  1. Gow 1 Greenock 3

What a waste of a drive to Greenock and back. Poor show from Gow.

A freak goal and a wind assisted worldie saw us 2-0 down.  Pulled one back from free kick. 2-1 at half time.  Looked the better team in second half but couldn't get the ball in the net.

Greenock caught us with a late one.

All in all under par performance.  Must do better.

  2. Port Glasgow 0 Lesmahagow 2

Good win on the road, especially after a dip in form over the last fortnight.

Played at a fast pace. Gow scored against run of play. Would say Port shaded first half possession wise.

The Gow came more into it in second half and ran out worthy winners.

On to cup duties now, until the end of the month, when we play Greenock.

Tidy wee set up at Parklea, was my first visit.

    Gow 0 Lanark 1

Well deserved derby win. Should have been by a much bigger margin. Missed 4 excellent first half chances, incl 1 absolute sitter and then another sitter right at the death by our brand new striker Chris Kelly who could have had a debut to remember.

Lanark had a player sent off on 50 minutes but this was evened up 8 minutes later when Schonville got a straight red for deliberate handball so the advantage was quickly lost.

Lanark badly affected by injuries and Bank Holiday absences ( like many no doubt) but good to see the lad Bulloch back from injury, who played so well on his first and only appearance for Lanark.

We were inept, tactics were rubbish. Sat too deep. Never offered much midfield to front. Perplexing substitutions.

No where near good enough considering what was at stake.

We had players missing too but no excuse for serving up that dross.

Your goal came from a corner that should never have been, it was your player that headed it out and ref gave you the corner. It wasn't even debatable, he clearly headed it out.

Don't get me wrong it doesn't detract from how poor we were and we could still be playing on Monday and wouldn't have scored.

  4. Lesmahagow 3 Glasgow United 2

Score flattered United. Gow 1-0 up at half time, opposition offered little and we should have added to our lead.

United did up things a bit second half, after Gow went up 2-0.  United got ot a goal back. Then we scored a screamer from 20 yards 3-1.

Then the strangest penalty ever. Gow player put hand up to claim ball was out. United player blasted it said raised hand.

Referee gave penalty, later admitted he didn't know if it was out or not. He was over officious and card happy throughout.

The Gow should have put this game out if sight long before creeping over the line at 3-2.

  5. Special mention to Lesmahagow who managed another goalfest at Bellshill, which ended 5-5.

Our rampant goalscoring ability since the start of the season has only been matched by our ability to let them in

    So far this season

7-6 win v Vale of Leven

    1-1 v  Dalry. Timid affair

5-4 loss v Kilsyth Ath. Missed pen.

    6-1 win v Kello Rovers

    5-5 v Bellshill Athletic

I'm going for 9-8 win over Glasgow United., next Saturday 🤣

10 in the starting line up and at least 3 subs came on Davie Collins not stripped so at least 14, if not more. They are a good unit, no doubt. Fit and play good stuff. Am hoping no hasty decisions taken to jettison some from the original squad but there are going to be some decent players available to be signed in the near future, no doubt.

Great to see big Liam back at Moor Park.

That's good. I saw Liam in there line ups and I mind him being at Lanark but didn't know if he was heading over.

They narrowly missed out on CAFL title last season, so a good squad.

  7. Bellshill Athletic 5 Lesmahagow 5

The Gow continue their rampant goalscoring exploits only to be matched by their ability to let them in.

Crusing 3-1 at half time. Wind played a factor in the game.  4-4 with minutes to go. Gow got a penalty 5-4, Bellshill raced up the park 5-5. Ref blew full time.

Normally getting a draw away from home wouldn't be a bad result but considering we were 5-4 up with seconds to go, feels like one that got away.

Announced yesterday. I am presuming he will bring an entourage with him , otherwise I'll need to break the dubbin out.

I heard possibly as many as eight players.

If he continues the success he's had at ammies you will do alright.

Just keep that dubbing ready for tomorrow, just incase👍

And another one bites the dust. John Barr who we also did not get the opportunity to see much of due to injury. Very encouraging to his colleagues from the bench, to be fair. Vocal is what we need as we are too quiet, IMO

You will be getting drafted into squad at this rate for Muirkirk game tomorrow.

Is new manager not in yet?
