  1. King's Park station is proably 15 mins walk, and the train will take the slightly longer going round the other side of the circle. If you've got a train season ticket, that'll be accepted on the bus anyways, however you'd be as well to buy a bus season ticket if you've not, as single fares and all day tickets are expensive compared to the train. What you've missed is the end of the buy-to-let boom/exhortion (delete as appropriate). This would be a good thing if it were possible to actually get a mortgage these days, but it'll no doubt be a bad thing if my landlord's mortgage increases big time. Any spare cardboard boxes around?
  2. I'm about 2-3 mins walk from Mount Florida station, so it's a bit of a bummer. The 66 stops on my street wheras the 44 stop is a few minutes away, but I prefer the 44 as it doesn't do a magical mystery tour of the Gorbals and Merchant City. Feck knows what the problem is at Pollokshields East. I had a nosey out the window a few times. Some of the sleepers look a bit fucked, but there sees to be subsidence between the tracks too. Tis a pain in the arse, as I'm on Flexi. 2 minutes or so every day soon adds up.
  3. Ach, the 44 will be great fun. The boss has already been told that I'm putting in a half hour flexi update each day of the works.
  4. As origninally posted in the RTBC thread by accident: Joy of fucking joys.
  5. It would seem that I put too much pepper on my pieces this morning. Fucksakes.
  6. Saw them quite far down the bill at Triptych. I thought they were very good. Bit of Klaxonsy stuff going on there, but in a good way.
  7. Teenage Fanclub on Sunday then Radiohead a fortnight tonight.
  8. Just be fucking thankful you've not predicted the Dutch to finish bottom of their section, like some.
  9. Aye, a young woman being stabbed to death is fucking hilarious.
  10. I've had the fucking Kooks latest single firmly lodged in my head all morning. This is grim.
  11. Just checked my profile for the first time in donkeys, so thought I'd fire in a belated reply.

Went to the Triptych gig in Glasgow where Mogwai headlined. Lots of new stuff, but good all the same. Way too pished to remember the setlist tho'.

I'd never listened to My Father My King much, but it blew my socks off at the Albert hall gig.

  12. On the contrary, Chris Fahey's "goalkeeping" gave me a wee spring in my step this morning.
  13. The streets of Glasgow are awash with recycled kebab this morning.
  14. Pikced up a couple of tickets for the Triptych all-dayer with Mogwai earlier. Went to a similar gig as part of last year's festival, which was rather good, so I'm looking forward to it.
  15. Radiohead - Morning Bell (live on Colin Murray's R1 show) I feel guilty about not paying my licence fee for two years now.
  16. Thanks to the Man Ure game, I forgot about the fucking Radiohead gig on Radio 2. iPlayer it is, then.
  17. I'll give this week a miss as well. Can't be arsed with 9.30 starts.
  18. Tis been a shitty day all round. Early start tomorrow for work related shite that's likely to be mind numbingly pants. Oh joy. On the bright side, I have had an evening of doing shite that's been sitting around needing done for donkeys.
  19. Unexpected hangovers. Went out with the gf to watch the fitba yesterday. During the 2nd half of the Man U-Scousers game and all of the Chelsea-Arsenal game, we had a respectable 4 pints of Kronenbourg each. We then proceeded to call in at Haddows en route to my flat. 3 bottles of wine were purchased, but only two drank. Plenty of food was also had. A perfectly respectable Sunday you might think, but I was utterly fucked until an hour ago. Old age is pish.
  20. I'm utterly rooked at present. Stick me in as a definite for the follwoing week, as payday is a week on Monday.
  21. That's a bloody brilliant cover!! Can't mind which one, but it's played over the end credits of a film I watched farily recently.
  22. I saw Bombskare a few years back at gig organised by the Section B. They were indeed rather good.
  23. Likewise, even with GC giving me a lift to Central a few weeks back, I still got home after half 11. 7.30 or earlier suits me as I can work on 'til 7 and head straight to fives. A half 9 start means leaving the house at half 8 or so and not returning home until 3 hours later. I don't mind spending 3 hours in the pub on a weeknight, but for anything else, I really can't be arsed.
  24. I'm oot again next week. Off to London for a long weekend. I'll be back after than, half 9 starts notwithstanding...
  25. I don't fancy the half 9 start. I'll play of you can't get 10 though.
