Well generally someone "obsessed" spends a lot of time commenting in threads associated with the thing they're supposed to be obsessed with, no?

Running away to the heads gone thread  in advance of potential loss of unbeaten run would point in that direction. The journeymen comment has really broken you I think. See you in a few years if you’re lucky!

It's the last game of the season. If Hendo can't make it, get Bisland in there, keep the shape. Defend properly and we'll be fine. It's not some jobber we're firing in. He's not Coll or Lang, but ffs, the boy is a part of this squad. Its going to be a practice match with any sort of intensity coming from our forwards

McGlynn has confirmed Hendo is out.

No-one knows for certain. The only thing I could see is that after an Annan player hit a shot, his leg came into contact with Finn's boot as he challenged. You can see the ball behind the number fours leg so Finn was literally a thousandth of a second too late with the challenge and the ball was there to be won. I showed him the pic on the bus home afterwards and he was bemused at the award as the ball had gone.

Spot the currant without the bus fare in the crowd there.

We have Morrison on 23. Maciver himself on 14 (a respectable return in itself). Nesbitt on 11 and Miller on 9.

Coves next 2 under Burrell are on 9 and 5.

So Ross Maciver is a mere 7 goals behind a poacher who scores all his teams goals, who has an entire team dedicated to feeding him because that's all he can do, but has been instrumental as the target man in a system that as you say, has yielded goals by the hatful from the attacking midfielders. There's no sensible conversation to be had about whether we would have been better off with Burrell. We play John McGlynns football. John McGlynn replaced Burrell with Maciver, yielding the above results and one week from an invincible season.

No conversation to be had at all.

It’s no secret I’m biased towards MacIver, I admitted this when he signed, that he’s a nephew one of my wife’s best friends, but honestly that is not impacting on my opinion of him. He’s been absolutely fucking crucial to our season and I love him to bits.

My brother was at Murrayfield taking match photos for Falkirk Rugby club - they won the League cup.  He'll be chuffed.

My opinion of MacIver certainly did improve.  I can see his value a bit more.  Still can't help thinking if we kept Burrell how many more goals we would have scored. There is a reason the other players who voted for team of the year didn't put him in the team, and I would suggest they might know more than we do?  Could be wrong though.

So yes, he went up in my opinion today.

I’m not sure we’d have scored many more goals than the 94 we already have (just in the league) but I guarantee you we wouldn’t have had the togetherness and squad camaraderie we have now if we’d kept Burrell.

The other players voted for him purely on goal tally, not contribution to the team.

Luckily I was "abroad" so got to stream the game.  Fairly limped over the finishing line there.  It was never going to be easy today but I was looking for more of an "up and at 'em" display.  On the bright side, the way the last part of the game went made sure there's no need to take my laxative tonight.

I think it was a mistake to take Morrison and Nesbitt off.  Especially Nizzy.

The players must all be really tired by now, just wanting it over.  I hope they are raring to go next week and put on a show worthy of the monumental effort they have put in this season.

"once more unto the breach dear friends".

What did you and your brother think of MacIver’s contribution today?

What won’t help is not having a CH fit or not suspended. We played most of the 2nd half with 2 fullbacks across the back.

Absolutely. Big Rossco played at CH for Alloa a couple times in emergencies I think. I’d take 0-0 right now next week. Although 6-6 would be fine too for the tonne! 🤣

My mate said about 6 weeks ago that bad refereeing had more chance of costing us going invincible than anything else, the b*****ds are trying hard.

They did it for us in the last game at Brockville when we were going for a season unbeaten at home the c***s. I wouldn’t put it past them.

Annan are a fucking disgrace, time wasting, laying in the boot and diving about to get fouls. They were facilitated by an another awful referee.

In truth we should have won by 4 or 5 and it would not have flattered us.

One to go to create history now.

Honestly thought it should have been 5 at half time and wouldn’t have flattered us. Unlucky and then shocking refereeing.
