  1. Jonny Hendricks has got a bit of the Dan Henderson about him. If he could do more damage from the top position he would stand a better chance against GSP.

Safety first again for St Pierre.

  2. Cannabis doesn't make you slur your speech as he was doing.

The odd time when I was younger and participated, my speech wasn't too clever either. My sense of humour did improve though.

  3. I honestly don't know whether to laugh at Diaz or feel sorry for him. He's clearly been punched in the head too many times.

Or he's smoked too many jeebers before going to the press conference.

  4. Yet again ESPN manage to not only overrun their slot. They overrun on the slot after too. It's getting to the stage now that you have to record the next 4 programmes on your guide after a UFC event on ESPN to avoid missing the end of a main event.

The show ended for me at the end of round 2 of Struve and Hunt. Luckily(or so I thought) I had planned to record the next thing on the planner (Sky had it down on the guide as basketball I think) but naw, it overran that too and I got to the start of round two of Stann and Silva and yet again "programme ended, press back upto return" The sooner ESPN gets to fcuk, the better.

It's starting to get poor value. Does Virgin still do ESPN for free if you take a certain package?

  5. Was a bit disappointed with Carmouche's defence of the arm lock. After all the talk on the countdown show of how impressive she was at defending it, she lay on her back and let Rousey play with her enough to get it locked on.

Anyway. She was asking for trouble when she lay on her back with her hands behind her head inviting somebody to roll. Very silly. Dinnae f**k around with high level judo players on the ground for too long or we'll see that you cannae defend an arm lock after all.

  6. Bader-Teixera is a very strange one for me, that's definitely a step down from Rampage for Glover. The division is in kind of a strange place with Jones tied up with Sonnen and Hendo-Machida/Gustafsson waiting in line, but that is a bizarre fight to make for Teixera. Nothing to win for him there IMO.

Cerrone should beat Noons, he beats guys of that level but falls short at the top level.

The LHW division is a conundrum sometimes. Jackson beats Machida, Machida destroys Bader, Bader easily beats Jackson as does Teixera, Evans beats Davis, Davis beats Gustafsson, Machida gets beat from Rua who is easily beaten by Gustafsson and Evans is destroyed by Machida all in the past few years. On any given day, they are all hard results to call as they can all beat each other. The only one who looks like remaining unbeaten for a good while is Jones.

I would definitely stay away from betting on a LHW match.

  7. Melendez-Bendo will be great but I see absolutely no way of Melendez winning that one. Bendo is much bigger, more well rounded on his feet, a vastly superior wrestler and he's fantastic on the ground.

I think Cormier takes a clear decision over Mir, 30-26 or something.

Mir has historically had trouble with big powerful wrestlers but Cormier isn't in the same size bracket as Lesnar or Carwin so I'm going to stick my neck out and say Mir has a great chance of pulling a submission off.

  8. Rory said he wouldn't fight GSP. Personally, I see that as grounds to kick him out of the place altogether. If your aim isn't to go for the title, you can f**k off.

Correct. Jones and Evans said the same thing. Cue a split in the camp and Evans finds new training facilities. Life goes on.

  9. Thought the Hearts were cracking today. Completely dominated the midfield, wide players just ripped them, full backs supported. Hearts found space where hibs couldn't. If they had really gone for it they might have won by 7 or 8. Great day and great atmosphere.

When your orgasm has subsided, get back on the Bo'ness thread where you belong.;)
