slowly, take deep breaths and long pauses in between customer rants! Works for me!
  16. Echo and the Bunnymen at the Carling Academy in Liverpool, December. Only downside is that Liverpool are playing Reading away that weekend. I'm trying to persuade the other half to go to Goodison as they play Fulham. Better than no football at all surely?
  17. I don't really know! We change every week to one of 4 different pods! I think 13 or possibly 18 is one of them! Veer off to the right and up to the back of the centre. Although, I do get lost quite often coz I'm not there often enough to remember!
  18. It'll be the same lazy beggars that stopped me from getting next Tuesday off. I dunno, off for 3 months then I have to work like 4 weeks on the trot AND my next holiday isn't for another 12 weeks. Poor old 2 shifts a week me! B)
  19. Wow, that's early! My little angel doesn't break up till next wednesday, which incidentally is my 10th wedding anniversary. Happy anniversary to us. 'As a present you can have your little boy to entertain for 7 weeks whilst we have a holiday'! Woo hoo indeed!
  20. Aw shame. I've only got 3 weeks and 4 days left out of my 11 weeks off. Time flies huh
