  1. Yeah one of our plastic gutters on teh conservatory has completerly buckled, I had to trya nd remove solid blocks of ice from the one on teh house, absolute nighmare, its at leasy 4 inches thick, a bloody axe would go through it, trust me I tried it.
  2. Never mind the fact the bins wont get emptied, my green bin is frozen solid as f**k, it just wont open.
  3. I suppose, its either untouched snow here, or fairly compacted snow with no ice, so I wouldn't know what everywhere else is like.
  4. Is it wrong of me to say, if they are that bad, why not walk on the road, there isnt exactly a deluge of traffic atm.
  5. I was just about speared by a 2 foot long fucker from my roof. *sniggers, hehe*
  6. Yeah that is some trek he is making, the thing about HW is it is in teh middle of nowwhere really and I reckon you will find most of the people there either live in halls or have a flat in teh middle of town, making it easier to get to, than those further afield. Oh and another photo of the back garden.
  7. Got bored and this is with it being cleared of all snow yesterday, God this is grating on me. . The back garden hasnt been touched however and I went out briefly to the garage and the snow is coming up to the middle of my shins, so I reckon its almost a foot and a half deep, I'm just glad we got insulation in the roof about 2 months ago. really feeling the difference.
  8. Its just the fact that everything has stopped, which is fair enough given the circumstances, but hopefully it all gets fixed eventually, its the worst I have ever seen in Edinburgh, albeit i am only 18.
  9. I had a bit of intereference and it was a bit ropey on the house phone.
  10. I was there the other day and I will say that it is rather bad, but I also know people that work there and thye didnt even bother going in and they could feasably walk it in half an hour, but frankly I dont blame them.
  11. The thing is the bins cant be emptied if there is a risk of getting stuck, thus resulting in more diversions, even less trucks, etc
  12. Hmm my dear parents are uptown at the moment, having both got buses in to work, I wish them luck getting home. Its just the fact none of us were really expecting this to hit us again, its not stopped snowing for the last 4 or 5 hours here and it not like its a flurry, its practically a white fog out there its that thick. Now any of you that know Edinburgh well, I am just off Gamekeepers Road, thats been cleared and gritted slightly, now I am just of it, but my street is fucking murder, its really bad, no sign of any help and the number of cars I have ssen driving down it in the last week, can be no more that 10 or 15, mostly all of them 4WD estates and off roaders, but even they are only going about5 mph. You can always tell how tentative teh people in the neighbourhood are when the pavements arent even compacted like uptown, its practically untouched snow for 7 days. I suppose it doesnt help when a lot of people where I am are either elderly of have kids. I only hope it does clear, I need to get presents for in less than a week. And my only means of gettting to any shops is a bus. Plus its getting on my wick. Sorry rant over.
  13. cleared the whole drive yesterday, now there is 4 more inches of snow on it, dont know why I bothered, at least I dont have to leave teh house and I have Macaroni Cheese for lunch.
  14. The A-Team - 8/10 Really enjoyed this for some reason, that is all.
  15. I have a law module next term, doesn't sound promising.
  16. Come on thats getting a bit off track.
  17. Aye fair enough thats acceptable, just hope the bloody tree isn't up yet.
  18. Poor show, its far too early, I hope there is a good reason for it. should be up on the 13th and no earlier. Apology accepted, easy mistake for one whos not as sharp as me.
  19. I was actually talking about the glare on teh window of his house, but now you pointed that out, those people should get a serious talking to.
  20. TBH ours is about the same level as yours. Oh and have you got Christmas lights up already you sad fucker.
  21. Oh and theres a big fucker icicle on the conservatory, weell over 2 feet long, that would slice a man in 2.
  22. Took me well over an hour to clear just a path through the driveway today, still no sign of gritters and snow plows where we are, plus both cars are buried in about 9 inches of snow, chances are I will be digging all weekend, at least I will be fit as a butchers dog by the end of it.
  23. Christ even edinburgh has double what London has, and we dont get snow here.
  24. Sure yur cardboard box didn't just blow away??
