Thought this was worthy of a place here. 2 legends together.
Probably the highlight of Ian Brown's solo career.

Burton O'Brien is playing for us in a friendly tonight. Is he any good?

^^^ Music taste is too sophisticated for Oasis, but whenever the house is free he swaggers about the house in a Parka and shades singing Acquiesce.
I'm pretty sure Coca Cola sued them for Shakermaker as well. The bit with the same tune as "I'd like to teach the world to sing" used to have the same words IIRC.
Makes me wonder if Gary Glitter knew anything about Hello, which has the same tune and words as his song by the same name.
I'm sure Gary Glitter sued Oasis for that as he's credited as a songwriter for Hello.

Are trialists allowed in the Challenge Cup?
They are in the first round.

If you want to avoid the hits and album tracks I would reccommend these Oasis b-sides;
Take Me Away
Full On
Rockin' Chair
Just Getting Older
Idler's Dream
(I Got) A Fever
My Sister Lover
Round Our Way
Pass Me Down The Wine
Eyeball Tickler
Let's All Make Believe
(As Long As They've Got) CigarettesI In Hell
Would also reccommend BoneHeads Bankholiday. It was on a special edition of WTSMG
As well as these, give Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders?, Revolution Song, Carry Us All, One Way Road, Heart Of A Star, Thank You For The Good Times, Those Swollen Hand Blues, I Believe In All, Boy With The Blues and The Fame a listen.
In terms of Beady Eye, In The Bubble With A Bullet is their best b-side.
For High Flying Birds, A Simple Game Of Genius, It Makes Me Wanna Cry, God Help Us All, Freaky Teeth, Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me and The Good Rebel are all good.

Hey, I'm probably missing something obvious but I couldn't find the PM option, but just to confirm we're good to meet at Central at 5pm today? So you know it's me, I'm kinda tall (6'4"), I have longish brown hair and a beard and I'll be wearing a white T-shirt with blue and gold design...and I'll be standing beside Tie Rack. Cheers!
Yeah I'm free to meet today.

No problem, I could meet you as early as next week if that suits? Would you be free to meet, say, Tuesday (29th) at 5pm at Central? If anywhere else suits better just let me know.
That should be fine.

Cool, when/where would suit you to meet so I could buy it from you?
Somewhere in Glasgow over the next couple of weeks would be ideal.

Yeah that'd be great thanks how much is it?
It was £19.50.

Anyone selling a standing ticket for the Glasgow date? Only had seating tickets left in Tickets Scotland and don't know how easy it is to sneak into standing...
I'm going to sell mine so you can buy it if you want?

Anyone know who the support band was at the Miles Kane gig in Dundee last night? Thanks.
It was Eugene McGuiness in Glasgow, so I assume he supported in Dundee as well.

I'm going to see Miles Kane in Dundee tomorrow.
Seen him at the barrowlands tonight, was brilliant.

Wasn't the Cast gig cancled cause John Power had Laryngitis? Might have been a different gig?
They didn't cancel Glasgow but the next 2 dates have been cancelled. John couldn't do the encore though so they had to get crowd members to get up and sing.

What a guy, "chicken nuggets is like my family".

How was Miles Kane last night?
Gutted I missed it but by the time folk got through it was too late. As I said in The Kasabian thread, they were epic. Tom Meighan is a cool fucker, I probably would.
Miles was excellent as usual, really good support. Serge came on and danced/sang 'Inhaler' with him.
