  1. I used to give Pressley the benefit of the doubt regarding how he acted as a Celtic player, thought he maybe got caught up in the moment and his actions weren't aimed at the fans.  Then he returned with Falkirk as a player and manager and acted like a complete p***k both times so f**k him.  Wonder if he'll still consider himself too good for Scottish football when no one else will touch him with a bargepole.
I was impressed with him til the Celtic game.
Arguably his actions as Falkirk manager was just him doing his job.

You obviously know very little about the way things were back then. Even Protestants who wanted to play for our club wouldn’t out of the fear of being singled out or accused of being a traitor to the crown.

Pish. It doesn't get round the fact to play for the original Hibernian team you had to be a practicing Catholic.

Actually, that’s not even true at all. Protestants refused to play for the club because they refused to play along side Catholics. They were never officially forbidden from doing so.

What, not a single Protestant wanted to play with them?

    It is true.

Your suggestion that not a single Protestant would play with these nasty Catholics, despite them being welcome, is ridiculous.

So Hearts were set up as a sectarian club with respect to having to be a member of a dancehall...

In Scottish terms sectarian has become synonymous with religion. But anything which excludes others could be considered sectarian.

Hearts were set up by people who frequented a dance hall.

They didn't exclude those who went to other halls though.

The club were sectarian merely because they were founded by a couple of priests? I'd be interested in your "literal" interpretation of what sectarianism is.

No they were sectarian because you couldn't play for them if you weren't Catholic.

I'm not denying there was discrimination against Catholics at that time.

I'm equally unconvinced creating your own exclusive wee club was the most effective way of dealing with that.

Hibs were founded to allow Catholics to play football since they were excluded from other clubs. Like Hearts for example. Some brass neck to claim the club set up to combat the sectarian behaviour of every other club in Edinburgh was the exclusionary one.

    Hearts have never excluded anyone.

  7. It turns out that Axl is amazing. He's a wee naan of course but oh my, he can do it!

He's up there with the best of them, I must say. . .It gives me super seeth that Queen thought that they could get away with a dirty baby wipe as a front man.

I was at the gig last night.

Despite loving both bands I wasn't sure about Axl with AC/DC.

    it was amazing.

  8. Haven't seen anyone else at Hampden but I believe that other acts have utilised the area behind the goals.

I think the sole purpose of the huge space behind the goals was that the Stadium Planners hadn't a fucking clue. They should have brought the Terraces closer to the pitch IMO. Would increase the atmosphere at sporting events.

U2 had the stage at the East stand.

I'm not convinced it would be any better if you're towards the back.

  9. couple of points

    1) Uber mock outrage? Where did this occur, you making shit up again?

    2) " taking the piss about their Club for sexually abusing young boys" - there's been more child abusers employed by Heats, and played in the 1st team, than there ever has with Celtic.

I assume you mean two individuals.

What we've never had is a systematic covering up of their actions whilst banging on about the wonderful youth policy we have.

  10. I wouldn't say we're being bullish.

Before every derby over the last few years we've went in saying we won't win, and we haven't. I think most Hibs fans know that we are underdogs, but think that if there's a time to beat Hearts it might be now. I'm of the opinion that ability won't be as important as usual, whoever has the biggest balls on the day will win. Normally Hibs bottle the big games but there's gradually more passion and belief there with Fenlon it seems. I'm not being bullish, but I think we have a bit of a chance.

Whenever Hibs fans say they aren't confident we're branded as cowardly shitebags, even mention that we might win and we're bullish and arrogant. Either way if Hearts win this I'll hide under my bed for a month anyway.

I know you don't necessarily fit this description but a brief look at the Hibs forums before the last few derbies shows nothing of the sort.
