  1. True. The La's have reformed though, so hopefully people won't think of it as that Sixpence None The Richer song anymore No news of any dates in Scotland though
  2. There she goes There she goes again Racing through my brain And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she blows There she blows again Pulsing through my veins And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes (There she goes again) There she goes again (There she goes again) Racing through my brain (There she goes) And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes There she goes again She calls my name she pulls my train No one else could heal my pain And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes (She calls my name) There she goes again (She calls my name) Chasing down my lane (She calls my name) And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes (There she goes again) There she goes (There she goes again) There she goes There she goes There she goes again Racing through my brain And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes There she goes again Pulsing through my veins And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes (There she goes again) There she goes again (There she goes again) Racing through my brain (There she goes) And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes There she goes again She calls my name she pulls my train No one else could heal my pain And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes (She calls my name) There she goes again (She calls my name) Chasing down my lane (She calls my name) And I just can't contain This feeling that remains There she goes (There she goes again) There she goes (There she goes again) There she goes
  3. I'm not listening to them, but I just bought Shack - Waterpistol and the Shack single Oscar from amazon Oscar is a brilliant song
  4. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - Morrissey, live at Earls Court. It's fecking brilliant
  5. I can't remember the name of it, but the last book I read was by the two journalists who covered the revelations of David Shayler about the Security Services. Very interesting and kind of worrying when they went into detail about the pishiness of our security forces. I quite fancy getting a book about the history of Israel to read. I also quite fancy getting one of Nick Cohen's books and 'The Strnage Death of Tory England' by Geoffrey Wheatcroft.
  6. Watched a couple of DVDs at the weekend. Lost in Translation: I like Bill Murray and it was an impressive piece of work, but I wouldn't say I enjoyed it as such. Some bits were funny and the love story was well done. I couldn't hear what the hell they were saying half the time. 7.5/10 Enduring Love: An interesting film featuring Rhys Ifans as Daniel Craig's stalker. I thought it was an interesting film and didn't take the turns I expected. My burd didn't like it as much as she said that she didn't identify or like any of the characters in it. I enjoyed it though and would recommend it. 8/10
  7. Is there not a Scary Movie 3? I don't find these films funny. Modern film comedy leaves me cold, in fact most film comedy doesn't do it for me. Stupid slapstick, knob-joke schtick - doesn't float my humour boat. However, to avoid me being classified as a Pansyist style obscurist ( ) I thoroughly enjoy 'shooting-fighting-killing dumb-ass' action flicks
  8. I wouldn't mind seeing Super Size Me, but the thing that sticks in the back of my mind is surely it's not rocket science that eating McD's every day will make you unhealthy? Some liberal film-maker makes a film showing what everyone knows and he's praised to high heavens. I'm sure it's very well made and entertaining though. I quite fancy watching Gosford Park on Saturday night.
  9. I went to see a couple of films last weekend with the missus. First one was Sideways, which I thought was good. I don't really go for most comedy films, the kind of slapstick humour that seems to be all pervading these days doesn't really appeal to me. I had seen one of the directors previous films (Election) and I really enjoyed it and Sideways was also enjoyable. It was kind of slow, but I liked that and it built up to be very funny indeed by the end. There was a touch of melancolia about it as well which I liked. Overall - 7/10 A couple of days later we went to see Sahara after finding ourselves at a loose end. It was a complete load of pish but was enjoyable in a brainless kind of way. It's the kind of film you'd watch on telly when you've nothing to do and relatively enjoy it. I'd give it 5/10.

  19. What a great tune The incessant buzz of the office
  20. I bought the album for a fiver in a sale, it's class, although I can understand why lee Mavers didn't like it - some of the production is a little 80s (just a little, mind). There She Goes is a classic Jim, you miserable sod Death on the Stairs - The Libertines
