  1. Apparently the whole album is availible to listen via a link from Kasabians Facebook. Only works for folk in Britain though

    Yeah it's streaming on iTunes.

Quite like it on first listen, Bumblebeee, Eez-eh and Bow are the standouts for me. Not really any bad songs on it but it gets a bit dull in the middle.

  2. Went to NIN tonight. I must have just missed the start.

The last 2 or 3 songs were what I wanted, but the majority of the gig was a pretty major disappointment. A lot of new album slow electronic stuff which just never got the crowd going at all.

I'd never seen NIN before and this was my big chance to see them. I feel cheated.

I thought they were good but I agree with parts of this, the bit in between Closer and Wish was quite dull. The new songs don't really come across that well live. I thought the rest of the set was great though.

  3. They're playing small venues as warm-up gigs for the Leicester gig and Glastonbury this summer, they've done that for the last few albums. They're still as big as they were and will be doing arenas again in the winter.

Got tickets for Dunfermline in the pre-sale this morning, looking forward to it.

  4. Looks like they are playing an outdoor gig in Dublin in June. Fingers crossed for something similar in Glasgow.

Will said they'd probably be back in Scotland next summer, so I wouldn't be surprised.

  5. Incredible gig! Best gig I've been to at the barrowlands and I've seen some great gigs there. Reflektor, Power Out and Wake Up were the highlights for me.

The whole thing was ridiculously brilliant, what with the mariachi band, dress code and the band dancing in the crowd while wearing the big heads before the gig.

  6. North American arena tour just announced for March and April then again in August. Wonder if they've left May - July for a European tour or if they're keeping it for the festival season (Glastonbury headliner?).

They're doing European festivals in May/June so I think they'll either play Glastonbury or do another big outdoor gig in London like they did in Hyde Park a couple of years ago.

  7. I think the second half of the album is much more consistent than the first, in that there aren't really any standout tracks on the second half whereas the first has a couple of songs I'm not too keen on but also Reflektor, We Exist and Normal Person which for me are the best on the album.
