  1. Off to Ayr tonight for some of the worst racing you're ever likely to see. Still a comp is a comp and the drink will still taste the same...
  2. Farcial scenes at Ayr today where 7 horses in total either slipped or were brought down coming into the straight. Joe Fanning, stable jockey of Mark Johnston, has a broken collarbone whilst the other parties, both jockeys and horses, seem to have escaped without serious injury. The director of Ayr Racecourse made a couple of astonishing points which bemused me. It's one of the most bizarre and worrying scenes I've witnessed on a racecourse. http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse-racin...on-bend/608153/
  3. I had a wee chuckle to myself in the last at Mussy there. I backed the winner when it ran on Saturday at Carlisle only to see it run down on the line. It ran today and despite jinking right across the course today losing half a dozen lengths (at least) it romped to an 11l success...I give up.
  4. Never done it e/w because the field was only 7. It came to two out very stylish but never stayed the extra furlong. Once dropped back to 6 I think you'll see it winning soon. It was 3rd to a very decent horse of Karl Burke's who has just been placed in a group 3 in France today following on from a win in a listed race on Derby day at Epsom. I'll be keeping an eye on it for next time.
  5. I'm off as well, couple of decent races. Karl Burke's horses nornally come on a ton for their first run and he has a horse called Riley Queen Bee in the 3rd (I think) who looks like it will go the same way. Andrew Elliot comes up to take the ride and normally rides a few winners for Burke. The combo have had an excllent 2nd with Regnier at Royal Ascot today.
  6. What a horse Yeats is. Thought Murtagh gave it a cracking ride as well, took the sting out of the field 6 furlongs out and played to the horse's strength.
  7. The boy's done ye. You don't need a slip to collect winnings. I've lost/misplaced several coupons and still collected.
  8. I had that as well. Looked as though there was a lot more horse underneath than the jock produced.
  9. I'd swap winning any money this week to slap the tit Sherwood.
  10. I think it's pretty self explanatory...I wouldn't back him if he was anything less.
  11. I've went for Frankie to be top jockey at 16's. E/w trixie of Alexandros, Intense Focus and Galient
  12. Coronation Cup - Duncan 15/2 Oaks - Perfect Truth 13/1 Derby - Gan Amrhas 33/1 (ante-post) & Black Bear Island 9/1
